I leave in the morning via the window,

Looking back at her sleeping face.

I'd spent the night sitting by the bed,

Up against the wall with my blade.

Dozing off when I wasn't watching,

To make sure she was still safe.

I don't know why this is important,

For me to know that this is true.

As I leave her room via the widow,

I feel heart thumping and stomach flutter.
