"Hello?" She yawns.

I gasp. "Were you taking a nap?"

"No, I'm tired."

"That makes more sense."

"Why'd you call?"

"Can't a friend just call because a friend wants to call?"

"Yeah... just like a friend can leave school and travel across the country for a pool party. If you can do that, why didn't you come home for Christmas?"

"I was snowed in, besides, I didn't come back for the pool party, do you know how long of a plane flight it takes in order for me to get there? The first time I had heard about the party was when you called me complaining."

"Wait, so you... were visiting anyway?"

"Yeah." I laugh. "Oh come on, Van, use that brain of yours."

"Brain? Where?" She laughs and I snicker. "I'm no longer upset about your life choices now. Why'd you call?"

"Geez. I called to say the month is almost over, how'd your grades do?"

"Oh crud! I can't believe I actually forgot about the acting gig! Stay on the phone, I'm gonna check my grades really quickly." After a while of silence, she gasps. "Woah."

"What? Are you passing them all?"

"No, I'm failing more than I ever have in my entire life! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! What am I going to do?!" She starts sniffling like she's crying.

"Wait! Don't cry! You can do it, okay?! You'll get it back up!" I encourage her not knowing what else to say.

Suddenly, she's laughing. "How was my acting?"

"What?"

"ALL A'S BABYYY~~! YEAH! WOO!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!" She squeals. "Well, I have a B in one class though. I hate Meif'wa Class."

"How do you get a B in Meif'wa Class when you've been a Meif'wa your whole life?"

"I failed the unit test about sleep."

I sigh. "Only you, Van, only you."

"I'm special." I can basically see her smiling.

"Yes, yes, you are."

"Anyway, rant time."

"Go right ahead."

"Rant Of The Day: Parties are now officially stupid."

"I thought you now like all parties except pool or beach parties."

"I thought so too but then I went to a party the day after the beach party--"

"Is that where you disappeared to? My flight was delayed for a couple hours so I decided to go visit you at your house but you weren't there."

"What? You should've called me."

"My phone was dead."

"Phones are now stupid too."

"Just continue your story."

"Oh! Okay. Yeah, so, I went to a party and Michi, you remember that snake, right? Turns out it was at her house and she showed everyone really embarrassing pictures of me! Like times where I looked a mess while sleeping in class, me falling during cheer practice, the time I accidentally tore my school shirt with a pencil--"

"How does that even happen?"

"Pencils are stupid too." She huffs. "But since that was the biggest party of the year basically, there was a ton of people there. They saw it all! Even the videos of me mumbling in my sleep, I say some really dumb crap man. Everyone was laughing and looking at me, I hated it. Therefore, in conclusion, both Michi and parties are dumb. I rest my case."

"I thought you said they think it's funny when you're awkward, haven't they been laughing all year?"

"That did not boost my confidence."

"I'm just saying that you've gone through this the entire year, it's just like each of them doing it separately only now they're doing it together. Forget about Michi."

"Even so, parties are stupid and there is absolutely no way you will change my mind about that. The end."

"Okay, alright. Congrats."

"Thank you, thank you. Anyway, I have love letters to read--"

"Love letters? As in... someone sent you one?"

"Dudeski, do you not know me? The ones addressed to me are automatically thrown in the trash. I don't have time to read that type of bologna. If they didn't notice me before I was basically famous for being a weird person, they don't need to notice me now. Besides, there is absolutely no one at that school that I want to date."

"No one at that school? Is there someone somewhere else then?"

"... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Yes." My eyes widen. "Gray, Jungkook, V, Taeyong, Todoroki, Yut--"

"Okay, alright."

"Aw... are you jelly of guys who'll never notice me?"

"Yeah, because you notice them but you don't notice me."

"I notice you... I just choose to ignore you."

"Gasp! How rude."

"Dramatic sigh! It's true." She laughs. "Just joking!"

"So you do notice me?"

"What? ... ...Ha!... ... Ha! Ha hahahahaha! I need to, um, uh, potty. Bye."

I jokingly roll my eyes and flop onto my bed.
