Chapter 55: I Hate Guys

"I am not a happy camper." I groan.

"Okay... and why is that?" Laurance questions.

"My doctor said I need to drink more water." I lay my head on the table.

"Didn't she say that before?"

"Yes."

"Let me guess, you didn't listen."

"Of course not, Mr. Senior." I groan before sitting up. "Water is the literal worst!"

"But during the summer, you said—"

"Drinking water is the worst, being in water is the best thing ever!" An image of a pool pops into my mind. "Want to go swimming after school before winter comes?!"

"Yeah... sure." He agrees.

"Fun!" My eyes widen. Did I just invite a guy to go swimming with me? "I'm not wearing a bikini and I'm inviting everyone."

"But Babe~, this was supposed to be our pool date." He jokingly whines.

"Shut up, perv!"

"I'm not a perv... you're the one who has a picture of me shirtless in your phone."

I look around as a bunch of random noises comes out of my mouth. Now anyone who heard him thinks I like him shirtless. "It's only in my phone because you took the picture WITH MY PHONE!"

"But you kept it."

"Fine, oh my Irene, I'll delete it!" I go into my pictures and start pressing a few buttons then I press delete.

"I saw that."

I jump out of my skin due to the fact that Laurance is now looking over my shoulder. "S-Saw what? Me deleting it?"

"You deleted it after you saved the photo to hidden pictures and sent it to yourself."

"Yaa~!" I whine and lay my head on the table.

"Yaa? How much anime did you watch over the summer?" He teases.

"S-Shut up, B-B-Baka... you hurt my soul." I sniffle.

"Because you like seeing me shirtless? You always have another opportunity at the pool later on."

"Wear a scuba suit."

"See you did this to yourself by being tsundere."

"I'm not tsundere."

"Really? Yeah, okay."

"You don't believe me."

"I don't."

"Jerk."

"Tsundere."

I roll my eyes. "Back to the subject at hand, water is evil and it wants to possess your insides."

"That's quite the story." Laurance nods.

"And it's true too! I saw it with my own two eyes! Four if I actually wore my glasses!" I exclaim.

"You really should wear your glasses more. You'll mess up your eyes more without them and you look so adorable with them."

My heart squeezes before it starts thudding. I pull my glasses out of my backpack and my face feels hot. I put them on and turn to Laurance. "What? Do you mean like this?"

"Perfect."

I throw my glasses because I don't feel right, right now. He stares at me in confusion. "I'll, um, I'll go pick that up," I mumble as I go get them. "I shouldn't have done that, I just got these yesterday," I say as I sit down.
