Chapter 21: Phantom Lord

Natsu laughed, "Was that an awesome job or what?"

"Well the clients sure seems to think so," Happy responded.

"Face it. You guys should be lucky that I came along," Gray spoke.

"We're lucky that you begged to come with us? How do you figure?"

"Because you were about as useful as Erza's suitcases."

They butted heads and insulted each other before the redhead split them apart and ordered the ice wizard to put some clothes on. He freaked out as the dragon slayer fixed his neck.

"Hey. Sorry to interrupt your conversation but..." Lucy started.

"What's up?"

She held a request, "When I took this job, I originally thought it was a solo mission. So why'd ya'll have to come?"

"You think I wanted to, blondie?" (M/N) scoffed.

"Aw come on. Isn't it obvious?"

"No. I don't think so."

"If it was obvious, I would've known already."

He pointed at himself, "We're Fairy Tail's strongest team. We gotta stick together."

Happy popped out from behind the ice wizard's back, "Aye sir!"

"And don't you forget it."

Erza hummed in agreement.

"So why am I here again?"

"(M/N)! Don't be mean!"

The blonde stared at them before hugging Plue tighter, "Yeah we are!"

"No job is too tough. Not for me, Happy, Erza, (M/N), and even ol' droopy drawers(?) here."

"Don't call me that."

"We are quite a capable bunch," Erza added.

"True that!"

"YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME!"

"Oh lighten up! I'm just messing with you, Luffy."

"Well I don't appreciate it and that's not my name."

"It could be though. It suits you a lot more," the lucky wizard insulted.

"Shut up (M/N)!"

"What was that, blondie?"

"N-Nothing!"

"Please. Forgive me. I truly didn't mean to upset you. I let myself get carried away. It will not happen again. If you would like, you may strike me now."

"That's okay. I really don't think that's in my best interest," she had blue lines on her head.

"Smart move," the two men said.

Everyone whispered to each other as the wizards passed by. The (S/C) man did not appreciate being the center of attention.

"Why is everyone staring at us?"

"It's not the good kind of staring."

"Well I don't like it either way."

Everyone stopped and saw their building from a distance. It didn't look like it's usual guild hall. They ran towards it. There was destruction written all over it.

"No way."

"What's happened to it?"

"No. I don't understand."
