Jong Suk's pov.....!!!
I opened the door, the person was standing in front of the door holding a bottle in his hands and wearing a mask. Meanwhile, my phone started to ring......so, I told Ha Ni to pick up the call and talk. She went to pick the call and I asked the person who is he and what does he wants. He told that, " I am from the Jeju Island and I was returning back home, but suddenly my car stopped because the engine is heated. I took my bottle to pour some cold water to cool the engine, but I was not having the cold water. I searched for shops nearby, but as it's late all were closed. If you don't mind can you give a bottle of water. I need to hurry back home, my mother is not well and I need to take her to the hospital......please give me a bottle of water."
And he held the bottle in front of me. I told that "I don't want your bottle and wait here I will bring the water bottles" I went inside the kitchen and brought two bottles of water while Ha Ni was talking in the phone. I gave those bottles to that person and he thanked me for providing the bottle and told that he would leave now and turned around to walk off. But when he turned, he was having a knife 🔪placed in his pocket. Morning in the news, report was showing that a murderer has escaped from the prison, so I stopped him and asked him, " are you really from Jeju Island? You don't seem to be a good person.... Why are you carrying a knife with you?? If you try to cheat me, I had already reported you to the police.....don't try to escape from me so easily......" He told that he didn't have his supper, so while driving he was eating an apple 🍎, to cut that Apple he was holding a knife with him. I told him, I won't believe his words and held his collar.
He said that he will prove me that he was eating an apple....and opened the knife present in his pocket and showed me the peels of apple. By seeing that, I left his collar and told that I misunderstood him for someone else and showed him the way to the outside. That guy went off in his car. After he was off, I went inside and closed the door. There Ha Ni was sitting on the sofa.....
I told her why did that person come and she nodded for my explanation. I saw the clothes on which she was sat and I was about to give that to her to wear for today. I went near her.... And bend down to take that clothes and when I bent, my face and hers were very near to one another.
At that time, my heart was beating fast than usual. I prayed that heart sound should not be heard to her. I took the clothes which was next to her and gave that to Ha Ni and said, "go and wash up. I know you will not wear a dress of its used for one time. So, for today wear this. While coming back from the college tomorrow, I will bring you the dresses. Take this....." And gave that. She hesitated for few minutes and took that and went inside the washroom.
Until she comes back from the washroom, I went to my room and arranged the bed and the reading table of mine and set the bed ready to sleep after I wash up myself and come. After setting the bed, I came down. Still Ha Ni had not yet come from the bathroom. It was more than 10 minutes, I called her, but she didn't respond to my voice. I was going towards the washroom corridor, but there she was standing outside the bathroom. I saw her, and she tried to run, but I called her and she turned towards me and came near me. By looking at her, for a second my heart fluttered. She was looking as pretty as always in my dress. I told her, " this fits for you......for it's little oversized for you. Looking good in my dress" and smiled at her, even she smiled at me.
I told her to go and sleep and I will come. She said that she is not sleepy and asked me to watch a movie together. I told her we shall watch and be ready with the selection of the movie and I will come and went towards the bathroom. I relaxed myself and came to the living hall.
She asked me which genre movie shall we watch? Horror?? Or Suspense and thriller?? I said anything is fine. She said that we shall watch the Conjuring movie. I agreed to her and I said I will switch off the lights as it will be good to watch the horror movie. We started to watch the movie. Whenever the horror scenes would come, Ha Ni used to close her eyes with her hands and in between the fingers she used to see the ghost. It was good to see her doing that, she looked cute when closed her eyes. Then, she was asking that, did that ghost went?? I was telling it went and she used see the other parts. Most of the time, instead of watching the movie, I was seeing her acting cute. At the end of the movie, Ha Ni was turning around and seeing backside..... I asked her what is it?? She said me to see there and pointed her hand towards the room. There something was shining in the dark. She came little bit next to me and held my hands. I said her that I will switch On the lights and went towards the switch. She said even she will come with me and held my hands tightly. I switched on the light. There we saw a cat 🐈 sitting and staring at us. By seeing that, she suddenly left my hand and went near that. I said her, " this cat will always come to my house at this hour. I will bring milk for that."
I went to the kitchen and brought some milk and kept in front of the cat. She asked me that, " do you stay up at this hour??" I said her that I won't sleep late daily, but at once when this cat came in, I was making a presentation to submit the next day. If I will sleep early, then I will keep the milk and sleep, so that this cat will come and drink the milk and go off. Until it finished drinking, I was looking at that and after that I picked it up and played with it for sometime. Afterwards, it made a sound that I should leave him to go. I left him and it went out.
Then, I turned around and realised that even Ha Ni was there with me, so I apologized to her and told her to go to sleep as it was 3 o'clock in the morning. She said me good night and went to her. I saw her going inside the room and closing the door and then I went to my room. I laid on the bed, I was not sleepy. I tried to sleep as I needed to go to the college tomorrow, but I did not fall asleep. I rolled on my bed from one side to the other, even though I could not fall asleep. So, I woke up to go to washroom thinking that I could sleep later. I came back from washroom, but I couldn't sleep. Then, I looked to my right side to drink water, but I didn't bring my water bottle with me. So, I went to drink water....... There Oh Ha Ni was also standing in front of the fridge and drinking water. I closed my eyes and started walking towards her. She noticed me, but didn't talk anything. So, I asked her why is she here? She told that she wanted to drink water, so she came. And asked me why am I here? I told the same thing. She was going to her room, but I stopped her asking her " why are you not getting sleep?? Why is it because of the new place or the bed?? Your eyes are swollen...." She told that maybe and not to worry about her and went to her room.
I took the water bottle and headed upstairs. I went to my room and covered myself with the blanket and just closed my eyes thinking that I need to sleep now.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Oh Ha Ni waking me up and told me that she has kept a cup of coffee next to me and went downstairs. This was the first morning, someone waking me up with a small smile on their face after my mother passed away. I wished that I will be going to have a great day today and went to get ready for the college. And I was willing to this kind of things happening daily........ I actually liked this way of her coming to me to wake me up. This took her one step ahead in my heart where my mother was there.
