This is a summary and review of the new Star Trek series released in 2017 and composed of four seasons.

Star Trek: Discovery

This new series of the Star Trek universe narrates the adventures of the starship Discovery with its new and interesting crew to discover new worlds and explore different cultures and frontiers in a peaceful manner. The timeline of the series happens ten years before the original series from the late sixties involving Kirk and his crew.

I think this is a whole new and different series, since it involve a lot of new characters and settings that are not related to the other ones. Also the story involves introducing a theme in a chapter, and going on from there, not like the other series, where each chapter introduced a new theme.

The way this relates to reality is that now there are a lot of explorations going on in space with shuttles and ships, to see if there is life in other planets and other stuff. So there are a lot of things being discovered and a lot more will be seen.

Creo que esta es una serie completamente nueva y diferente, ya que involucra muchos personajes y escenarios nuevos que no están relacionados con los demás.
