Chapter 8

HAVENS POV

Once i started to understand my surroundings, it all made sense. The hotel had caught on fire. i could see Hayes, Bart, Taylor, Gilinsky, and all of the guys except Sammy and my brother. Gilinsky and Hyes were both freaking out. "wheres jack" i asked Hayes. "We dont know. The firefighters got everyone out but them, we cant find them" Hayes explained. I began crying and Hayes hugged me. All of the sudden Sammy came runninglut of the hotel crying. He ran towards us "Haven oh my gosh your okay.is everyone out" he asked frantically. "everyone but my brother" i told him. "look Haven i was with him, he went into your room looking for you and the flames they....they caught his arm but he's okay now and the firemen are bringing him down to take him to the hospital. he will be okay his arm is just burned on the top skin" he explained. I was releived that everyone was okay but why Jack. I know that he will be fine and maybe have a cast for a week or some thing but why do all of the crazy unheard of things that only happen in movies have to happen to us. I could see the firemen carrying my brother out and putting him on a stretcher. I told Gilinsky to take Hayes and meet us at the hospital. I grabbed Sammy's hand and began running towards the ambulance. We both got in and the ambulance speeded off. Once we got there they immediately took him to a room wear Sammy and I followed. Since he didn't need surgery or anything, Sammy and I were allowed to stay. We watched as they gave him shots in the arm, then cleaned the burned part up. Thick cast on his arm so the burn wouldn't touch anything before it healed. I talked to the nurse and she said it was just a minor injury where he could leave today. He had passed out after the burn and woke up right about after I talked to the doctor. I walked over to him and sat down beside him. "Haven I went back to look for you" he said. "I know, it's okay" I said. "How did you get out" he asked. "I didn't know what had happened, I still don't know how the fire started but I woke up to a whole lot of smoke and saw Hayes carrying me out" I explained. "Wait is everyone okay? Where are they" he asked. "Everyone's fine, they all got out before the fire got bad and they were on there way when we left with you" I told him. Gilinsky and Hayes walked in. "Hey bro. Are you okay what did the doctor say" Gilinsky asked. "They bandaged it up and said I'll be fine. They said I can leave today as soon as the nurse gets back." Jack answered. "Great. We were all wondering if your up for it, if you would come with all of us shopping since some of our things were burned." I told Jack. "Turns out that the fire was on the floor that Taylor, Mahogany, Johnson, Sammy, Haven, and Hayes were on and everyone else was below them so the other people had time to get there suitcase and one or two things" Gilinsky explained to us all. We tried to figure out if everyone had there phone. Everyone had there's so really we only needed clothes. The nurse came back and told Jack he was released so he stood up and we all walked out. All of the guys and Mahogany were in the lobby with Bart. Bart talked to the nurse then came over to Jack. "The nurse says that your fine but if you don't think that you can do the real event tomorrow then it's fine" he said. "No I can do it" Jack said. Today was just the setup and practice for tomorrow's show so we weren't really missing anything. We all drove in a van to a local Mall and walked around shopping. Then I saw my brother walk up to Hayes where they were about 4 feet away from me. "Thank you" he said to Hayes. "For what" he asked. "For getting her out safe" he said. "I wanted to, when I saw the fire all I did was get her out" he said. After we were done shopping, all of the people who had taken suitcases out went to the new hotel and the rest of us went to target to buy suitcases. When we got to the hotel we got our keys and all went with the same roommates back to our rooms. I put on pajama shorts and a tee shirt then hopped in my bed and sat there on my phone. Hayes was on his bed watching vines of Marcus Johns. I sat up and turned so I was facing
him and stared at him for about a minute before he turned to me "why are looking at me"'he said laughing. "Because your amazing, you saved my life. You got me out. I just wanted to say thank you" I said. "Look Haven, I don't know if your brother likes me but I like you and that's all I care about. I feel like if I wait to long I'll miss my chance since we're on tour with like 10 other guys so will you............be my girlfriend?" He asked nervously. "Of course I will. I thought for sure that you knew I liked you when I had Gilinsky come sit by us then got that text from Mahogany" I said. He laughed. "I remember that text. When I saw my name at first I thought that I had done something embarrassing and you to were texting about it then I saw the heart and got really happy" he said.
