It's been a week since Kevin's talk with Edd, and Edd finally (for the first time since the party) felt good about their relationship. Of course, Edd would rationalize, he always felt good--no, great about being Kevin's boyfriend of four months, but now, it's as if it's not as it was before. It feels new; clean. Edd finally has no doubt in his mind that Kevin likes him and is "here to stay" (as Kevin so brilliantly stated in an attempt to appease Edd's mind), and Kevin is now content believing that Edd isn't afraid to talk to him whenever something is wrong. They both finally acquired a bilateral understanding of each other.

On another note: not only have the two straightened out their relationship; but Edd also has not been encountered by his tormentors in almost two weeks! To be honest, Edd was worried about the lack of insolent peers that seemed to surround him after every class period. He was scared that Kevin said something he shouldn't have. Eventually, though, Edd calmed down and just let it be. After all, it's not a bad thing that people are leaving him alone now. If anything, it's what he's always wanted.

So, why does it still feel so odd?
