Chapter 77: Insane Shopping Spree
~Dove~

I walk out of my last class only to be grabbed by Zerenity. "What are you doing?!" I exclaim.

"I need you to go shopping with me!" Zerenity whines and drags me with her.

"No!" I shout.

"WHY!? I don't want to go alone! Come on! It's sales left and right! It closes at eight and it's a two-hour drive from here! The store is closing and we need to get the best stuff!" When she wants something, she is really strong. I can't pull away from her.

"Two-hour drive?! Also, when did you pass your driver's test, aren't you fifteen?!" I continue trying to pull my hand out of hers but it literally won't budge. WHEN DID SHE GET SO FREAKING STRONG!?

"Sometime freshman year they started letting fifteen-year-olds get permits, but I still failed mine. You have to drive, we'll go to my house and get my car unless you brought yours to school." We get outside and she drags me with ease.

I try digging my heels into the ground but she just pulls me like I didn't do a thing. I try to move her hand from mine but she doesn't even flinch. Who is she? "Let me go!"

"No! My car or yours?"

"Why do you even have a car if you can't drive?" I give up on trying to break free. It's obvious she's not going to let me go until we get there.

"Because my mom said I can try again next year when I turn sixteen then she bought me a 'better-luck-next-time' gift. I know she's just doing it to make me feel better about Garroth, Zane, and Vylad passing and picking out cars." She sighs.

"All four of you have cars yet you still walk to school?" My eyes widen.

"Yes, I love nature and our dad makes us anyway. You have a car and you walk to school."

"One, it's my mom's old car that doesn't have a radio, air conditioning, or heat. Two, I like getting here early to change into my gym clothes and jog around the track. Walking is just a good warm-up."

"Ew, running." She gags before laughing and skipping to walk in front of me, finally letting go of me. Should I make a run for it? "And to the right, you'll see my car." She says like a tour guide.

"Is a car supposed to be that shiny?" I stare at her car in shock. It was a baby blue convertible that shined so much it hurt my eyes.

"I don't know, it just came that way." She shrugs. "Want to come inside with me? I don't have the keys on me."

"Uh," just as I'm about to say 'sure', I see Zane as he passes through the window, "nah, I'll just check out your car."

"Cool! Be right back!" She skips off into the house and I turn toward the car. Zerenity once told me that her parents are the CEO's of a company and have lots of money but I didn't they had, 'let's blow money on four brand new expensive cars for our children' kind of money. Soon enough, Zerenity comes back with the keys and tosses it to me. "Yay! Come on! We have a two-hour journey ahead of us! If you leave right now, we'll get there around 6:36, unless there's traffic, then we'll probably be there by 6:53." She starts getting in the car. "We'll have about an hour at the mall to shop and possibly by some snacks or dinner unless we pick something up afterward. If we choose to do that, we can spend a bit of extra time shopping. But without a snack it'll lower our stamina and decrease our chances of the best deals, making us walk around for a little while more than shopping. What do you think we should do?"

That was a lot of talking, I kind of got lost. I get in the car and start it up. "Um... maybe we could get something first?"

Her eyes widen. "Of course! Why didn't I think about that!?" She squeals. "Food first it is! Thanks, Dove! That'll definitely keep as boasted!"

I just blink as I pull out of her driveway. "You're welcome, I guess." I'm still lost. Could shopping really be that exhausting?

~*~

More than you know, I am never going shopping with Zerenity again.

I turn toward her as she giggles and squeals while skipping around the parking lot with more than fifty bags in her hands. I had about fifty in mine too, and only about five of these bags are mine.

I swear to you, Zerenity turned into a demon in that place. I've never seen her more serious about ANYTHING, ever. She was like a bowling ball knocking over bowling pins, aka people, just so she can get to the deal she wanted.

Never get in the way of Zerenity and shopping. It's scary.
