"I am just going to set them right!" He said gritting his teeth and moving away from her while she held his hand trying to stop him.

Of course, with the translator's help and considering how mad he was since he learnt about Santosh and Usha's behaviour towards her, she clearly understood that he was going to her house for a fight for sure.

However, she knew even if he went to her house now, he would return empty handed. By now her parents must have left to visit their family relatives in other village that was around 3 hours away from Pali. And they would be returning back in one week.

Of course while they were gone, Usha made it a point to load Mahima's shoulders with hell lot of responsibilities. And why not? Being the vicious woman that she is, she didn't like the thought of Mahima taking rest after coming home from her work.

True, the previous night, she had given her some crazy list of activities for one week. And as if it wasn't enough this morning she pulled the '10kg Rice Sac' stunt just before leaving for her trip.

Of course it is needless to say that she even went to the extent of asking her neighbour to keep an eye on Mahima. Well, this neighbour was a great friend to Usha and was nosy enough to give anyone a damn migraine.

No wonder these two are 'great' friends!

She wouldn't think twice before telling Usha if she found something suspicious going on. And Mahima who was always at the receiving end knew how to deal with these two witches.

So, for now the best and smartest option was to forget about everything as if nothing happened and live peacefully at least for the next one week.

But Eric who was dying to choke those two maniacs, simply jerked her hand away and made his way towards the car.

"Thamba!" (Stop!)

"Why should I? Those maniacs need to be taught a lesson." He snapped back when she tried to stop him again while she heaved a deep sigh and wondered how should she react?

She was touched and felt extremely happy seeing how protective and caring he is for her. And why not? After all there is someone who truly cares about her other than Ankit and Kirti. But at the same time, she was worried about him. She knew how her father is when he gets mad. And the last thing she would ever want was her father hurting Eric in any form.

Breathing deeply, she clicked on the translator and told him how her parents won't be in village for one week and how her step mother had arranged one of her devils to keep an eye on her.

Feeling completely irritated on how things were not under his control, he rolled his eyes and lifted the sac saying, "I hope your nosy neighbour doesn't have her eyes on us otherwise, I swear I am going to carve her damn eyes out!"

As she stared at him ever so lovingly seeing his poor little helpless irritation, he put the sac in the car and opened a door for her saying in a sarcastic tone, "Let's get this 10 kg rice ground into fine flour as per your 'aayi's order!"

"Aap ka aahes...?" (Why are you...?) And even before she could complete her sentence, he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the car saying, "The hell I am going to let you carry that crazy sac!"

"What. Is. Your. Name?" Eric asked ever so slowly giving her good time to understand each and every word while Mahima blinked her eyes a little for a few seconds listening to him carefully and concentrating on his gestures.
