Gauri, Tia, Richa and Ragini sit around the table looking at different colors of pen.
Just walk out of it, Gauri. Something whispered deep inside her.
"Come on, Gauri. Stop being a prude." Tia tells her.
"I am not." Gauri says taking a deep breath.
"Then you go first." Ragini tells her.
Gauri looks at the pens and then taking a deep breath, she closes her eyes and picks a pen.
Gauri opens her eyes and looks at the pen she was holding. Red. Red for danger. Oh Lord!
"Okay... we will take at the same time?" Richa asks everyone and they each pick a pen.
"We are done." Tia shouts out to the guys.
"Great!! Let's see who got blue." Mukesh says as he excitedly ran in with Dushyant and Vikam behind him and Omkara trailing behind.
"Oh my!" Richa says in shock as she held up her blue pen.
"Richa!" Mukesh says in a flirty tone while Richa grins happily.
"Green?" Dushyant asks excitedly.
"Me!" Tia replies as she put up her pen.
"Black?" Vikam asks.
"Oh bloody hell!" Gauri replies in wide eyed shock before anyone could say anything.
"You are black?" Vikam asks frowning upset at her reaction.
"No, I am black." Ragini replies as she looked at Gauri and sees her staring at Omkara.
Omkara looks at Gauri curiously and then his eyes widen as realization dawns. "YOU?"
"Who asked you to pick red?" Gauri asks him furiously as she stood up.
"I had to close my eyes! Why the hell did you pick red?" Omkara asks her furiously.
"I had my eyes closed too." Gauri mutters.
"No one asked her to." Tia adds trying her best to hide her giggle.
"Rules are rules." Vikam tells them.
Omkara turns to glare at Vikam when Mukesh adds, "God! If they are like this now... how are they are gonna be when..."
"Shut up!" Gauri snaps at him.
"There is no backing out, now!" Tia tells Gauri.
Gauri glares at Omkara and he glares right back at him. Ever since she joined this office, she had hated him. She hated his flirting nature, obnoxious behavior, he was crass and she absolutely hated his I-am-always-right attitude, she could never tolerate that as she was never wrong. She hated him and he hated her, FULL STOP! Now she had to sleep with him? He was going to be her first? He is going to make a laughing stock out of her here for being a virgin and an inexperienced one about everything.
Nothing was going down her throat as she nervously played with her food. How did I let Tia talk me into this? It was a normal day at office when Mukesh and Vikam started talking about friends with benefits and wife swapping and all. Somehow the conversation turned to hook ups in office. Before she knew they were planning to have a random hook up. She had laughed it off like any other thing. Then the next day, Tia had talked her into it talking about how a man gets to have all the fun, that her future husband would be sleeping his way around the whole country and blah blah blah. The feminist in Gauri had woken up and she decided to have some fun and for the first time she realized that she was so bloody wrong. She turns to look at Omkara and sees him joking with Mukesh and Vikam as if sleeping with someone was not a big deal to him. He is definitely good looking but I hate him and I just couldn't do it. He is going to make fun of me tomorrow. Oh god! Please save me.
Soon dinner was over and everyone gathered around the living room. They were staying at Vikam's farm house.
"There are condoms in every room." Vikam informs them. "In case anyone forgot to bring."
Gauri looks at Omkara in panic and he was turning off his mobile. Oh god!
"So, let's?" Mukesh asks Richa. She nods in reply.
Gauri watches as one by one everyone starts to go to a room.
"Shall we?" Omkara asks Gauri softly.
Gauri's eyes widen, and she gulps in panic. Then seeing everyone watching her, she nods her head. Omkara keeps his hand on her lower back and Gauri turns to look at him in shock but he was winking at Mukesh as he gently started leading her to the bedroom assigned to them.
"You seem nervous." Omkara tells her softly as he walked with her to the room. "First time doing it outside a relationship?"
Gauri looks at him in panic and before she could say anything they were in the bedroom. Gauri watches in shock as he locked the door. Omkara turns to her and says with a flirty smile, "How about we start with a drink? Set the mood and it will help you loosen up."
Gauri's heart starts slamming against her chest hearing him and she panics, "No."
"Wow... you are fast. You don't want to take it slow?" Omkara asks a little apprehensively.
"I can't do this. I want to go." Gauri says panicking as she tried to walk past him.
"Wait! What?" Omkara asks her as he held her hand.
"Please, Omkara. I am sorry. I made a mistake. I can't do this."
"Because it is me?"
"No. you are good looking guy and any girl would want to do it with you. but I am not like that. That Tia talked me into this. I made a mistake. I am not that type of a girl. I wanted to wait till my marriage and then that Tia..." Gauri blabbers as she struggled to free her hand from his hold.
"You mean to say you haven't done this before?" Omkara asks her in shock.
"Yes. And I don't want to do it outside marriage. Sex is sacred after marriage but before that it is a sin. I can't do this. Please Omkara. Let me go. I am sorry." Gauri says frantically and then stops in shock seeing Omkara softly chuckling. "Why are you laughing?"
"God, Gauri! How do you always manage to surprise me?" Omkara asks her sweetly smiling at her.
"Surprise you?" Gauri asks shocked.
"I was going to get you drunk and make you think that we did it." Omkara tells her.
"WHAT?"
"Shhh." Omkara shushes her up. "They might hear us." Omkara tells her softly.
"You didn't want to do it with me?" Gauri asks shocked.
"I didn't want to do it with anyone." Omkara tells her as he left her hand and walked towards the bed.
"Are you gay?" Gauri asks in shock.
Omkara gives her a look. "If a guy wants to wait till marriage to do it doesn't mean he is gay."
"You are a virgin?" Gauri whispers in shock.
"I am a flirt. I know I am at times very sick and crack a lot of dirty jokes." Omkara tells her and then he adds embarrassed, "Yeah I am a virgin too."
"Oh my God!" Gauri whispers in shock as she sat next to him. "But why?"
"Flirting and all is fine, Gauri. But that kind of intimacy, it should be with only that one girl who makes your heart beat like never before." Omkara tells her.
"Wow... I never thought you were romantic." Gauri says amazed.
Omkara chuckles, "I watch chick flicks and I cry."
Gauri bursts out laughing hearing that.
"If you tell anyone that, then I'll tell everyone that you had begged me to not have sex today and to hide that you are making up stories about me." Omkara warns her.
Gauri smiles at him not worried. Seeing her smile, Omkara smiles at her.
"Then why did you come here?"
"That Mukesh... he kept eating off my brain asking me to lose it. He was making fun of my manhood and I just let my ego get the better of me." Omkara tells her.
"Oh!" Gauri says grinning. "Then let's go home?"
"No... think of my image, Gauri." Omkara tells her in shock.
"What do you mean?" Gauri asks him in shock.
"We'll stay here tonight and go in the morning as if everything went according to plan."
"But..."
"I feel that we being virgins are what are pricking them, and they are forcing us. So let's just let them think we are no longer virgins."
Gauri thinks for a while and realizes that he is right. Tia has been behind her for months now to loosen up a little.
"You are right." Gauri tells him smiling.
"I am always right, Gauri Kumari Sharma." Omkara says with a smirk.
"Says the man who just admitted it was a mistake letting his ego guide him." Gauri smirks at him.
"You always piss me off."
"Even you, me."
"I live for that." Omkara tells her and then turns on the TV and puts it on mute. "There is a rerun of an old match." Omkara says excitedly as he sat on the couch.
Gauri sits on the couch next to him and tries watching cricket for a while then getting bored she picks her mobile and starts playing Logo Quiz, her current obsession.
"Ermm..." Gauri starts clearing her throat as she looked at Omkara. Omkara turns to look at her curiously. "You know which brand is this?" Gauri hesitantly asks him. Omkara looks at her mobile screen and says, "Chrysler. That is a car." Gauri enters it and smiles' seeing it is right. "Thank you."
"What game is that?"
"Logo Quiz." Gauri replies as she typed in Chevrollet, and starts frowning seeing that it is wrong.
"Only one L." Omkara tells her.
"Oh!" Gauri deletes an L and gets that right.
"We'll sleep?" Omkara asks her as his match was over.
Gauri nods her head and gets up. They both look at the bed and there was no long couch to sleep, only single seaters.
"I am not sleeping on the floor." Omkara tells Gauri.
"We can share the bed." Gauri tells smiling trusting him.
They settle on two ends of the bed. Gauri starts turning around unable to sleep. Change in surroundings and being on a bed with a guy was disturbing her. She realized that she was not going to get any sleep that night, so she takes her mobile to play.
"Not sleepy?" Omkara asks her.
"You didn't sleep?"
"I might want to wait for marriage, but I am still a guy." Omkara mutters.
Gauri nervously looks at him not knowing how to reply to that.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" Omkara asks her.
"Because first time I am sleeping with a man in my bed." Gauri says nervously.
"God... just play your game." Omkara says nervously realizing the sudden closeness was not only affecting him, her also.
"Did you sleep?" Gauri hesitantly asks him after a while.
"Stuck?" Omkara asks her.
"I need to guess one more to go to the next level."
Omkara moves closer to her and looks at the screen. "That one is Timberland."
Gauri enters that and smiles as she got access to next level. She was about to go back to the main screen when Omkara holds her hand. "That is Atari. Harley Davidson. That one is Canon."
Gauri turns to look at him in shock, "You are so fast."
"I am very brand conscious." Omkara explains as he identified the remaining ones.
"I missed a lot in the first few levels." Gauri says with an excited smile as she went to the previous levels.
Omkara moves closer to her and starts helping her as their head touched gently on the pillow.
"Victoria's secret!" Omkara drawls in a flirty tone.
Gauri gives Omkara a look and then enters it.
"Do you have any?" Omkara whispers to her.
Gauri shivers feeling his breath on her neck.
"Do you?" Omkara asks her.
"Shut up!"
"Come on. Tell me."
"You are so disgusting. You feel something inside you and you act as if someone completely different. Why do you behave so sickly?" Gauri asks him shocked.
"It is fun riling you up. And it's all fun, Gauri." Omkara chuckles as he looked at the fan thoughtfully. "You were always different from other girls."
"Me? How?"
"You knew where to draw the line. And I liked pushing you up against it."
"Why?" Gauri asks surprised.
Omkara shrugs. "I liked it when you got angry. Your face used to go pink."
"I hated you when you did that."
"I know." Omkara laughs.
Gauri turns to glare at him and seeing him laughing with so much mirth in his eyes, she couldn't help but laugh softly. Her laughter felt like music to his ears.
"Gauri..." Omkara calls her name in a serious tone.
"Hmmm?"
"Let people say whatever they want, don't let them influence you. You are a great person. You are truly a lady. Call me old fashioned or narrow minded for my way of thinking, but don't throw away what you are for some mindless sex. You are more than that."
"Even you. Let everyone make fun of you, don't do anything that is against your believes, Omkara. I realize that you are not all bad." Gauri ends with a teasing smile.
Omkara chuckles hearing her and smiles at her happily. It felt nice smiling at her and having her smile back at him.
Gauri looks at him watching her and her eyes get caught in his eyes; there was a world out there in his eyes. Finally looking him in the eyes she could truly see the man he hid behind the facade of his.
Omkara gently kisses her on her forehead and Gauri smiles at him shyly.
"Good night." Omkara wishes her.
"Good night." Gauri replies as she watched him roll over to his side of the bed.
Gauri wakes up in the morning and turning to her side she sees Omkara sleeping on his side facing her with his hand on the pillow. Without even thinking she holds his hand and he closes his hand holding her back. Gauri looks at him in panic and sees him smiling though his eyes were closed.
"You are awake?" Gauri asks panicking as she tried to free her hand from his hold.
"Been up for a long time." Omkara replies as he opened his eyes as he tightened his hold on her.
"I was just..." Gauri says embarrassed as she looked at their hands.
"I know." Omkara replies grinning at her.
"We should get going." Gauri tells him.
Leaving her hand Omkara sits up. "Why don't you get ready?"
"Okay."
Gauri comes out of the shower and her eyes goes wide seeing the bed so messed up.
"What happened here?" Gauri asks shocked.
Omkara rolls his eyes, "If they are to believe that we did something then the bed can't look neat and tidy, right?"
Gauri chuckles hearing him.
Omkara turns to walk to the bathroom when he spots the condoms packet on the table. He opens the packet and removes the wrapper and puts the wrapper on the floor.
"Can I see?" Gauri asks excitedly as she walked towards him.
"Don't tell me you haven't seen one." Omkara says shocked.
"I haven't." Gauri replies as she took the condoms in her and rubbed it. "Ewww... it feels so..."
"If it has to go in then it needs to be like that." Omkara tells her with a wink.
"Shut up, Omkara!" Gauri says blushing as she turned to look back at the condoms.
"I am glad we picked the same color pen." Gauri tells him smiling.
"Even me." Omkara tells her smiling and then takes out two more condoms.
"Three times in one night? You do think so highly of yourself. Don't you?" Gauri teases him.
"You are so damn hot. They won't believe if I said we just did it once." Omkara tells her as he casually dropped the wrappers on the floor and went to the bathroom to flush the condoms missing out on the blush that crept up her face.
Omkara was packing his bag after his shower when Gauri gently asks him, "Omkara, do you really want to lie to them?"
Omkara looks at her for a while as he thought it over and says, "I understand, Gauri. You being a girl it is going to be difficult. We'll tell them. I was just thinking about myself. When those three guys are hell bent on something it becomes very frustrating. But I realize it is not the same for a guy and girl. We will tell them the truth."
"But they might not believe us." Gauri tells him. "Since we spent the whole night together."
"Hmmm."
"It's okay. We will lie. I can't take one more of Tia's speech on male chauvinism and women's right."
"You sure?" Omkara asks her.
"Yeah." Gauri says smiling. "Anyway it is going to be between just the eight of us."
"Gauri!" Tia knocks on the door.
"We are getting late." Trisha tells her.
Gauri opens the door. "I am ready."
"How was it?" Tia asks her with a naughty smile.
Hearing her, Gauri couldn't control the blush that suddenly filled her face.
"Wow! That good?" Richa asks her amazed.
"Shut up! I'll just get my bag and come. You guys go down." Gauri tells them as she closed the door and turned to look at Omkara.
"Why are you blushing?" Omkara was looking so confused as he asked her that.
"I don't know." Gauri says blushing.
Omkara chuckles hearing her and watches her as she walked to get her overnight back.
"I'll leave?" Gauri asks him.
Omkara looks at her for a while and then just couldn't help it; he walks towards her and gently cups her face. Gauri gasps in shock as he brought his face near hers, his lips a breath away from hers. Omkara looks at her and sees her eyes closed and lips parted. Understanding her silent permission, he leans down and takes her lips in his.
They part slowly after the very sloppy first kiss and both start laughing happily. "I need more practice." Omkara tells her shaking his head.
"Even me." Gauri tells him happily laughing.
"GAURI!" Tia shouts from down.
Gauri sighs loudly, "I need to go. I'll see you later in office."
"Okay... bye." Omkara tells her as he stepped back.
Gauri smiles at him and slowly walks out. As she walked out she saw the other three guys excitedly running into the room Omkara and she shared shouting questions at Omkara. Gauri reaches the main door and turns back to look up at the room and sees Omkara standing near the railing watching her. She waves at him and he waves back as he ignored the shouting from inside the room.
"Aren't you glad that you listened to me?" Tia asks her.
"Yeah I am." Gauri replies.
"So... Omkara is good in bed?" Tia asks her in a whisper.
Gauri didn't know how to reply to that and then says "Yes."
"Very good?"
"Shut up, Tia!" Gauri says blushing.
"That good?" Tia asks surprised.
"God, Tia! Shut it"
"How many times?"
"3."
"Wow! He showed no mercy...huh? It was your first time." Tia says thoughtfully.
"Can you quit it?" Gauri asks her exasperated.
"Fine... fine." Tia says. "We had a great time."
Gauri smiles at her.
"Even you, right?" Tia asks her.
"Best night of my life." Gauri replies shyly.
"Wow!" Tia says surprised.
Gauri turns to look at Omkara's seat and sees it empty. Where did he go? Usually he would be with some girl flirting with her.
"Then what else?" Tia asks her.
"What else?" Gauri asks her back as her thoughts went back to Omkara. Where is he? Just then, someone keeps coffee on her desk; Gauri looks up surprised and sees Omkara walking away as he winked at her.
Gauri blushes as she smiled at him.
Four months later
"Omkara, where are you taking me?" Gauri asks as she tried to see through the blind fold.
"We are almost there." Omkara tells her as he opened the door and stepped in.
"You could have at least let me change. Do you have any idea how heavy this dress is?"
"What? A suhag raat without your bridal dress?" Omkara asks offended.
"This is so heavy."
"I have waited a lot for this day and you are not going to ruin it for me." Omkara tells her as he brought her to her feet.
"I hope it is not as messy as our first kiss." Gauri teases him.
"Now I am a great kisser. Did you forget?" Omkara asks her.
"Yeah, you are." Gauri says blushing. "Can I remove the blind fold? Where are we?"
Omkara removes the cloth covering her eyes and Gauri opens her eyes and finds herself in that bedroom in Vikam's farmhouse she had shared with Omkara which had started their journey to love, companionship and now marriage. The room was decorated in flowers for their suhag raat. Gauri turns to look at Omkara in surprise.
"We owe this room some mindless sex." Omkara tells her grinning.
"It won't be sex." Gauri tells him shyly.
"Love making?"
Gauri nods her head happily and Omkara leans down taking her lips in his kissing her senseless.
