IT'S CHRISTMAS. ELARA LOVES Christmas. Who doesn't? This year, was unlike any other. Not to mention today was also Klaus' birthday.

The day had just started and the Mikaelson family was torn, all in search of different things.

Elara came down the stairs with Hope on her hip. She stopped in the dining room to grab a beignet before she moved on to find Klaus. Hope smiled and pointed at the Christmas tree that came into view.

"Dada," Hope clapped and smiled. He looked up and smiled at the little girl. "Oh, good morning, my littlest wolf," he held out for her. Elara leaned over, letting Hope go to him. She stood straight and pulled off a piece of the pastry.

"Morning, Cami. You look better." Again Elara and Camille had something to bond over. Their hate for Aurora. One thing Elara admired about Cami is her ability to back off. Cami understood why she couldn't be with Klaus and instead became an ally to the family including Elara.

Aurora was simply after trouble. And she is no good for Klaus.

"Yeah, I am," she smiled at the girl and a buzz came from her pocket. Elara turned her head to meet Klaus' gaze. She bit her lip and turned back to Cami. "It's Vincent. I have to go," she stood up.

Elara sighed and smiled at her husband. "Please, don't," he mumbled already knowing his wife. She shrugged and inched towards his seat. "Elara," he groaned and shut his mouth as she leaned over to kiss him.

Elara smiled as she pulled away, holding his chin. He couldn't even contain his smile as he looked up at her. "Happy birthday, Mr. Mikaelson."

Klaus didn't think he'd be getting that this year. Not after the things he's done recently so to hear it was music to his ears.

"So you do still love me?" He teased. She rolled her eyes and moved back to sit in the seat Cami was once in. "Thank you, Mrs. Mikaelson," he nudged back. "So, I don't see any gifts shaped like my wife under that tree," Klaus adjusted Hope on his lap. Elara rolled her eyes and crossed her legs over each other.

"Oh, your gift is much bigger," she smiled. "Have you heard from Elijah?" That translated to, is Rebekah back yet? She really did miss the blonde original. It's been hard dealing with the boys on her own. She had Freya, but she had more in common with the younger sister, and sometimes she felt like Freya really didn't like her.

"Not yet. He will return soon. Don't worry."

"I wasn't," she put another piece of the beignet into her mouth and leaned over to give Hope some. She leaned back again and looked at the arm of the chair. "Hey, where did Cami say she was going again?"
