TW: blood, death (hehe)
Today I'm at my boyfriend, Rutger's, game. They're playing Ohio State and are up 4-3 with a period left. The boys are at the center faceoff circle getting ready. Ethan won the faceoff and the players were headed down to Ohio's goalie.
Out of nowhere, Mason Lohrei, a dman on Ohio, came plummeting into Rutger which sent him head first into the boards. I gasped as I saw him unconscious and blood trickling down the side of his face.
Medics and trainers rushed onto the ice right away as everyone backed away. The hit was fully legal so they couldn't do anything with Mason. Rutger wasn't breathing.
I could feel my heart rate getting faster, but not out of fear. They checked his pulse on his neck and wrist but shook their heads. They got him on a medical bed and covered him as they brought him off the ice.
The game was over from there as the officials didn't want to continue after what happened. Mason looked over the of Ohio State students and a few Michigan students, including myself. When our eyes met he subtly nodded towards the dressing rooms which I hesitantly nodded.
I went down to Ohio's lockers just as Mason walked out. He smirked at me as I grinned back. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders as I lay my head on his chest.
Rutger did some bad things and we did what we were told to do. It took us 2 months, exact time we had. They said the mission was impossible while me and Mason get back to them and say the mission was a success..
