Chapter 75: Good Mood~Zerenity~

"I'm just going to ask the question that all of us are wondering." Lyrvanna blurts and looks around at everyone. Gene, Travis, Zane, Dove, Lyrvanna, Laurance, and I all sat in my room in silence. "Why did you basically force all of us to come here?"

"Force?" I shrug like I don't know what she's talking about but Travis gives me a look that says 'you know exactly what you did'. "Okay! Fine! Some of you needed a push to come here but it's for a good cause. For most of us, the past week... maybe two weeks have been completely miserable. I want to change that, that's why I'm holding a sing-off."

That started an uproar of mainly people shouting that they didn't have time for this or they didn't want to do this. "A sing-off?" Gene questions once everyone calms down a bit.

"Yeah, all of us love singing." I beam.

"I don't." Dove, Zane, and Gene scoff.

"You guys secretly love it." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"And even so, even if I love singing, I don't feel like it right now," Lyrvanna adds.

"You? You don't feel like singing?" Laurance jokes gaining a small laugh from me and a couple of others.

Lyrvanna, however, doesn't laugh and rolls her eyes. "Where was this joking attitude before?" He just stares at her confused.

"Hey! Guys~! This'll be fun! Maybe it'll make everyone cheer up, even if only for a moment. I have a karaoke machine in the basement, Ican  set it up and I'll go first." I suggest. Before anyone could protest, I dashed out of the room.

~*After Setting Up For Karaoke*~

"Ooh~! I love this song~!" I smile as I grab the microphone and press play on the song.

"And you expect one of us to follow that song?" Lyrvanna's eyes widen.

"What do you mean?" I shrug. "Someone else has to sing, I'm not doing this all night." I laugh. No one budges. I pout then turn to Travis, he sighs and walks up. "Yay! Thanks, Trav!" I cheer then claim my seat next to Gene.

After scrolling through the song list for a bit, he finds one. "This is a pretty good song."

We all clap and jokingly bows before he goes to sit back down. "SO who's next?!" I excite looking around at everyone. Again, no one budges. I lay my head on Gene's shoulder, "Please, Gene."

"Why me?" He groans.

"Because you secretly want to." I giggle.

"Alright. I'll sing and not because I secretly want to or whatever, but because this will go a lot faster if I just go along with it." He sighs.

"Yay!" I cheer as I take my head off his shoulder and he goes to pick a song.

All of us clap and a few people look at Gene surprised as he sits back down. "Who's next?" Again, no one moves. "Fine, I'm going to start picking people to go up there." I turn and Zane's the first person I see. "Zane... it's your turn."

"I don't want to." He scoffs.

"You have to." I declare. "If you don't I'll... um..."

"--Burn all of your masks," Lyrvanna adds.

"Yeah." I nod though I won't actually do that.

"Okay! Alright." He groans and goes up to the microphone before searching for a while.

We all clap and I look around for the next person. "Any volunteers?" No one budges, yet again. "Laurance," I call out since he's texting.

"What?" He turns to me.

"Your turn. Take the stage, buddy."

"Okay." He shrugs and goes up there, he searches for a song and soon finds one.

I look around for the next person. Dove and I make eye contact before she turns away. "Dovey~Chan!"

"No." She says automatically.

"Yes." I stand up and grab her hand and drag her to the karaoke machine.

"I'm not doing this." She folds her arms.

"I'll you pick what to watch during our next five cupcake dates AND double cupcakes."

"Alright." She sighs. She scrolls through the songs before she smiles and chooses one.

"Tokyo Ghoul~!" Travis, Lyrvanna, and I excite as she finishes and we clap an extra amount.

"What?" Gene, Zane, and Laurance question.

"It's an anime and Dove just sung the theme song but in English," I explain. They nod understandingly. "Lyrvanna." She's the only one left to go.

"What?! After all of that, I can't go! Did you guys even hear yourselves?!" Her eyes widen.

"You'll be fine, this is just for fun." I smile.

"I know but-- ugh! I didn't want to do this." She sighs and stands up. "I guess I'll go, I wonder if there are any anime songs I know on there." Lyrvanna bounces to the mic, suddenly happy after mentioning anime, after scrolling forever, she finally settles on something. "I couldn't find an anime song."

We all clap and she does a playful curtsy. She sits back down and I stand up again.

"See guys! That wasn't so bad! Wasn't that pretty fun?" Everyone slowly nods. "Now that we're in a good mood, I'm going to add to that mood." I take out my phone. "Who wants pizza?"
