Hunter's POV

"Good morning," Jill yawned, her voice like an old record, hair all scruffy and cheeks reddened.

I lightly laughed, ruffling her hair, "Morning sleepy head."

Looking at Jill was like looking at a painting; it made me feel something. When I looked at Jill, nothing else really mattered, it was as if everything in the world of meaning was within the sunniest soul I'd ever stumbled upon.
Everyone adored Jill, but I think I might have loved her the most. Somehow my heart which had always seemed so undecided and erratic had made a decision of its own for the first time ever; Jill.

My world was quiet when Jill was with me, a silent song of peace and a feeling of calm. Around everyone else I was still that loud, ballsy, reckless girl, falling short of human, but with Jill, I was human. Jill made me human. With all the rest I didn't care so, I'd act however I pleased with very little thought process to back anything up. Around Jill, I cared so I'd worry and it might sound negative to be so unsure, but it brought me back down to Earth while also somehow flying me up in the clouds.

A smile played on Jill's lips, she paused for a second and then shook herself out of the trance, "What's the time?"

I looked to the clock by my bed, "it's ten."

Jill's thought for a second or two, "We better get up, then we can eat breakfast with everyone."

I nodded, hauling myself hastily out of bed and throwing on my training kit; the WSL season may have been over but we weren't on our break just yet, there was still just over a week of training left.

We ran down stairs, finding Mapi and Alexia already up in the kitchen.

I tilted my head at them, a smirk lining my lips, "You two are up early."

Mapi chuckled, putting down her crosswords and shaking her head, "You see amor, Barca training starts at eight, we're used to the early start."

Jill's eyes widened, "I could not be getting up that early everyday!"

"You get used to it," Alexia shrugged, "though it's probably why we're the best team in the world and you are average," She teased slightly, though sounding rather sure in her statement.

My jaw dropped, "Average?" I asked, outraged, "You need to check your facts Putellas."

Alexia chuckled, "Tómatelo con calma (take it easy/calm down)."

I just rolled my eyes at my older sister, stealing a bite of Mapi's toast, "You're just jealous that you can't convince me to join Barca."

"All in good time," Alexia said calmly with an air of mystery, "All in good time mi hermana (my sister). Here eat some breakfast," she spooned the eggs onto my plate and then handed Jill the pan and spoon, letting her serve herself.

I chuckled at Alexia's motherly ways, she'd never let me grow up and certainly never accept me growing up. Our dynamic was sweet, sometime I felt small, but I knew I was always protected with Alexia around.

"Is that my crossword book?" I asked Mapi who seemed completely in her own world, concentration pinned across her features, "Mapi?" I waved a hand in front of her face, finally receiving the honor of her attention.

"Oh please," my best friend scoffed, "You don't do crosswords."

I furrowed my eyebrows, challenging her, "Maybe I do, you wouldn't know."

Mapi, clearly unimpressed, looked towards Jill, "Have you ever seen Hunter do a crossword?"

Jill chuckled, holding her hands up in defense, "I'm not getting involved, I don't live here so I wouldn't have a clue."
