We landed safe and sound in London. Nandito kami ngayon sa reception area ng isa sa mga hotel dito. Maybe Clark booked the rooms for us, wala naman kasi akong natatandaan na nagpabook ako ng hotel dito sa London. Clark asked for our suite key and the receptionist gave him two key cards heartily.
When he received it, he gave one key card to me.
Bumaling naman sya kay Nick.
"Where will you stay?"
"Kung nasaan si Beth doon rin ako. Since na dito sya, then dito rin ako. Can you give me a room, miss?" Sagot nito at saka bumaling sa receptionist.
Hindi ko alam kung ano ang binabalak nito. Gusto ba nitong subukan o inisin si Clark? Para saan naman. Kung hindi ko lang kaibigan itong si Nick, magdududa na ako.
"I'm sorry sir but this hotel cannot accommodate walk in clients. This hotel is for those who had booked the room in advance."
"Uhmm just a one room, miss. Is there any available? I am really tired and I don't have strength to roam around here and look for another hotel. Please." Saad ni Nick na todo pa cute sa babae. Ginamit pa nito ang charm para makumbinse ang receptionist. At mukhang gumana naman dahil namumula na ang babae at kinikilig pero hindi sapat para masunod ang gusto niya.
"I'm very sorry sir, though I want to oblige you I really can't, the hotel is fully booked." Saad ng babae.
Si Nick naman ay parang nanlata.
"So? Where will you stay then?" Singit na tanong ni Clark.
Tanong na may halong pang-iinsulto ni Clark. Nag-iba naman ang expression ng itsura ni Nick. Hinarap nito si Clark. Nagtitigan silang dalawa. Kami naman na nasa paligid nila ay nakatanga lang sa kanila. Kahit ang receptionist ay nakatanga lang din.
Bago sumagot si Nick ay nag-smirk ito ng nakakaloko. "Like what I've said, I will stay here, with Beth." Saad nito na may diin sa bawat salita.
Mukhang hindi magpapatalo si Clark dahil nag-smirk rin ito ng nakakainis. "Haven't you heard the receptionist? You can't stay here because there is NO room here for YOU. If I were you, you better look for another hotel right now before it gets dark and leave you homeless this night."
