Narrator POV:

John and Peggy were famous singers. Both of them loved the others music and would always listen to it. They've met a few times. Mostly at concerts, awards and talk shows etc. But their most recent encounter was at a party...

John and Peggy were both waiting outside the bathrooms at their friends party. Well... more like acquaintance. (Burr)

Peggy noticed John looking a but anxious. "You ok?" She asked, trying not to startle him. John looked up and shrugged. "I'm not really into parties.." he mumbled. Peggy went over and set beside him on the floor. "Let's talk?"

Now, John couldn't get her put of his head. All his thoughts and dreams revolved around her. He remembered how lonely he felt during the party. He remembered how she said she felt lonely and broken when she was alone, which was often. She didn't have a group of friends that helped her with her music like he did. It was just her.

John started to get flooded with ideas so he did the one thing he was good at. Write songs.

Eventually, he finished his song and added it to his list of songs he was going to sing at his next concert. He found Peggy's address and sent her a ticket, hoping she would be there.

...

A few weeks later, it was the night of the concert and John was getting ready. One of his friends was watching the security cameras and texted John when Peggy showed up. John smiled to himself and went up on the stage and sung all his usual songs.

...

"This next song is for a special someone who is here tonight that I couldn't get my mind off of. Peggy Schuyler, this ones for you." He said before he started singing.

"I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you

I met you late night, at a party
Some trust fund baby's Brooklyn loft
By the bathroom, you said:, "Let's talk"
But my confidence is wearing off

Well, these aren't my people, these aren't my friends
She grabbed my face and that's when she said

I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you

There's something tragic, but almost pure
Think I could love you, but I'm not sure
There's something wholesome, there's something sweet
Tucked in your eyes that I'd love to meet

These aren't my people, these aren't my friends
She grabbed my face and that's when she said

I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you

Life is not a love song that we like
We're all broken pieces floating by
Life is not a love song we can try
To fix our broken pieces one at a time

I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you
I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you "

Once he finished the song, Peggy had already left her spot and was backstage waiting for him to get off. John waved and smiled to the crown one last time before he went backstage and kissed Peggy.

That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

A/N: sorry this was bad 😅
