Falling in Love

Chapter 16

It's the night of the party we got to LA at about 2am this morning so I did get some sleep. I decided to wear my red tight long sleeve off the shoulder crop top with a black faux leather skirt I got.
"You look hottttt" Ashton says walking into the bathroom as I was doing my makeup.
"Thanks so do you. Isn't that the shirt you wore to the party after the awards in Toronto?" I ask. He's wearing a black and checkered shirt. I remember it from the photo of Halsey buttoning it up.
"How do you know that?" He asked. I show him the photo.
"Oh yaaaaaaa I was shitfaced so I don't remember too much" he says. I laugh knowing how easy it is for him to get drunk.

We meet with the rest of the band as well as Crystal. She was wearing a t-shirt dress.
"Damn girl you look hot!" She says as I sat in my chair. We're at a huge house. I don't know whose it is but I can only assume someone who's loaded. We can hear the music from out here.  It's a little over whelming, I kept it to myself. There is a few steps up to the front door before I could even do anything Ashton and Luke were at my sides with Mike at the back and Calum at the Front lifting my chair, with me in it up the stairs.
"Oh my gosh guys you don't have t- holy" I say
"It's easier on you if we just do that." Ashton says, he leans down and whispers in my ear
"You're going to need all of your energy tonight when I get my hands on you" I can feel the smirk on his face, I can also feel how red my face is. I got shivers down my spine. I'm suddenly really excited for tonight. They ring the doorbell. A man answers. I recognize him. It's G-easy.
"Hey man! How's it going?" They all greet each other as old friends. I sit and wait to be let in as I just want booze to hide my shyness.
"Hi you must be Layla?" He says pointing to me.
"In all my glory I guess." I reply. He shakes my hand and Let's us in.
"HEYYYYY ASHTON!" I hear a women yell. It's Halsey. I'm flabbergasted. I've been here five minutes and can already see so many artists I've looked up to.
"Oh my gosh Layla! I've heard so much about you and I love your music ahhh" She fangirls a little bit and hugs me.
"Wow I'm flattered I love your music and I can't believe I'm at your party!" we laugh.

It's been an hour and we've kinda lost everybody. Ashton has kept by me though. It's hard because I don't know these people and he does.
"Ashton maybe I should just call a taxi and go home so you can hang out." I suggest.
"Uhm what are you crazy? There's no way." He says holding my hand.
"I'd rather sit here and look at your face then go and hang out with these people." He says.
"I'm gonna go grab a drink do you want one?" I ask him. It's still been really hard for me getting used to this lifestyle. I really love Ashton but it's so hard. The people surrounding us everywhere we go. The people driving us and opening doors for us. Getting my chair out of the trunk and various other things. It's not easy. I go to the counter and grab a plastic cup, filling it with some booze.
"Hey it's Lacy right?" A girl asked me.
"Uhm Layla actually" I respond.
"Oh I'm sorry, your Ashtons girlfriend right?" She asks.
"Ya" I say nodding my head.
"Hey I'm Kacy, I'm a song writer." She holds out her hand. I shake it.
"Nice to meet you" I say.
"You to. So are you here with the guys?"
I sallow.
"Yea actually mostly Ashton I'm not sure where the rest went?" I say making a face. She laughs
"Ya it's easy to get lost in houses like these. I once got lost in Steve Aokis house looking for the bathroom. I ended up in a room with a trampoline!" She says.
"Uh wow" I smile I really like her so far, maybe I just made a friend out here. Ashton came over.
"Hey I thought I lost you." He laughs.
"This is Kacy." I introduce them.
"Hey didn't you work with all time low on one of their newer songs?" He asks scrunching up his face.
"Yea I did, I've actually been wanting to work with you guys too." She replies making me feel less excited, was she using me to get to the band? I think that being in a relationship with Ashton has made me more paranoid.
"That'd be cool. I'll talk to our manager he'll hook us up" he says I look up to him and grab my drink off the counter. I take a big sip.
"Hey here put your number in my phone maybe we could hang out sometime when I'm in town." I say handing her my phone. She takes it and puts her number in my phone. Handing it back to me.
"Thanks I think we're gonna go though I'm exhausted." I say looking up at Ashton.
"Ya I think Luke already left with a girl and Calum is sitting on the couch with Casey, I don't know where Michael is." He says looking around.
"I think I saw him go with Luke" Kacy said.
"Ok well I'll grab Cal and see if he wants to go to." Ashton sad pushing me towards the couch. I wave bye to Kacy.
