Chapter 99

Mallory's POV

"Mallory you need to get up, we're gonna be late for your check up" Dad said

"Mmmmmm" I groaned rolling over and putting the blanket over my head.

"If you don't get up, I'll throw water on your head" he said

I peeked one eye open and looked at dad. He had a cup in his hand. I quickly sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"I don't want to go, they're gonna give me another shot and my arms gonna hurt" I said

"No shots today" dad said

"Promise?" I asked

"Promise" he said

"I'll be waiting downstairs. Well eat after your appointment" he said

"Is Sarah coming?" I asked

"No, she's picking up her family today and preparing dinner which were going too" dad said

"Okay" I said walking to my bathroom in my room.

I did my usual routine

• use the bathroom// wash hands
•brush teeth
•splash water on face
•brush hair

When I was finished, I walked over to my closet and just put on my black tights, and a slightly oversized shirt. Then I put on my black and white converse and I headed downstairs.

"Ready" I said

"Okay let's go" dad said

We got into the car and headed to the doctors.

"Can you turn on the radio please" I asked

"Sure thing" dad said turning on the radio

Once he turned on the radio, the song amnesia came on by 5 seconds of summer.

"YES, 3 TIMES IN A ROW THIS SONG CANE ON" I yelled jumping in my seat.

I started singing along and dad was just laughing in the drivers seat. Soon enough, we reached the doctors office. Dad parked the car and came around to the back and opened the door for me.

"Let's go Mal" dad said

"Ugh okay" I said

I stepped out of the car and dad took my hand and we walked to my doctors office. Me and dad walked over to the front desk to check me in.

"Hello, how may I help you?" The lady at the desk asked

"Yes, we have an appointment for Mallory Franta" dad said

"Oh yes, she'll be getting her check up and a flu shot today. Just wait in the waiting room till someone calls you" the lady said smiling and my face dropped.

"Thank you" dad said smiling and we walked to the waiting room to sit down.

"Dad! You said no shots. You lied to me" I said

"Sorry Mal, I forgot about the flu shot" he said laughing a little

I slapped his arm "it's not funny, I wanna leave" I said

"Mal, you took so many shots before though" he said

"And I hated all of them. Now let's go before they come out and it's too late" I said standing up

Dad grabbed my tiny waist and plopped me on his lap.

"Not so fast" he said trapping me

"I don't like you right now" I said and he laughed
