Chapter 15: Eternal Magic

"The truth is, Ur's still alive."

"What do you mean?" Erza inquired.

"It's been ten years."

Flash back

In a city filled with destruction, smoke everywhere, the demon roared.

"Deliora attacked my hometown."

A bell tower fell over. The demon headed in another direction.

"I'd never seen so much destruction. The whole place was wiped out in less than a day."

The smoke cleared and debris was everywhere. A woman and a young boy around the ruin.

"I've heard of Deliora's destructive power. But I never expected this."

A boy under the debris moaned.

"Lyon! Come over here! We've got a survivor!"

Lyon turned and gasped, "Hey! Are you alright?"

The first thing Gray saw when he opened his eyes were Ur and Lyon.

"Ur and Lyon found me. They pulled me from the rubble."

*Time skip*

In a now barren land filled with many graves, Gray placed a flower on one of them.

"Deliora. You're gonna pay for this. I'll stop you. I swear it."

"That vow was how it all began."

*Time skip*

Everything was covered in snow. Gray breathed heavily, his breaths visible.

"Are you gonna be able to keep up, Gray?" Ur asked.

She turned, "I warned you. Training with me can be tough."

"Yeah. I'll do whatever it takes. I have to become stronger than Deliora. Cause someday, I'm gonna beat him!"

"Yeah right," Lyon muttered.

"Okay. Let's get started."

"Fine. Ready when you are."

A jacket flew by him. He was shocked.

"Whoa! What are you doing?!"

The woman was in her underwear.

"The first step is to strip."

"Are you kidding me?! You're crazy if you're thinking I'm stripping in the snow! Back me up, Lyon!"

The other boy was in his underwear too.

"Now you're naked too?!"

Lyon winked, "Just hurry up and do it, kid. Come on. You wanna learn magic, right?"

"I can't believe you're making me do this! It better not be some kind of joke!"

Ur winked as Gray took off his clothes.

"Attaboy, Gray. If you really wanna control the cold, then you'll have to become one with it. You'll get used to it soon."

"I'm already used to it," the white haired boy shivered.

"You're shivering just as much as I am."

"Alright. Let's go boys."

They ran through the snow in their underwear.
