6 WEEKS IS A VERY LONG TIME. So much can happen. An evil doppelgänger can take over her good doppelgänger. A once evil vampire who turned good can turn evil again over heartbreak. A girl who forgot ever loving the love of her life can find herself falling for him again.

Everything can change.

Nothing is like it once was.

Elara sat in the Salvatore living room doing a metal headcount for all of her goodbyes, and crossing off the ones she already did.

The only people left were her favorite vampire brothers.

How come the people she needed were nowhere to be found?

The door opened and the oldest Salvatore walked in on the phone.

"Thank god. It's boring without you guys..." Damon bought his finger to his lips shushing her.

He came in laying down on her. She furrowed her eyebrows and pushed him off. She has no room to carry any more children.

"How'd you hear that?" He asked, laying on the couch across from her. "Are you with them right now?"

Elara tilted her head. What else could be happening right now?

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Enzo." Oh, that guy. She's heard about him. Because she's pregnant Elara isn't allowed anywhere near the drama. They tell her all of it but when things are going on she's not allowed to be there.

Damon even changed the locks.

They weren't taking any chances. Especially when it was an Original miracle baby. It's a one-time thing.

Elara smiled at how he spoke to him almost as if he was a child.

"Sixties? Stefan wasn't even-," Damon pulled the phone from his ear. He looked at Elara and she smiled.

"Wanna play goldfish?" She asked innocently knowing he was about to do something.

"Sorry, kiddo, I gotta go. But when I get back, I promise." He went over to her kissing her cheek.

She sighed and stood up using his arm. Elara was bigger than before. It's getting harder for her to even walk.

"That's the thing, D. I gotta get back to Bourbon Street."

He looked at her shocked. "Already?" She nodded. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm 8 months pregnant and I can't exactly travel in labor."

"What time are you leaving?"

"6." Damon looked at his phone to see it was 12:17. "Okay, don't leave. If I come back and you're gone I'm taking away all of your ice creams." He pointed at her as he made his way out of the house.
