Chapter 78

Connor's POV

I ran straight to Mallory's hospital room. I ran in and saw her bed gone.

I ran to the front desk

"Where's Mallory Franta!" I exclaimed

"Sir calm down, that patient went into surgery an hour ago because her heart was failing again. I'm sorry" she said and went back to the computer screen.

No no no this can't be happening.

"Why haven't I've been told she went into surgery!" I yelled

"It was a urgent thing and we did call." She said

I took my phone out of my pocket and saw I had 2 missed calls from the hospital. I probably was in Mals room shocked at the time.

I went to the waiting room and sat down and out my head in my hands.

Everyone came shortly after.

"Is she okay" Cameron asked

"Where is she?" Ricky asked

"She's in surgery because her heart was failing" I said as the first year escaped my eyes.

"It's okay man, she's a fighter" Cameron said

I was getting sick of people telling she will be okay because it doesn't help. She's still not awake and I don't even know how she got in this situation.

I didn't want to argue so I said "thanks" and looked down again.

A few hours later, a doctor came.

"Mallory Franta?" He called

I shot up and went to him.

"Yes?" I said nervously

"Her heart was failing, but we brought her back. She's okay now and is back in her room. You can visit her now." He said

I nodded and all of us got up and went into her room. She was so pale and lifeless, that it broke my heart.

She's been sleeping for months now. She was fine one day and just got rid of her cancer. Now she's here in the hospital unconscious for moths.

She can never catch a break.

I say by her side and held her hand and rested my head on the side of her bed. Then I fell asleep.

Mallory's POV (finallllllly)

*back to when Nick and Lucy were in her room*

I watched as how they sticked the needle in my arm. I cried watching, thinking that I'm gonna be gone for good. Eric was holding me, then he said

"Mal Look!"

I looked up and saw Kian on top of Nick and Lucy. Then the rest of the guys came and Cameron, Nash, and Dad went to me. They pulled the needle out.

After Nick and Lucy were arrested, I was rushed into a room. Then I saw daddy faint and hit his head. I cried because I saw that he didn't wake up.

He finally did, and was saying these crazy things. Like I was dead and he was dating Sarah and all this stuff.

I decided to go into my room. I wanted to visit the house because I was really missing it. Besides, I couldn't handle seeing me go into surgery. Again.

I went to my room and looked around, then my door shut. I was just crying because I missed home so much and the door just slammed.

Then I heard foot steps and someone enter my room, but my back was faced towards the door. Then I heard my name. "Mal?" I turned around and hen vanished because I was shocked that dad could see me.

I saw him shocked then ran straight out. He went to the hospital and finally came in my room when I was done.

He was holding my hand and resting his head on my bed sleeping.

Little did he know I was next to him the whole time, hugging him. I miss him so much.

I finally decided to head back. When I did, Eric was gone.

I called out his name. No answer.

"Eric!?" I yelled again

"I'm right here" I heard him yell

I turned around and saw him. I ran up to him and he picked me up and I cried into his shoulder.

"What's wrong baby?" He asked

"I miss them so much" I said

"I know, don't worry, you'll see them soon" he said while rocking me back and forth

"The hard thing is, is that I don't want to leave you either" I said sobbing

"I'll always be here for you. No matter what" he said making me face him.

I kissed his cheek and he kissed my forehead rocking me back and forth. Finally I fell asleep.

I woke up the next day and Eric was still sleeping. I jumped on his stomach and he woke up.

"Hello to you too" he said laughing slightly

I giggled and jumped off the bed.

"Let's go visit the park" I said

"Sounds good to me" he said

He took my hand and I closed my eyes. Next thing I know, I'm at the park.

"TAG YOURE IT" I yelled laughing and running away

We played for an hour and we climbed the tree.

"Do you miss being here?" I asked looking at the park

"Yeah" Eric said looking out.

"I wish you could come back with me" I said frowning

"Me too, but you know I can't. I wish I could've been with you the whole time, but the past is the past and you met great people that love and take care of you" he said

We decided to walk around and just visit places we miss.

"Are you gonna visit me at home when I return?" I asked

Eric's POV

"Are you gonna visit me at home when I return? She asked

I wanted to say yes, but I can only visit her on special occasions. We have a certain amount of times we can come back to earth. Mallory on the other hand, can go back whenever because she's allowed to come back.

Me on the other hand is gone. Since Mallory wanted to go back so many times and I went with her, I only have 4 more times.

"Umm- well listen, why don't we head back and I'll tell you" I said

She looked confused and nodded

We got back and we at on the bed.

"I'm only aloud to go back to earth a couple of times. After my times are up, I can't visit you, but I will still keep watching over you for sure." I said

"Oh. Okay" she said sadly

"Don't be sad, I'm here now" I said smiling

She gave me a weak smile and said

"How much more times do you have?" She asked

"4" I said

"What?" She said "Thats too little. You need to have more times" she said

I hugged her and pulled her on to my lap "shhh don't worry, I'll always be with you"

The rest of the day, we talked and talked. I'm really sad that I can't go back and be with Mal. She's a cute and loving kid that was treated so horribly.

I'm sure gonna miss her when she's gone.

Few hours later, we both fell asleep.
