Warm tears gushed out of her mesmerizing eyes and streamed down her soft dusky cheeks as she stood there rooted to the spot. It felt like her world had stopped spinning and she was sinking deep into the earth's core.

Needless to say, her heart broke into over a zillion pieces at once the instant she heard about his 'sex' fiascos before marriage.

For sure, to him getting intimate with a lot of women before marriage wasn't a big deal. But to her...? To her, it was the complete opposite. In fact more than that.

She clearly knew that there was a great difference between past and present but being on the receiving end, she was obviously not ready give into her sane frame of mind. She couldn't think straight. It surely came as a huge shock to her. A shock that not only shook her world but also brutally crushed her dreams.

She couldn't believe he had something like that under his sleeve and the little realization of how conveniently he chose to keep her in the dark all this while hurt her even more. Her face was drained out of colour just in a flip of a second.

It was truly a huge blow on her innocent soul and he knew he had terribly crossed the line by taking her for granted.

Well, just like her, even he was rooted to the spot. Even though he wanted to rush towards her, take her in his arms and tell her how sorry he was for hiding the truth from her; he just couldn't do it. He couldn't even take a step towards her.

One look at her gushing tears, hurtful eyes and pain stricken face; he just wanted to kill himself for hurting her this bad. Everything spoke how gravely hurt she was and he suddenly felt like an ant in front of huge tigress. Neither could he move nor could he get a word out of his mouth.

Understanding the couple needed privacy, Xavier moved out of the cabin not before patting Eric's shoulder blade and whispering, "Everything will be fine. Give her time to understand. Speak to her."

As Xavier left, they stood there staring at one another as if lost in their own thoughts. He was cursing himself for bringing up such a situation in the first place while she was wondering why he had hidden things from her. Only their eyes did the talking.

After what felt like eternity, their revere of thoughts finally broke when they heard an aeroplane flying in the sky. Blinking her eyes for a few seconds, she lowered her gaze and wiped her eyes while he exhaled deeply trying to find the courage to speak to her.

Neither did she want to talk to him at that moment nor did she want to stay in the same room with him. She desperately wanted to go back to Lord Shiva and cry her heart out. She just wanted some space for now and what is wrong in that?

She knew if she stayed there even a minute longer she will breakdown and probably cause a scene. And believe me; that was the last thing she would ever want. She wouldn't do anything that would embarrass him.

Not wanting to stand there like a fool, she wiped her eyes again and turned around to leave his office right away. She didn't want to discuss about their personal life in his office.

She always believed that personal matters were supposed to be dealt at home and office matters at office. And the last thing she ever wanted was to give others a chance to talk behind their backs and make things uncomfortable.

"Wait Mahima please, I can explain..." Eric spoke in a desperate tone barging towards and grabbing her by her arm while she looked over her shoulder and replied back in a pain stricken tone, "This is your office. We will not talk here in office. I want to go home."

Of course, the pain and agony in her voice was not left unnoticed by him and to say his heart shattered into pieces would be such a grave understatement.
