I hear them everyday;
The horrible pleas! Are they here to stay?
You hear them too, whether from a TV or in person,
About the lands across the globe or your local prison,
You see the look in a widow’s eyes,
The sound of a orphan’s cry,
No matter what it is,
You know it’s not a lie.
We hear the stories every day,
But we look the other way.
We sit on our couches,
Stuff our own mouths and
Pretend everything’s okay.
What if the thing needed to change all this insanity,
Is the only thing you can do for anyone of humanity.
We all know you have a gift, whether the big or small,
The truth is a gift can not be of a more or less size at all!
C’mon let’s get out there! Show the world what we got!
Let’s use our God given talents; show other’s we havn’t forgot!
Let’s lead the world to prosperity, let us not be idle,
Whether helping the poor, or showing others who’s more powerful than idols.
Let us do it all not later!
Let’s do something that matters!
