ARGUING WAS PROBABLY THE constant in the relationship between Elara and Klaus. While they are probably the relationship that everyone looks up to, they have a strong dislike between them.

They can't get along to save their lives.

Usually, they're arguing over the dumbest of things. It's rarely anything serious. But when it is, it's very serious.

Elara stood in the bathroom doing her hair after she had woken up. Klaus hadn't been home since yesterday morning and he's been dodging all of her calls.

No one seems to be answering their phones. Elijah, Hayley, Klaus. All of them gone.

The bedroom door opened. Elara didn't look to see who it was as it could only be one out of three people.

The hybrid stood in the doorway of the bathroom watching her. She looked at him in the mirror.

Elara ignored him as she finished her hair.

Klaus crossed his arms looking at the ground. "You're angry," he said. Elara continued to ignore him. "Okay. I deserve that."

Elara bit the inside of her cheek slamming the hairbrush down. She turned to look at him. "Of course I'm angry. You disappear and don't call for 24 hours and expect me not to be? Where were you?"

Klaus didn't know what to say. He knows he should've told her, but he didn't know how to say he went to kill his dad and spent the day with another woman.

"Right. No answer. Don't worry I've gotten used to it," she walked past him bumping shoulders on purpose.

"Love, I was looking for the stake." He turned around. Elara went to make the bed. "I should've called, I know. I'm sorry." She still ignored him. "I'm sorry." He apologized again.

He knew he wasn't apologizing for not calling. He was apologizing for the guilt he felt. He did nothing he wasn't supposed to, but still, he felt guilty.

He felt guilt he didn't tell her.

Elara turned to look at him. She saw the pained look on his face.

"For what?"

He swallowed not saying anything.

She nodded, "um, I'm gonna go find breakfast." She walked out of the bedroom slamming the door.

He huffed looking at his untouched side of the bed.

Elara found her sister. "Where was he?" She asked her. Hayley looked at her with raised eyebrows.

They walked to Hayley's bedroom. "Who? Elijah's still missing, but Klaus tried attacking Davina and we were almost killed by Mikael."
Elara nodded. So why didn't he just tell her that? "Mikael took Cami, I'm not sure how she came into the mix though." Hayley leaned over the balcony.
