Chapter 106: Beach Party

I blink at Dante like he's insane. "What are we doing here?" He literally burst into my house, raided my kitchen, pushed me into his car, and drove me here, to the beach.

"We're about to host a beach party." Dante shrugs and gets out of the car and grabs everything he stole from my house.

"Did you have to force me to come?" I question.

"I didn't have to, I just felt like it. Now come on, we have a party to set up for." He beams and begins walking onto the sand.

"Why are we throwing a party in the first place?" I help drag the stolen goods toward our spot.

"Two words: Bikini babes." He turns to face me with a smirk.

"I should've guessed." I laugh. "Who's coming?"

"Well, I asked most of the people we know from high school to come. Only Zerenity, Gene, and Lyrvanna said they were coming so far."

"You got Lyrvanna to agree to going to a party?" I raise an eyebrow.

"She's changed, she actually kind of likes going to parties now. I've bumped into her at a couple recently, I just made sure I didn't tell her it was a beach party."

"You do realize that means that she won't wear a bikini, right?"

"... ...I did not think about that. She could always just strip down to her underwear." He shrugs.

"Pfft, like that's gonna happen." I roll my eyes.

"True. I should call her." He pulls his phone out.

I get Gene's his brother but why'd he have to invite Zerenity and Gene. I'm not really in a 'seeing them together' mood. Though, to be honest, I'm never in the mood to see them together.

I pulled out of my thoughts to hear shouting coming from Dante's phone. "YOU IDIOT! I SWEAR I WILL MURDER YOU WHERE YOU STAND! YOU WANT ME TO WEAR A WHAT?!"

My eyes widen. "Is she on speaker?"

"No." He whispers and shakes his head. He turns back to the phone to try to calm her down.

When she gets here, should I be a good friend and makes sure she doesn't murder him? Or should I stand clear of it? If I try to get in the middle of it, will she try to kill me too?

"Hey! We're here!" A familiar voice exclaims. I turn around to see Zerenity, Zane, Vylad and Gene walking up. "We wanted to come early to help you guys set up." She cheers.

"I thought we were going to Hot Topic." Zane sighs.

"I knew about the party but she still broke into my apartment and dragged me here." Gene groans.

"Am I the only one she didn't force to come here?" Vylad wonders.

I contain a snicker. "Probably. We're already done setting up though." I look around at the spot.

"Oh." She sulks. "Oh yeah, by the way, Dove's also coming because she was coming to town to visit and I tricked her by saying I moved and I gave her the address of this beach."

"Why didn't I think of that?" Dante mumbles.

"Because I am a superior being." Zerenity jokes.

"Mhm, sure you are." He shakes his head.

"So, Travis, you should be particularly stoked about this party." Dante assumes.
