"I will not marry her!" Omkara says with finality as he tried to glare down his parents.
He was successful with his mother but failed miserably with his father.
"You have always known that you would have to marry Gauri. Your marriage has been fixed with her since your childhood!" Shakti angrily reminds him.
"Without my consent!" Omkara reminds him.
"I gave my word to Tej that my son will marry his daughter. Today he is coming with his family to stay here for a few days so you and Gauri can get to know each other better. Once we fix a wedding date, you'll be marrying her! And don't go anywhere; I want you to be here to receive them." Shakti tells him and walks away angrily and Pinky follows him.
"That didn't go well!" Rudra says chuckling.
"Shut up!" Omkara furiously tells him.
"Come on, bhaiyya! Meet her, you might like her."
"I won't!!"
"I found her quite pretty. If you want I will get her photo from Dad." Rudra tells him grinning knowing his brother was so close to strangling him.
"I don't want to see her, I won't marry her!" Omkara tells him and walks off.
Omkara fumed as he thought about Gauri. He hated her. Ever since he was small he has been hearing about his engagement with Gauri. He had seen her only a handful of times in his life and his parents expect him to marry her. It had been years since he last saw her, she was some 5 years old and he was 8 years. He vaguely remembered her, they were friends and used to play together. He even remembered them playing and enacting their marriage knowing they would be getting married when they grew up. He remember vaguely how after attending a wedding, he wanted to get married like that and he had told Gauri that he wanted to get married like that, and she used to do anything he told her to and they got married with Rudra being Pundit screaming out some gibberish phrases. He had liked her then but he had grown up and had his first crush. That was when he realized Gauri was a shackle on his legs. He started rebelling ever since then refusing to talk to her, meet her or even see her photos which regularly were send to him. He just hated her for forcing him into a life that he didn't want.
He hears his cell ringing and looks at it in irritation and then seeing the caller he smiles and picks up the phone, "Tia, my darling!"
"Your darling? When did that happen?" Tia asks laughing.
"Please save my life!"
"Your fiancé is coming home today, right?" Tia asks chuckling.
"Don't say that!"
"Then how about coming to my house? We have a party here!"
"Awesome, will be right there!" Omkara says grinning, Dad wanted him to stay back home and receive Gauri and he would show him how serious he was when he meant he will not marry Gauri.
Gauri eagerly looks around for Omkara. She just couldn't control herself anymore. She was dying to meet him, the man she loved above all. Suddenly she feels someone jumping towards her and casually sitting on the armrest of her couch with his hand resting at the back.
"Looking for anyone, bhabhi?" Rudra asks in a teasing tone.
Gauri blushes as she looked down at her hand.
"He is not here!" Rudra whispers to her.
Gauri feels her heart breaking, she hadn't slept for a week in anticipation of meeting him and he wasn't here to receive her.
"He has gone for his best friend's party. He told me to take you there." Rudra tells her secretly.
Gauri looks at him happily realizing that Omkara might have had some big reason for not being here to receive her.
"Dad, Bhabhi and I are going out for a while." Rudra tells his father. "I will show her around since she is new here!" Without waiting to hear anything from his parents, he pulls her up and drags her away.
Rudra stops the car in front of Tia's house.
"Bhabhi, you go inside. Bhaiyya will be waiting for you. I'll park and come." Rudra tells her.
Gauri was nervous in going inside a stranger's house alone but then Omkara was waiting inside and she was dying to meet him, she nods and gets out of the car.
Rudra watches Gauri walking inside and quickly dials Tia's number, "She is coming in." Rudra informs her.
Meanwhile inside, Omkara was enjoying himself.
"Let's play spin the bottle!" Tia says excitedly.
"Oh Crap!" Omkara says not interested.
"Oh! I forgot, you can't kiss anyone." Tia teases him.
"Why?" Ragini asks frowning.
"Because he is booked! Finally his fiancé is coming to claim her man!" Tia teases him.
"Shut up! She is not my fiancée!" Omkara tells her angrily.
"Then why are you not playing spin the bottle?"
"Because I don't like kissing random people!" Omkara tells her irritated.
"Because of Gauri." Tia adds.
"NO! Let's play then." Omkara says angrily.
"Relax! You don't have to play." Tia tells him.
"We will play!"
"We won't play, but if you want to prove to us that Gauri means nothing to you, then kiss the girl I tell you to."
Omkara frowns at her, he didn't like that but he had to prove it to everyone that Gauri meant nothing to him.
"Which girl?" Omkara asks.
"Let me have a look around." Tia says as she casually walked around. Her cell rings and she picks the call.
"She is coming in." Rudra tells her.
"Okay but if this prank of yours backfires, I am not responsible and if Omkara finds out then I'll tell him you made me do it!" Tia tells him.
"He won't!" Rudra promises her.
Tia hangs up and walks towards Omkara keeping her eye at the entrance for Gauri then she sees her enter. Tia starts smiling approvingly, Gauri was prettier in real than photo, Omkara will never stand a chance.
"I want you to kiss her!" Tia tells Omkara pointing at Gauri.
Omkara turns to look at the girl and sees a very beautiful girl nervously looking around for someone. It was like an instant attraction for him and without even realizing he starts walking towards her.

Gauri stops the moment she spotted him. He was walking towards her smiling at her. She shyly smiles back at him as her heart beat fast. Omkara walks towards her smiling and stops right in front of her.
"Hi!" Omkara says smiling at her.
"Hi!" Gauri replies breathlessly.
"You are so beautiful." Omkara tells her.
Gauri starts blushing even more.
"Do you mind if I kiss you?" Omkara asks.
"WHA..." Gauri starts to ask in shock and he cuts her off as he took her lips in his and started kissing her.
He was about to break the kiss and move away when she pulls him back towards her kissing him. Omkara was expecting her to slap him for kissing her like that but he was surprised when she kissed him back, and God, did she know to kiss or what?
They continued to kiss for a while and then slowly parted when they heard people cheering for them. Gauri looks at him blushing happily. She always had the fear that he might not want to marry her as she was a complete stranger to him but now that was put to rest, just like her even he was waiting for their marriage. He couldn't even control himself and had kissed her in front of everyone. Gauri blushes thinking of how she had kissed him back.
"And now you are blushing." Omkara says grinning.
She continues to blush. He was going crazy; he didn't know this girl but was feeling a magnetic pull towards her and to top it off there was this song. He wondered if this was the love at first sight people talked about.
"Kuch Toh Hai Tujhse Raabta" Omkara tells her as he took her hand in his and he smiles happily as she holds his hand back.
He just couldn't help it and leans down and kisses her on the temple and starts kissing her down to her lips as she blushed.
"People are watching." Gauri shyly tells him as she noticed many looking there way.
"Do you want to go somewhere else, er..." Omkara chuckles realizing he didn't know her name and smiles seeing her nodding in yes and she looks down blushing further.
"I am so crazy. I didn't get your name yet. I am Omkara Singh Oberoi, and you are..." Omkara tells her grinning.
Gauri who was happily blushing as she looked down stops in shock hearing his question. Her face turns into shock as she stopped breathing. Didn't he know who she was? Then why did he kiss her? Did he kiss girls he didn't know? She could feel her heart breaking, piece by piece, she had thought him to be a saint and he was...
"Is there a problem?" Omkara asks seeing the change in her expression.
She simply kept staring at him in shock.
"Damn!" Omkara says as his phone started ringing, "My dad. I need to take this. Just a sec." Omkara tells her and turns to answer the phone. "Yeah Dad?... I am busy now and I am not coming home... I don't care about this stupid Gauri! You tell her to pack her bags and go home. There is no use waiting for me! tell her that I hate her! I am not coming..."
Gauri didn't wait to hear the rest, she ran out.
Rudra who had been happily watching his brother romancing his infamous fiancé starts frowning seeing Gauri running out and he hurries after her.
"Bhabhi!" Rudra catches hold of her.
Gauri turns to him with tears running down her face.
"Did bhaiyya say something?" Rudra asks worried.
"He doesn't even know me! He hates me!" Gauri cries as she burst out into tears.
"He likes you, bhabhi. I have never seen him like that with any girl." Rudra tells her feeling guilty for her tears.
"I want to go." Gauri begs him.
Anyway bhai would be coming home, they will sort it out at home. "Okay, let's go. But please stop crying."
Gauri was walking back to her room like a zombie. She still couldn't believe what had happened. Omkara had taken her to cloud nine and heartlessly pushed her down from there.
"Gauri..." she hears Shakti calling her lovingly.
Quickly pasting a smile on her face she walks towards the hall.
Omkara stood there fuming at his father. This was the worst day of his life. That girl had left without a word. He had gone around the whole party like a stupid fool looking for her, even Tia didn't know who the girl was, just kept telling him to go back home. He drove around Tia's house to find the girl but there was no trace of her. Then his father had called him repeatedly to come home. Now he was home and his father was done introducing him to Tej and Jhanvi, now he was going to introduce Gauri, as if he wanted to meet her. Then he heard her, "Yes uncle?" he looks at her in shock realizing finally who his mystery girl was.
"Omkara is here." Shakti tells her smiling.
He sees the blood draining from her face as she turned to face him in dread. He angrily glares at her realizing why she had panicked earlier, when he had told her his name she had then realized who she had kissed.
Feeling everyone's eyes on her Gauri gently nods her head towards Omkara. He continues to glare at her.
Gauri wanted to cry her heart out, she had dreamt of building her whole life around him and he hated her. She just couldn't stay there for a moment longer.
"Mama, I am tired. I'll go sleep?" Gauri asks her mother.
"Yes." Jhanvi says smiling at her.
Gauri had cried herself to sleep. She was woken up by the knocking. She opens the door wondering who could it be at this hour and gets shocked seeing Omkara at the door. He smiles at her cruelly.
"I wondered why you ran away. Now I realize." Omkara tells her as he walked into her room. "So this is what you normally do?" Omkara asks.
Gauri looks at him confused as she tried her best to control her tears. Just looking at him was breaking her heart.
"Going to parties and kissing random guys?" Omkara furiously asks her.
Gauri didn't even have the energy to reply to him. And she knew if she opened her mouth instead of the words, the cry she has been holding in would come out.
Seeing her silently staring at him he continues, "I don't want to marry a girl like you. And my parents won't believe me if I told them how you had kissed me thinking I was just a stranger. So, tomorrow morning you are going to call off this wedding else I will make you regret marrying me!" with that threat he walks out.
Next day morning, Omkara hears a commotion from the living room and goes there to investigate wondering if Gauri had told her parents that she wanted to call off the wedding. He sees Jhanvi aunty crying while Tej uncle was furiously screaming at his father.
"What is happening here?" Omkara asks shocked.
"We can't find Gauri!" Shakti answers.
"What do you mean you can't find her? She should be here somewhere." Omkara says suddenly fear gripping his heart.
"Watchman saw her go out last night and she is not back yet." Pinky informs him.
"WHAT?" Omkara asks shocked.
"I am sorry, Omkara. You were right. You don't have to marry a girl none of us truly know. Don't know where she has gone off to or to meet whom." Shakti says in disgust.
"Don't you dare say anything about my daughter!" Tej screams out angrily.
"My Gauri is not like that. Something might have happened otherwise she would never leave like that. There is no one in her life other than Omkara. Ever since she was a small girl she has loved only you, Omkara." Jhanvi tells Omkara in tears.
The blood drains from Omkara's face as a thought suddenly occurred to him, what if she knew it was him and that is the reason she had kissed him? What if she had kissed him because she was in love with him?
"I want my daughter." Jhanvi wails.
"I'll bring her back." Omkara promises her and was about to walk out when Rudra walks in with Gauri.
"Found her! She was walking around on the road."
"Gauri.." Jhanvi says happily as she hurried to her and hugs her.
"Where did you go off to? And why did you go like that? Do you know how worried I was?"
"Where did you go, Gauri? What happened?" Tej asks her as he hugged his daughter.
Gauri looks at Omkara, she sadly looks at him for a while then turning to her mother she cries, "I don't want to marry him, Mama. I don't want this marriage."
Omkara felt as if someone had just pulled out his heart from his body.
"But Bhabhi..."
"Don't call me bhabhi! I am not your bhabhi!" Gauri tells Rudra crying.
"But Gauri, you love Omkara, right?" Jhanvi asks shocked.
"I don't want this marriage. I want to go home. Please." Gauri begs as she cried falling on the floor.
Omkara helplessly looks at Gauri filled with guilt and heart break.
Seeing his daughter's heartbroken sobs Tej scoops her up and hugs her "If you don't want to marry him, then you don't have to." Turning to Shakti, Tej informs him "We are leaving."
Few minutes later they were ready to leave with all the bags packed.
Omkara felt his heart breaking yet again watching her leave. "Gauri..." Omkara calls out to her.
She stops and turns to look at him. Omkara didn't know what to tell her, how to explain to her. Seeing him simply looking at her, she turns to her father and says "Let's go, Papa."
Gauri was waiting at the railway station resting her head on her mother's shoulders. She wipes her tears as she thought about Omkara and her foolish feelings for all these years.
"Gauri..." Omkara calls her and Gauri looks up in shock to find Omkara with his family standing in front of her.
Seeing them Gauri slowly stands up and her parents follow suit.
"Don't go."
Gauri stares at him in shock.
"Come back home."
"You don't have to do this, Omkara. And I don't blame you, not everyone is willing to marry their parent's choice. You don't have to do that. You should marry someone of your choice." Gauri tells him thinking his parents have forced him to come there.
"You are my choice now, Gauri."
"What?"
"I think I am falling in love with you." Omkara tells her as tears welled up in his eyes.
"No." Gauri says shaking her head not believing him.
"Since the moment I set my eyes on you yesterday, I became yours." Omkara tells her.
"You told me to call off the wedding."
"Because I was jealous."
"What?" Gauri asks shocked.
"I thought you kissed me not knowing who I was."
"Kiss? What kiss?" Tej asks suddenly.
"Ssshhh. All in good time." Shakti pats him on his hand asking him to keep quiet.
"I came there to meet you." Gauri tells him remembering his accusation.
"Rudra told me. And I was not aware that Mom used to send you my photos. I was jealous. I thought while you were engaged to me you were kissing other people. And I was feeling possessive and I was falling for you. I just didn't know what I was doing." Omkara explains.
"You were the one who didn't know who you were kissing!" Gauri angrily tells him. "And that was fine!" Gauri angrily accuses him.
"I never considered the engagement but the thought that even you didn't consider it, it hurt me. I just couldn't take it. Call me a chauvinist." Omkara says grinning as he said the last line. "I want only you in my life. I am sorry. Please don't leave me."
"How would I know you wouldn't go kissing other girls again?"
"Kuch Toh Hai Tujhse Raabta." Omkara sings to her.
Gauri just couldn't hold her smile in hearing him sing that line, that too so awfully.
Seeing her smile Shakti turns to Tej and says, "Sorry dost. I shouldn't have said what I said."
"All I care about is Gauri's happiness." Tej smiles seeing Gauri taking a step towards Omkara.
Seeing her smiling at him Omkara takes her hands in his. "Thank you, Gauri. I am sorry I hurt you. I was stupid."
"You were!" Gauri smiles at him happily realizing her dreams were coming true.
Omkara rests his forehead on hers and promises "I will never make you regret marrying me."
"I will make sure of it!!" Gauri arrogantly tells him.
Omkara chuckles and starts rubbing his nose with hers.
"What are you doing?" Gauri asks laughing.
"I want to kiss you but can't kiss you in front of your parents. So I'm kissing you like this." Omkara tells her as he continued to rub his nose with hers.
"Move away! Away from her! No kissing before marriage!" Tej orders.
Omkara sighs and was about to pull away when Gauri holds his collar and pulls him back towards her, and starts rubbing her nose with his.
"What are you doing?" Omkara asks laughing.
"I want to kiss you back but can't kiss you in front of your parents. So I'm kissing you like this." Gauri tells him happily.
