Summary: 2 people who hate haunted houses and a kid, what could go wrong?

"I can't believe you convinced me to go to a haunted house," Spencer muttered.

Derek grinned. "Scared?"

"You wish." He rolled his eyes. "It can't be that scary."

A bright light flashed as a loud sound rang out, eliciting a shriek from Spencer.

"Bring it on, huh?"

"Shut up." Reid looked around. "Is it just me or has this line not moved in ages?"

A woman turned around in front of the agents. "Someone fainted inside, so they had to get that sorted!"

Spencer's eyes widened. "Like from the lights or...?"

"Nah!" She chuckled. "People said it was fear."

"Oh great..."

"This'll be fun!" Derek rubbed his hands together.

Spencer looked at his watch. "You know, I've got a lot of paperwork and—"

"Nope. You're here and are sticking with it." Derek pointed behind Spencer. "Look."

"Huh?"

"A kid, Reid. A literal child can do this."

Spencer crossed his arms. "That child shouldn't be here."

"No, you should just stop being a wimp."

The genius rolled his eyes. "I'm not a wimp."

The pair approached the front of the line. "Yeah? Then I guess you wouldn't mind going in without me."

"Huh?"

Derek shrugged. "If this is so easy, you can handle it by yourself."

"Morgan—"

"Next!" The attendant called.

"Derek—"

"Just me." Derek smiled and winked at Spencer. "Good luck, kid."

Spencer clenched his jaw, exhaling.

"You gonna go, dude?" An obviously high teenager asked from behind him.

"Just go ahead of me," Spencer mumbled.

"Dudes! We can cut!"

A mass of teenagers ended up ahead of him, leaving Spencer with a young woman and the little boy Derek pointed at earlier.

"Thank god you got rid of them," you said, laughing.

Spencer smiled awkwardly. "Hah. Yeah."

You pursed your lips. "You uh gonna move?"

"I—I well I—" Spencer looked at his feet. "No, just go."

You looked around. "All good?"

The agent laughed softly. "Not the biggest fan of haunted houses."

"Can I ask why you're at one then?"

"My friend dragged me."

"Uh where are they?"

Spencer shook his head. "Ditched me to do this alone because he thought it'd be funny."

You grimaced. "That's evil. I respect it, but it's evil."

"So now I'm here reconsidering my life's decisions and—"

"Aunt Y/N!" Your nephew whined. "Can we go in?"
