"Scott, Scott, Scott, Scott, Scott, Scott, Scott." Mitch ran over to Scott, jittery.
"What? Calm down, Mitch."
"The list is up."
"What list?"
"The All State Chorus list. It's up. Come with me, I can't look."
"It is?"
"Mhm."
They ran out of the chorus room to the chorus billboard located conveniently close outside the classroom.
Scott's eyes looked down the list, only four names on it.
Mitch Grassi
Scott Hoying
Avi Kaplan
Kirstin Maldonado
"We made it! Both of us!" Scott wrapped his arms around Mitch, congratulating him.
"Only four people made it? Wow."
"I know."
"This is my first time making it," Mitch said.
"I know, that's only because you gave up after freshman year. We're seniors now."
"Ehhhhhhhhh."
"This would've been your third year going, I guarantee it."
"Ehhhhhhhhhhhh."
"I can't deal with you." Scott turned around, walking away.
"You're going to have to deal with me at some point! We sit next to each other!" Mitch said, following him into the choir room.

"I guess. I did get sick for a while there. I missed three weeks of school."

"If you don't make it in and I do, I won't go."
"I can't ask you to do that, Scott."
"You're not asking me. I'll do it myself."
