I just wanted to get back to normal.

I carefully showered, trying to avoid the bandages that were covering my burns. When I was done I made my way out to the main part of the room. Colby was sitting on the bed, under the covers with his shirt off.

"I thought you would be sleeping." I said quietly as I walked over to my bag. "Yeah, I'm just catching up on some emails." He said as I nodded.

"Where are Sam and Kat?" I asked as I walked over to the bed, carefully laying next to Colby.

"They went to go adventure. We're trapped here for the time being." He said as I nodded and snuggled into him. "Good, because you need to sleep." I said and looked up at him.

"You're right." Colby said then locked his phone and tossed it to the side. "Good." I said then leaned my head on his chest. "Goodnight, V. I love you." He said then kissed my head. "I love you more." I whispered then closed my eyes.

I thought I would be harder to sleep but I was so exhausted both mentally and physically that I fell asleep and stayed asleep.

I woke up a few hours later, feeling more refreshed. Colby was still fast asleep which was good because he needed to rest.

I carefully got out of bed, then walked out to the balcony that was connected to our room. It was a little cold out since a storm was starting to roll in.

I sat down in the chair that was out there, then pulled out my phone. I had a couple messages from Ki asking if I was okay.

I responded to her, telling her I was doing okay then looked up as it started raining. I sat there for a minute, listening to the rain as it hit the pavement below.

I tried to just let the sound of it calm me down since I was still feeling a little hysteric. I just wanted to be able to get back to normal.

I was sick of being sad.

I decided after a couple minutes that I wanted to call Colby's mom to check on the girls. My heart felt heavy that they weren't here with me right now. I missed them so much.

"Hi, honey." Colby's mom answered after a few rings. "Hey, how's it going?" I asked and pulled my knees to my chest. "Its going well. I think they miss you." She said as I frowned. "I miss them so much." I said quietly as I fussed with my necklace.

"What's wrong, sweetheart? It sounds like something is bothering you." She said as I nodded. "Yeah. I guess this trip just wasn't what I thought it was going to be like." I said quietly as I looked up at the stormy sky.

"Did you want to talk about it?" She asked as I nodded. I spent the next ten minutes explaining everything that's happened, from me finding out that Daisy killed my parents, to the crash that I had just endured last night.

I told her everything.

"Oh my..." Colby's mom said as I nodded. "Yeah, it's a big pile of crazy." I said as Colby opened the door and came outside.

"I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now." She said quietly as Colby pulled my hand, causing me to stand up.

"It's been overwhelming..I just wish I had the girls right now, they always make everything better." I said as Colby sat down, pulling me into his lap. "When are you guys coming back?" She asked as I leaned my head back against Colby's chest.

"Tomorrow afternoon." I said quietly as Colby wrapped his arms around me. "Well we are going to have all of the cuddles in the world waiting for you when you get here." She said as I frowned "I can't wait." I whispered then looked up at Colby.

"Try to enjoy your time while you can, sweetheart. I know how painful this is for you, but just lean on the people who love you and want to help you. Just remember that you're allowed to be sad. It's completely normal." Colby's mom said as I nodded and snuggled into Colby.

"Thank you...I love you." I said as Colby rubbed my arm gently. "I love you too, darling. I'll talk to you later." She said as I nodded. "Give the girls kisses from us." I said as she breathed a laugh. "I promise I will." She said then hung up.

"Hi, baby." I said quietly as Colby kissed my head. "Hey, how'd you sleep?" He asked as I shrugged. "I slept well I think. What about you?" I asked as a bolt of lightening flashed around us. "I slept well." He said as we looked out towards the rainy horizon.

"Good, are you hungry?" I asked as he nodded. "I could eat." He said as I nodded. "We should see what
Sam and Kat are up to." I said as he nodded.

"They're probably back in their room by now." He said as I shrugged. "I don't know, there's a lot to do around here. They could be gone for a while." I said with a grin as I looked up at him.

"What would you like to do then?" He asked as I sighed. "I just want to see my parents again...I just feel like I need to be with them right now." I said as he nodded.

"Okay, we'll eat something and when the storm dies down we can go visit your parents." He said as I smiled. "I think I also want to talk to Beatrice again....I feel bad that I blamed her for everything." I said as he scrunched his brow.

"Really?" He asked as I nodded. "Yeah, she was just trying to protect me and Daisy. She knew it would kill me and by the time I was alright she probably thought it was too late." I said quietly as Colby nodded. "We can go talk to her then." He said as I nodded.

I was a little nervous to talk to Beatrice again but I just wanted to really hear her out since I did love her like a mom. I couldn't let one mistake outweigh all of the good things she's done for me.

I just hoped that her intentions were good.
