The next day I woke up to the new guy poking me.
"Athy!" He whispered and poked me once. I ignored.
"Athy!" He did it again.
"Athy!" This time he yelled and pushed my shoulder. Then I thought, 'why is he in my room?!'
"What!" I snapped. He jumped.
"I-uh I'm sorry to wake you, but..." He started.
"But what!" I growled as I got up from the bed.
"I remembered my name!" He put on a huge grin on his face.
"Oh." I rubbed my eyes.
"What is it?" I yawned.
"My name is Ben! It's Ben!" He announced.
"Nice name. Congratulations! Now go around telling everyone in the Glade." I told him just to get rid of him.
"Yeaah!" He said excitedly and ran out my room.
I heard his footsteps going down the stairs and the faint yelled of him yelling, "hey guys! My name is Ben!"
"Ugh!" I let myself fall back on the bed.
Minho walked in.
"Woah that guy is nuts." He laughed.
"Yup." I answered and jumped out if bed.
"The greenies are always so annoying with all their questions and crying themselves to sleep." He sat on my bed as I got my running clothes ready.
"Like you were any different when you first got here." I raised an eyebrow.
"I was one of the first Graders." He mumbled
"Yeah but that's doesn't mean you weren't confused or scared."
"Pft whatever. Hurry up, I'm hungry." He leaned back with his hand planted on the bed to support him.
"Then get out." I pointed to the door.
"Why?"
"Ugh you ask that every day! I'm gonna change." I placed the runner clothes on the bed and pushed him out.
"Okay, okay. But hurry."
"Yeah yeah." I closed the door.
I made sure the window was covered enough so no one could peek through. I quickly stripped my sleeping clothes and put in the clean runner ones.
"Okay I'm done!" I yelled and Minho came back in. I sat on the bed putting on my shoes.
"So the newbie's name is Ben." He stated.
"Yup, he seems pretty happy about remembering." I finished the last knot on my left shoe.
" well yeah. But his name ain't gonna help no one."
"Yup, c'mon let's go have breakfast." I motioned to the door. We both walked down and had breakfast. I liked this routine. Waking up, Minho waiting for me to get ready and having breakfast together. I don't want to stop being a runner. Not for Gally.
We were all fresh and ready to start running. We walked together. and when we were starting to go our separate ways to different doors Minho held my forearm.
"Here, read it when you take a break." He put a piece of paper in my hand.
"Go to your door." He said and he ran to his door. 'Well that's weird.' I thought to my self. I ran towards my section and put the paper in my pocket for safe keeping.
I kept running. Curiousness itched all over me. Aghhhh! I can't take it! I need to know what the note said!!!!
