You smile down at your phone as your boyfriends name pops up at the top of the screen. You were playing this game, bubble mania, it was made for 5 year olds, and it has literally destroyed your entire life, you have spent hours on this piece of shit, and you are on level 37. Level mother fucking 37. Anyway, you were playing that, until you saw your boyfriends name pop up at the top of your screen. You tap the notification, and you are sent to his text.
Kellin: I miss you baby, when is your class overrr? 😁❤️
Your smile widens. You were warmed by the fact that your boyfriend missed you, even with the time difference that meant it should be like 3am where he is, bless him. You had never met him in person, but you and him had skyped millions of times, and everything was official, you were dating, and you were undoubtedly in love with him.
You: About 5 minutes babe, I'll text you after, but I shouldnt, because you should be sleeping! 😜❤️
Kellin: You know I struggle sleeping without you baby...😔❤️
You: Kels, baby, you have never slept with me in the same room as you, now is no different. 😘❤️
Kellin: I knowww but I like to imagine you here with me and I cant do that if I know you are in class! 😝❤️
You: You cute and smooth mother fucker. ❤️

You shake your head and laugh slightly. "Something funny, (Y/N)?"
Your head snaps up from your phone, you shove it into your bag and clear your throat as you face your tutor "N-No sir, uh, sorry..."
He nods as you, before continuing with his speech about pi, something else you will never need to remember learning. Awesome. You flop back in your seat and sigh, pretending to pay attention to him, but really you are staring at the clock behind his head. You start tapping your pen in time with the clock ticking, and with every minute that passes, the small smile playing on your lips widens ever so slightly. Your start packing your things away, only 1 minute to go! Once you are all packed up, you tap your pen against the desk again. You smile widely and jump up, running out of the classroom door right before the bell goes. You practically fly to your locker, grab your shit, and run out of the school building. As you reach the road outside your school, you pull your phone out and lean against the wall, you quickly text your boyfriend.
You: Are you still awake babe? 😋❤️
Kellin: Of course! 😚❤️
You: Awesome! I mean, no, not awesome, you should be sleeping! 😂❤️
Kellin: Haha, whatever, just call me already, I want to hear your voice before I go to sleep baby! 😍👌🏻❤️
You giggle and blush at his cuteness, before dialing his number. He picks up before the end of the first ring. "Babygirl! I have waited all day for this call, you have no idea!"
You laugh "Hey Kels! Its your fault for living in an area with shitty phone signal!"
Kellin sighs "Yeah, about that..."
You raise an eyebrow "About what?" You ask down your phone.
"My phone signal has actually been perfect all day, baby..." Kellin confesses.
Your heart sinks "S-So...you CHOSE not to text me all day?"
"No baby! Of course not!" Kellin tries to reel you back in desperately.
You shake your head as tears begin to prick your eyes "N-No, i-its fine, I-I understand...sorry for being such a burden..." You apologize. You are so apologetic, and so insecure, especially when it comes to relationships.
"(Y/N) baby, please, dont hang up! Let me explain!" He pleads.
You sniffle "How can you explain this without hurting me further!?!"
"Is it possible for 2 little words to hurt you?" Kellin asks you through the phone.
You consider it "I dont have time to figure that out, just say the 2 words and I'll let you know."
Kellin takes a deep breath "Turn around."
"Wh-What!?!" You question, running a hand through your hair.
"Turn around." He repeats.
You start shaking feverishly as you push yourself away from the wall, you turn and face the left, where the school gates are. "Now what?"
Kellin laughs slightly "Oh, baby..."
His voice is echoing slightly. "Why is your voice echoing?"
"Because I was planning for you to turn the other way, so that you would see, but you turned that way, and now my voice is coming from the wrong direction!" Kellin explains, his voice echoing, but as you focus more on the sound of his voice, you realize it is not echoing on his phone...but from behind you.
Your eyes widen "Wh-What are you talking about!?!" You pray you arent hearing things and going insane.
Kellin laughs slightly, before hanging up. You shakily tuck your phone back into your bag and take a deep breath, but that deep breath is cut short by a gasp as arms wrap around your waist from behind, and a kiss is planted on your cheek. Strangely, you are not even slightly scared or anxious, as you would normally be.
"I meant to surprise you, but you turned the wrong way, so I had to hug you from behind rather than from the front! I guess this works too though, its still romantic as fuck." Kellin whispers in your ear, sending shivers up your spine. Never before has he been so close to you, in touching distance.
You turn in his arms and your eyes fill with tears at the sight of the angel in front of you, who has his arms wrapped around your waist. The feelings you are experiencing cannot even be expressed through words. "Y-You're here!?!" You whisper hoarsely.
Kellin nods and smiles widely down at you, he tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear "Baby, I to,d you my signal sucked today, because I was on a plane without wifi, and I didnt want you to think it weird that I wasnt responding! I have been planning to surprise you for months now!"
"S-So...you didnt deliberately not text me?" You question quietly.
Kellin shakes his head and pulls you into his chest "No, of course I didnt baby! If the plane had wifi, I would've been texting you constantly, it killed me to cease communications with you for so long baby, I swear I cried on the plane and an air hostess asked if I was ok! I hated it baby, I couldnt stop worrying about you and how you were doing, and if you missed me, Im so sorry bab-"
You dont let him finish, you pull away just enough to see his face, and smash his mouth to yours, silencing him, and eliminating every inch of the distance that had previously kept the two of you apart for so long.
