First Fine

The sun shined brightly upon this day,

which never happens often.

Especially when I meet thee.

It's like when the petal meets water

for the first time.

It's first fine,

then it is slowly engulfed by the water.

It was a meeting that should never exist,

yet, it did

for my selfishness.

I knew it would end cold.

I knew it's the end of a sad story.

I thought it was manageable.

It was always first fine.

It was thee that let the flower bloom

to its fullest.

It was me that let the flower get ruined.

I thought it was going to be fine.

I knew,

yet, I didn't know.

It was a first for me.

I know this a story I won't let go.

I hope that it's the same for thee.

This flower blooming moment

is something I will always recall.

Walking in the same path as thee

was a mistake.

It felt too fine at first.

It was the first time for me.

To have such a good day with someone.

It was a fine day to walk with someone.

It was too dazzling

for me to decline.

I just wanted to fly momentarily.

That moment was a first for me

to make me cry with such sorrow.

The tears wouldn't wash away the coldness.

It wouldn't wash away the sadness.

It was thee that made the day warm.

It was a freezing Winter,

yet, you were the sunshine.

We weren't fated.

I should have denied everything,

but the temptation of being with thee was greater

than the consequences that followed.

It was fine at first at least.
