I woke up to one of my bandages ripping my skin. A little bit of light was seeping from the window so I could see a little bit. I turned over and went to out my arm around Daniel. But all that I felt was covers. He was gone. I jerked up. I crawled over and checked the seats. I couldn't see anything so I turned on my phone flashlight. Everyone was gone. Except for Corbyn. It was 7:45 AM. "Hey. Corbs" I whisper shouted. "Corbyn. Corrrrbyyyn. Wake up." Nothing. I then got up and tapped him. "Corbyn!" I finally spoke up. He jerked up looking around. He then looked up at me. "Jesus" he put his hand on his chest. "No it's me Lauren" I said laughing. He rolled his eyes and got up. He stretched and looked at the clock. "So..." I said crossing my arms. "So..." he mocked me. He gave a smirk. "So... where is everyone" I asked looking around at the empty seats. "Am I not enough company?" He said shrugging. I smacked his arm. "Oww. Ok. ok. They told me to tell you that it is secret squirrel stuff". "What the heck" I said laughing. "I can't with you guys" I said walking slowly to my bed. I picked up my phone and opened messages.
lil herron: hey L. Just so you know, we are out getting food ok. That's all. Don't get Corbyn to tell you anything. What? Um I mean nothing else is going on..
I laugh and shake my head. I get up and open the window. It's 67 degrees outside. "Omg it feels so nice" i said taking in the coldness. "I know right" he agreed. "It's almost Christmas" I said jumping up and down. "2 weeks!" Corbyn said dancing around. I then screamed. The door slammed open. Gets me every time. It was the nurse with my daily ibuprofen and water. "Thank youuu" I said taking the pills. "You're welcome" she said giggling before closing the door and leaving. "I'm starving ughhh" I said rubbing my stomach. "What time am I allowed to leave this joint?" I looked over to the clock. "Errr um 8:30 ish I believe" Corbyn said looking at the clipboard on the back of the wooden door. I took a deep breath and layed back. "I'm not gonna miss this place". "Me neither. Hospitals never mean good" he said frowning. His phone started to ring. "I gotta take this" he said laughing before he left the room. I then heard laughing and shushing in the hallway. I then got up and crawled to foot of my bed. Trying to listen in. The doorknob started to turn. I hopped back up to my pillow and got under the blankets. Jack walked in with a huge smile on his face. Thank god he's happy. He had a Starbucks cup in his hand. He walked over to me and handed it to me. I gasped and got up. Placing it on the desk. I hugged him. "Thank you so much Jackie. You are so amazing." He hugged me tighter and looked into my eyes. "It makes me so happy to see you smiling again" he said to me. I smiled big and looked over to the door as someone else peered in. It was Jonah and Corbyn. I put my hands on my hips and shook my head at Corbyn. They had McDonald's bags in their hands. Then Zach came in. He had a change of clothes for me. I went over and hugged them. "Again. I'm speechless. Just watch out. Imma surprise you guys someday. But i don't know if I can top this" I said looking at everything. Jonah then walked over to the desk and placed down my food. "Have you guys eaten yet?" I asked concerned. "Oh don't worry about us" Jack said holding his hand up. I gave him a look. "We can share guys" I said smiling. I then sat at the desk and set up my food. I started eating and then turned around to the boys. "Hold up. Where's Daniel?" My eyebrow raised. "Ooh nowhere" Corbyn said rubbing his neck. I then laughed and went back to eating. I finished pretty quick. I hadn't had a real meal in days. "Oh my Lordy that was so good. Thank you" i said as I cleaned up my mess. I went to the bathroom and washed my hands. I overheard the boys talking to a lady. I hurried out and saw the same nurse that bandaged me. My heart stopped. "She's here to take your bandages off" Zach said gritting his teeth. The nurse shooed them out of the room and directed me to lay down on the bed. "You might feel a little pinch" she said hesitant. *RIP* I screamed in pain as my skin ripped off with the bandage. She looked surprised and pleased. Then ripped another off. "Holy crap" I screamed as tears ran down my face. "Just a few more..." Another. Then another. "Ok done." I take a deep breath and lay back down. "Oops I lied" *RIP* She ripped the last one hard. I screamed even louder and grabbed my thigh. "I'm going to have to have you calm down" she said pushing my chest down. I layed back and took deep breaths. She then got a cream from her pocket and rubbed it all over my legs and arms. She then put some on my bruised arm from me yanking out the IV earlier. "Ok so it appears that your injuries have healed almost completely" she said examining me. I jerked up and looked at my legs. It looks as if nothing happened to them. "How is this possible?" I asked her feeling my legs. "I don't know darling. It looks like having those boys around sped up the healing process. You weren't stressed, scared, or any of that. You were happy and focused on your boyfriend and best friends. Which helped because you didn't itch or damage your injuries even more. It looks like you just have a couple of bruises on the back of your legs and a couple on your arms. But no scars." She said writing everything on the clipboard. "Woah" My jaw dropped. My mind was blown. She then told me goodbye and gave me permission to leave. She then told me to change out of my hospital dress. I nodded as she left the room. I ran into the the bathroom and changed really quick. I got a better look at everything in the mirror. I was in shock. I then put my hair up and put the hospital dress on the bed. I grabbed my phone and walked out. The boys were all biting their nails and pacing. They then saw me and freaked. "Are you okay??!!" Jack said running up to me. "We heard you screaming!!" Jonah said inspecting me. "I'm ok guys!! Look!" I showed them my scarless legs and arms. Their jaws dropped. Zach shook his head and hugged me. "I'm so glad you're okay". I smiled and hugged him tighter. "You guys kept me safe". I then went back into the room. "Oh we'll get that." Corbyn said running into the room. They then picked up my presents and carried them out. "You guys sure you don't need help" I said trying to pick up some stuff. "Don't worry love. You need a break" Jack said smiling. "Let me at least get this." I said laughing as I grabbed the huge teddy bear. "Let's get out of this creepy place" I said heading towards the exit. As soon as my skin hit the cold air, i smiled and danced around. A car then pulled up in front of us. It was extremely familiar. The boys then went to the trunk and carefully placed everything inside of. Zach took the teddy bear from my hands and put it in as well. I just stood there clueless. The windows were blacked out so I couldn't see inside. They then hopped in the backseat. I then slowly opened the passengers seat and almost let out a scream. I got my phone or and take a bunch of pictures. I started to cry. I then jumped inside the car with my jaw still to my feet. It was Daniel with more gifts. I hugged him hard and wiped my face off. "Aha sorry I just can't with you guys. I don't deserve anything that you guys do for me." I cried harder. Daniel started to tear up. "What do you mean? You deserve the world and so much more" I covered my mouth and looked back. Jack was crying. I held my hand out to him. He held it. I rubbed his hand with my fingers. We then let go as Daniel revved up the car. I looked over and kissed him hard. Ugh how I missed this. He then pulled out of the parking lot. I held out my hand. He looked over to me and smiled. Putting out his hand for me to hold. I held it tight and put my head on his shoulder. "I love you" he said quietly. "I love you more" I said lifting my head up and looking into his eyes.
