THE ENTIRE CAR RIDE ELARA stared at the promise ring on her finger. The ring that the man sitting next to her gave.

"I love you. And I'll love you in 5, 10, 100 years, whenever you're ready. Right now I want to know if you'll marry me? Someday, maybe?"  He said.

"Oh...okay."

That was probably the most stressful night of Klaus's life. Elara was freaking out and he was scared she'd said no to him.

It was chaotic but that's the relationship between Klaus and Elara...chaotic.

"You're quiet," Klaus turned down the radio. Elara looked up with a hum, "you're quiet. What are you thinking about?"

She smiled and held up her hand, "the day you gave me this." He looked over grabbing her hand and inspected the blush-diamond ring.

"Don't remind me," he rolled his eyes playfully. She laughed, "you ready to take me up on my offer yet, love?"

Elara swallowed staying frozen. She should tell him now. They're on the topic, just blurt it out.

"Nik-,"

"We're here," he told her as they drove drown the long dirt road. A small house came to view where Elijah, Rebekah, and Hope were.

Klaus put the car in park and Elara ran out. She got close to them, Hope was in Elijah's arms.

Elara swallowed looking at her baby. Did she want to risk holding her? What if things went wrong or she lost it?

Elijah smiled walking closer to her and handed her Hope. "Hold her," he whispered to her. Elara laughed as she grabbed her baby, "hi." She hugged her baby close.

Elijah nodded and Elara found herself holding her baby with no problem with her urges.

Elara felt the tears well up in her eyes. She was finally holding her baby after months of longing for it. It felt just as it did the day she was born. Home. She smiled at Rebekah who had been taking care of her daughter all these months and turned to meet Klaus waiting patiently.

She walked over to him turning so he could see her. He smiled softly as Elara handed her to him. Elara held her daughter's hand as Klaus held her close.

"I told you," she whispered to him. He smiled wrapping an arm around her shoulder and kissing her head.

For once, Klaus had a family.

Hope started to cry and Klaus froze, "Uh-oh," he mumbled. Elara laughed.

"She usually has her nap around this time," Rebekah told them. "You wanna take over?" She looked at Elara.
