LXVI. In The Name of Unity (Part 2)

"You may be a god," Kakashi smirked as he experienced even more pain. "But you're just as easy to trick." His Mark of Unity glowed brighter and a circle appeared appeared under Xerus' feet.

"What is this?!" Xerus cried as he was trapped inside a shining prison.

Kakashi regained control of his body and place his hand on the prison. "If I'm going to die, I'm taking you with me!"

"I think not." A black spear was injected into Kakashi's chest. Xerus appeared behind him and laughed. "I can't be fooled."

Kakashi turned in disbelief and laughed. "And you're wrong again." He fell to his knees and blood began to pour out of his mouth. He knew he wasn't to live for much longer. "This mark is only a decoy. The real one is long gone."

"What?! Where is it?!"

"Far from your reach."

"Ah!! No one makes a fool of me!!" Xerus lifted Kakashi in the sky and balled his fist. Yuko's father was reduced to dust. Xerus turned his attention to Yuko, who was frozen from seeing his parents dead. He fell to his knees.

"What does it feel like Heart of Unity? To know that your parents were killed by my hands."

Yuko couldn't form any words. He wasn't sure how to feel. He saw his parents for the first time and they were murdered right before his eyes.

"I suppose we should take a look at your grandfather next?"

Yuko's surroundings changed again. He was in his old home back in New Domino City. His grandpa, Leota, sat in his chair while staring at a faint glow on his hand. It was the Mark of Unity.

"Grandpa!" Yuko cried, but his voice didn't seem to reach Leota.

Xerus laughed and Leota shot up. The room was filled with black smoke. "I've finally found you."

Leota smirked and the Mark of Unity glowed brighter. "Xerus, it's been awhile. What took you so long to find me?"

Xerus changed to his normal form. "It isn't easy tracking the Mark's energy, but alas, I finally found you and I must say. That trick you pulled during the war with your son was clever."

"It was his idea to use the diversion. I only copied the what he suggested." Leota smirked and summoned a glowing circle under Xerus' feet. "I'm going to send you back to hell!!"

"I won't fall for this again." Xerus quickly summoned a spear and stabbed it into Leota's chest. Yuko cried. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Xerus removed the spear and Leota turned to dust.

Yuko felt as if his world was falling apart. Xerus had shown him too much. He couldn't handle the he was seeing.

Xerus slowly walked over to Yuko. "I will not be fooled again." He vanished leaving Yuko alone in his old home.

The front door opened and Yuko saw himself running into the house. The younger him froze as he saw Leota on the ground dead. "Grandpa?!" Yuko had relived his worst nightmare.

Yuko's surrounding returned to normal and he was still on his knees. Kenji stood worried. "Yuko, you alright?"

"I....I..." Yuko didn't want to look up at Xerus, but he forced he managed to find the will to. Anger filled his body. "I'm going to kill you!!"

"You can try like Kakashi and Leota did, but you'll only end up sharing their fate."-Xerus

"I'll avenge them!"
