"Oh, fuck." Scott and Kirstie said.
Avi went to get the nurse, but he had trouble finding her, so he ran around.
This left Mitch alone with both Scott and Kirstie. He didn't know what to do.
Scott was shaking in his arms, and Kirstie was on the bed panting.
He felt Scott tense up as Kirstie started squirming. "Fucking hell." Scott said.
Kirstie was having the hardest time keeping her breathing under control. She needed the comfort and the only other alpha in the room was on the floor.
Mitch was doing his best to comfort Scott, but he pushed him off and crawled away into the corner. Mitch stood up and made his way to Kirstie, or tried to. She threw something at him, again, and it nailed him in the groin.
He dropped to the ground and held himself. "Ah! Goddammit. Stop fucking throwing things at me." He managed to pull himself back up to his feet, but he was doubled over, still holding himself, trying to catch his breath.
Avi came back in and saw this. "Mitch?" He said, hurrying over to Kirstie.
"I'm fine. She nailed me in the dick." He tried to take deep breaths.
"With what?"
"I don't know. She fucking threw something at me."
"What did you do this tim-"
"Both of you shut up!!" Scott and Kirstie yelled.
Mitch and Avi just looked at each other, until Mitch paled and went to the bathroom.
Avi turned his attention back to Kirstie. "Baby? I know it hurts, just breathe, okay? That all you need to do." He grabbed her head and held her against him.
Scott was in need of something to knock him out. He didn't want to feel this! He already felt like he was gonna pass out. With the pain in his stomach, that was slowly spreading to his groin, he really wanted to die at this point. He hurt so much.
They barely caught they're breath before another contraction hit.
"Ah! Goddamn." Scott said. "I tap out. I tap out!" He chanted. He wanted to be done. He was so tired.
"If I can't tap out, what the hell makes you think you can?!" Kirstie yelled at him.
He whimpered as tears fell down his face. He was on the ground completely stretched out, but it just wasn't doing anything. The pain wouldn't go away, and when it did, it came right back.
"Fuck!" Kirstie yelled. Her stomach felt like it was getting torn open from the inside out. She was so mad at Avi right now. He did this to her. Why can't he be the one on the ground instead of Scott?
The nurse came in and checked her. "Well, I guess that was exactly what you needed. You're almost there. I'll get the doctor and tell her you're ready."
Kirstie laughed angrily. She wanted these babies out.
She growled when Mitch came back into the room.
He stopped in his tracks and held his arms up. He looked legitimately scared. "What did I do?" He asked, genuinely confused. Throwing stuff at him was one thing, but now shes growling at him too? What the fuck?
When the pain subsided, she fell against the bed, sweaty and panting. "Something...about you." She said between breaths. "It...its putting me...off."
Avi handed her the cup of ice chips and helped her get a few in her mouth. He got on the bed behind her, so she could rest against him, and grabbed one of the ice chips and began moving it around on her arms, neck, torso, and face. "What do you mean "I'm putting you off"? I haven't done anything!"
"I don't know, Mitch! Its just something about you. Something about your scent is driving me crazy!" She fell back against Avi, who fed her more ice chips.
She really did love him.
"My scent?! What the hell does that mean?"
She yelled and threw an empty cup at him.
Apparently, it wasn't empty, because the next time she opened her eyes, he was wet. "I'm sorry." She whimpered.
Mitch was so confused. First, Addalin wouldn't let go of him, and screamed her head off when Alex tried to take her home, and now, Kirstie was throwing shit at him and was growling at him.
"Its okay." He wanted to go up and offer some comfort, but he thought that wouldn't be the best idea right now. So, instead, he went to Scott, who was curled up on the ground. But the moment he touched him, Scott gave a low growl.
Mitch shot up. "Okay, what the actual fuck?!" He looked at Avi.
"What, you think I know?" Avi said.
Just then, Kirstie yelled. "Oh, fuck. Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck. Its time. Its definitely time." Kirstie said, death gripping Avi's legs.
"Couldn't fucking tell!" Scott yelled from the floor.
"Shut up, Scott!" Kirstie yelled. She wasn't in the mood for his complaints.
Scott felt like he was literally dying. The pain traveled from his stomach to his groin. It was the worst pain he's ever experienced. He's rather get shot again, because at least then he could be knocked out.
Mitch didn't know what to do. Kirstie didn't want to be around him because he was "putting her off" and Scott didn't want him to touch him. So he ran to get someone else that could do something.
"Leigh!" He called. She was the first person he saw. He doubled over to catch his breath. Whatever was making him sick, it didn't agree with the running.
"Mitch, what's happening?"
"I don't know what to do. Scott's dying on the floor and Kirstie just started screaming out that it was time and I can't do anything because Kirstie keeps throwing things at me and growling at me and Scott's growling at me and I can't do anything and just..." He vomited on the floor, and then collapsed as his legs gave out.
"Mitch?" Esther said, then ran over and dropped next to him.
He felt so dizzy. What the hell was wrong with him? Esther sat him up and got behind him so he could lean against her.
Back in the room, Kirstie, Scott, And Avi were having their own crisis.
It was time for Kirstie to push. They had her all set up, and thank god they didn't make Avi move. They had Scott back on his little bed, and they got to work.
The rest of the pack tried to come in, they were stopped. "We can only let two more people in." One of the nurses said.
Kirstie couldn't speak and neither could Scott, so that left Avi with the decision. He hoped he made the right one when he said "Esther and Mitch."
The two came in. Mitch didn't care if Scott was gonna growl at him, he needed to help some how. As he thought, Scott growled the moment Mitch touched him. "STOP!" Mitch snapped.
Scott started whimpering, but let Mitch hold him anyway. He needed the comfort, even what little Mitch could give. But something about Mitch just wasn't settling right with Scott. Kirstie had said something about his scent, and it wasn't affecting just her. He couldn't take it so he pushed off of Mitch.
Mitch felt so useless. What was is about him that was interfering with Scott and Kirstie's senses? He felt like he was about to cry. And that's exactly what happened, until Scott and Kirstie screamed. "Esther!" Mitch sobbed.
The beta quickly came over, to see a crying Mitch, who's eyes were bright blue. "What's wrong, honey?"
"Scott. He needs someone to hold him. Please?" He begged. He was dying to hold Scott because he was hurting so much, but clearly that wasn't going to happen.
She nodded and went over to the alpha, who was holding himself between the legs and screaming, with tears streaming down his face.
On the bed, nothing Avi was doing was helping Kirstie. The doctor between her legs wasn't saying anything, and she was starting to panic at the constant pain. She felt like she was about to be split in half.
"Okay." The doctor said. "You're fully dilated. I need you to push."
Kirstie sobbed and fell against Avi, who was whispering in her ear, but she could understand what was being said over her and Scott's cries.
"I need you to take a deep breath and push, alright, sweetie?"
Kirstie did as she was told, which did absolutely nothing but make the pain so much worse.
"Esther." Scott whimpered.
"Shh, its alright. Just breathe."
Being told to breathe wasn't what he wanted to hear. "If I breathe anymore, I'm gonna pass out! It literally feels like my dick is being torn in half." He growled, the fell against the woman behind him, sobbing.
Maybe you should breathe more, in that case." Esther chuckled.
"So, not funny." Scott growled, then screamed as he felt Kirstie push again
Mitch looked around. The amount of everything that was in the room was too much. He felt his knees buckle. "Oh, fuck." He said as he fell to the ground. The last thing he saw before he passed out was a pair of brown eyes looking at him.
"Mitch!" Kirstie yelled. But she didn't have time to think about him before she had to push again. They said it was the final one for the first baby, but she knew it wasn't. She was proven wrong when the baby slipped out of her.
She fell back against Avi, thankful for some relief, even if it was brief. She looked over and saw Kevin next to Mitch, waving something under his nose. She saw him jolt awake, and sighed, knowing he was okay. But then she felt the second baby move into position. Hopefully, this one would come out easier.
"Baby number two." The doctor said.
"I really hadn't thought of that!" Kirstie spat violently. "I thought it was a goddamn hamster." She fell back. It was too hot and this gown thing she was in was really pissing her off. She started tugging at it, trying to get it off.
One of the nurses caught on and helped Avi remove it, leaving Kirstie completely exposed, but she couldn't care less.
"Time to start pushing." She heard. So that's what she did. Three pushes later, the baby was crowning.
And Scott was dying. He and Esther were both surprised that he hadn't passed out yet, but Esther assumed it was because of Kirstie. Scott was a sobbing mess against her. Her shirt was soaked with his tears, and the grip he had between his legs made her cringe because his knuckles were white.
Kirstie slouched against Avi, unable to continue. "Kirstie, I need one more from you. One big final push."
"Ahh!!" She yelled. Not out of pain, but out of frustration. She just wanted to be done. No more pain. That's all she wanted.
Kevin helped Mitch stand, but Mitch instantly regretted that when he saw between Kirstie's legs, the baby's head sticking out. Is that what he had looked like? He didn't have time to contemplate the thought when his stomach lurched and he ran to the trash can and dry heaved, having already throw up everything that was in his system. It hurt so much.
Kirstie took a deep breath and pushed as hard as she could. The final pain of the babies shoulders coming out, told her she was finally done. With a grunt, she fell back against Avi and cried.
She did it. She actually did it.
She sobbed when she heard both babies giving strong loud cries. The baby wrapped in pink was handed to to her, and the one in blue was handed to Avi.
"They're perfect." Kirstie said through her tears.
"Just like you." Avi said tearfully.
"We did good." I smile at the little girl in my arms.
I'm beyond happy.
