Chapter 26 ✨

Tahany ~

After praying fajr I went back to sleep and woke up to the smell of turkey bacon egg and cheese with some pancakes . I went to go brush my teeth take a shower and eat .

" Salam wailakum , on walee eh jaam ?. " I asked the whole table .

Translation in Fulani  - Did you have a good sleep ?

" Wailakum Salam , Aye ." They all replied .

Translation in Fulani  -  Yes .

" When are you going home ? " My mother asked .

" Damn nene you want to kick me out already ? " I asked

( Nene means mom in Fulani )

" No ." She laughed . " Your husband probably misses you ." She said .

All the girls looked at eachother and continued eating .

" Haha , no I told him I was staying here for a few days ." She said .

" I'm actually going to pick up Housain today , I miss him and he could play with his cousins ." I said.

" Okay in shaa allah ." My mom said .

I'm glad she didn't ask no questions because the issue was already starting to grow .

1 hour later

I just pulled up into our drive through and I didn't see Ibrahim's car . Thank god. I was just going to pack some clothes for Housain and go pick him up wherever he was .

I quickly got in the house , got a little bag and started putting some of Housain's clothes inside the bag .

"Ehemm ." I heard someone clear their voice . I turned around and seen Ibrahim standing there looking confused .

" Uhh why you packing stuff for Housain ?" he asked.

" Uhh because I miss him and my family wants to see him ." I replied .

" You don't gotta do all this , you doing too much right now ." He said grabbing the bag .

" Let go of the bag." I said calmly but irritated .

" I'm not letting you leave again, we need to talk about this ." He said pouring all the clothes out the bag .

At this point I was lividdd . I brushed past him and saw my baby on the chair playing . I grabbed him and got my car keys ready to leave . He still had some clothes at my mothers so I didn't really care .

Then I just see Ibrahim coming towards me and he just grabbed my car keys out of my hand and went to go hide them I guess . I was not about to fight him he's acting like I wasn't going to find my own way to go . I quickly stopped a cab and told the taxi man my mother's address.

1 hour later ~

My whole family was home today and was having a good time . I didn't dare bring up what happened earlier . The bell suddenly rang and I was confused cuz we weren't expecting any visitors .

" Salam wailakum." Ibrahim said walking into the house .

" Wailakum Salam ." Everyone replied.

" Wassup bro ." Yunus said dapping him up . " He's here to get you outta here ." Yunus said laughing .

" Come eat , my son ." My mother said seating him at a nearby table .

" Tahany go get him the pepe soupou." My mom told me .

I got up and just gave him the food and water so I didn't raise any suspicion.

" How is the company Khalid ? " My father asked him holding Housain .

" It is good alhamdullilah, we're working on another project right now ." He responded .

After he chilled and stayed for a bit he told me  that we were going home .

" Tahany , you ready to go ?" He asked .

" No , I'm staying for a couple of more days ." I told him with a fake little smile .

My sisters were just watching knowing everything that happened .

" Come on , I miss you ." He said .

" Yea , I miss you too but I also miss my family." I said .

" Yelaa , go home ." My father told me .

" Baba , you know I don't wanna leave you guys . I'm not leaving until I stay here for a couple of days ." I told my father .

" Next time , Tahany. Just go ." My mother said starting to look suspicious.

" Aww we wanted her to stay and we just got Housain." Maryam said trying to help me .

" Deadass, come back another time bro." Munayeer said .

" Khalaas !" My dad said " Tahany get ready to leave ."

I angrily just grabbed Housain from my father  and left the house . I didn't say bye to not one person or looked their way .

" Yo what's going on ? " My brother Yunus said walking outside .

" I don't wanna go home yet . Baba thinks I just need to listen to my husband all the time  . I already told him before I got married I am always going to do what I want and have my own opinions." I blurted .

" So why don't you wanna go ?" He asked as I saw Ibrahim walking out the door.

" Tell Kadija to explain it to you , then call me ." I said putting Housain in his car seat .

The car ride was quiet . I sat in the back seat next to Housain because I did not wanna be near Ibrahim right now .

1 hour later ,  it was time for bed . Housain was all cleaned and fast asleep and I was going to sleep in the guest room . Ibrahim didn't talk to me since he got home probably because I embarrassed him but I don't care .

We always had this rule no matter how mad we were at eachother . We would say goodnight before going to sleep and go to sleep with clean hearts because you honestly don't know if you'll make it to see the next morning .

" Goodnight."  I said poking my head into the room .

" Good night." He said .

Whew it's a matter of time before things blow up .
