Chapter 9: Dark Wizard Village

"Come on, you stupid fish. Just shut up and let me eat you."

"We've gotta fish harder guys!" Happy yelled with determination.

"I don't know. Do these things really taste that good?"

"Be quiet and fish. Anything edible will do."

"I didn't know you were THAT hungry."

Happy yelled about getting the fish in his stomach then quickly gave up after.

"That's quick!"

"Well I couldn't catch a single fish."

"You really wanna eat one, don't ya? You can do it, little guy."

He looked up and ran away, "I can't help that I'm little!"

"What?! I thought I was cheering you up!" Lucy yelled.

*Small time skip*

"That was harder than you think."

"All that trouble for just one fish," Erza complained.

Natsu roasted the fish, "Go ahead and eat it, Happy."

"But that wouldn't be fair to you guys, would it?"

"It's way too small to split up. If we had one bite, we'd just want more," Gray explained grumpily.

"Hurry up and eat it before we change our minds!" Makarov told him.

"Okay! Don't mind if I do!" Happy gladly bit into the fish and chewed, savoring every bite.

Everyone's stomachs growled and watched miserably as the cat enjoyed the fish.

"Who knew that one fish could bring so much joy. I never knew I'd be jealous of a cat."

"Trust me. You're going to be glad you didn't eat that fish," (M/N) said with his arms crossed.

"Gross!"

"Are you kidding me?!"

"Told you."

"I hate to say it but..." the dragon slayer started.

"All that fishing..." the dark blue haired man added.

"Made me hungrier," the guild master finished.

"Ow!" they rubbed their heads.

"Shut it, you three."

They walked into a village and cheered.

"A village!"

"Houses!"

"Then that means there must be..."

"FOOOOD!"

Everyone ran into the village, making the ground tremble. They stopped and looked around.

"There's no one here," Gray spoke.

"It seems awfully quiet, doesn't it?" Lucy pointed out.

"Maybe they're taking an afternoon nap or something," Natsu suggested, "Hey! Anybody here?!"

"We're starving like crazy over here! Somebody cook us some dinner!" Happy yelled.

Their voices echoed throughout the village.

"Wow Happy. Ever heard the word 'please'?"

"You really think the whole town's taken a nap?"

"Well, it's either that or they got drunk and passed out," Makarov suggested.
