It tells the story of Rachel, who gets married with David, who owns some property of caves, and comes from a fine heritage, in England. He also has a son called Jamie, where they seem perfect, but still, David hides a lot of secrets. His tragedy is that his past wife, Nina, died in one of the caves when she fell and drowned. So, the child of this woman, Nina, starts telling Rachel that he can see his dead mother, which will lead to other secrets being revealed throughout the book.
