HAWKINS BLEEDING! CHAPTER TWENTY TWO:
When Stephenie woke up she felt like she was moving. The sound off a car— but the pounding in her head was pretty loud too. she was on top of someone, but she questioned the first person her mind could go to. "Steve?" She questioned quietly
"Nancy?" Steve said, looking at Mike
"No, I'm Stephenie"
"oh hey Steph" Stephenie looked down at her arm. she was supposed to get it off soon but she might need it after punching Billy with it. Stephenies face hurt like hell, and she went to touch it with her hand.
"Hey guys, don't touch your face" Dustin said "you put up a good fight but he kicked both your asses"
"Okay your going to keep straight for half a mile then make a left on mount sinai" Stephenie and Steve looked up to see Max and Lucas in the front seat
"Holy shit" Stephenie and Steve started freaking out
"Pull over!" Steve yelled
"I told you they'd freak out!" Mike exclaimed
"Everyone shut up! I'm trying to focus!" Max yelled back at them— Everyone was screaming, mostly Steve and Stephenie
"Stop the car!"
they came to a stop in a field.
"Hello!" Steve screamed
"Told you. Zoomer" Max said
"Incredible"
Stephenie and Steve got out of the car last, Stephenie throwing up beside the car
"Guys. Guys—Hey, where are you going, Hey, are you deaf. We are not going down there I made myself clear"
Stephenie joined them and got gear on
"Stephenie you are not going Down there!"
And Stephenie ignored Steve and went to the hole where Mike stood
"He really beat your ass"
"I couldn't let Steve take all the hits"
They all got in the hole and started heading the right way
"Hey, If any of you little shits die down here I'm getting the blame, got it dipshit, from here on out I'm leading the way all right let's go, come on. A little hustle!" Stephenie was holding onto Mike while she was walking, she still wasn't thinking straight.
"Hey mike" she said
"Yeah Steph?"
"I'm really sorry I didn't tell you about El, Hopper said it would put you in a lot of danger, I didn't want that"
"It's okay, at least we have her now"
After a few second of silence Stephenie spoke again
"Mike"
"Yeah"
"What am I in the party?"
"What do you mean?"
"Like wills the paladin, and your the rogue, what am I?"
"Uh I'm not sure, Dustin?" Stephenie looked back at Dustin
"Um maybe a mystic or monk? They do unarmed combat"
"Oh, so like fighting with there fists? That's cool"
After setting it on fire they head back to the hole but are stopped by dart.
"Oh shit" Stephenie hid behind Steve
Dustin moved closer "hey buddy, it's me dustin. Will you let us pass?"
Dart growled "guess that's a no"
"Hey, You want some nougat?" Dustin gave him negate and They all ran by quietly
They were all just about up the hole only leaving Stephenie and Steve down there and they got Dustin up. They heard running.
"Oh no. There coming" Stephenie spoke as Dustin reached the top
"Get up there, now"
"Steve I can't leave you down here"
"I'll be fine Steph, I need you safe"
But they were to late, the monsters came running through. Stephenie hugged Steve and closed her eyes.
After a few seconds Stephenie opened her eyes to see the monsters running right passed them
"Eleven" mike said
They all stood at the headlights of the car covering there eyes.
ONE MONTH LATER
'Since the release of the incendiary tape, the once quiet town of Hawkins, Indiana has spent time in a place they never expected, the national spotlight, under mounting pressure, several high ranking members from the U.S department of energy had admired involvement in death and cover up of Hawkins resident, Barbra Holland, who does due to exposure to an experimental chemical asphyxiant, witch had leaked from the grounds of the lab, we sent our own, April Kline to Hawkins to speak to residents,residents who told us, they thought they lived in a safe town, the kind of town they say, nothing ever happens.'
"Dip shits got what was coming for them" Stephenie Laughed on the couch with her legs up on the table
"Yeah finally" Steve agreed sitting next to her
"so, are you ready for tomorrow night?"
"I'm a bit nervous" Stephenie admited
"Ah don't be nervous, you'll be fine"
Will had asked her to the snowball
a week after the incident.
Stephenie and Will were in Wills bedroom listening to the new Madonna mixtape Jonathan made
for Stephenie. She danced around, mumbling
the words of the song.
'You just keep pushing my love over the borderline'
"Hey Steph?" Will said making Stephenie stop dancing and look at him
"Yeah Will?" She said walking over to him
"Y-You Know how T-There's the snowball in a few weeks?" He asked stammering over his words
"Yeah" Stephenie nodded
"I was wondering if you want to go with me, y-you don't have to b-but-"
"Will" Stephenie interrupted him
"What"
"I would love to go to the snowball with you"

The next night Stephenie was getting ready for the snowball she wore a dress with a black long sleeve and a green and red plain pattern of the skirt (it's at the top of the screen) and some black flats, she had just got her cast off 3 days ago.
Stephenie came downstairs and saw Steve waiting for her. He looked up at her a a small smile came across his face
"Steven, I swear if you say anything"
"I was going to say, you look good" Steve said smiling at his younger sister, how did he miss her growing up?
"Before we go I have something for you" Steve said running to get a gift "here"
Stephenie opened it and inside was a new skate board. "thank you" Stephenie hugged immediately.
"Anyways, we gotta pick up Dustin on the way. He asked me to drive him, I'm kinda like his mentor? Cool right?" Steve asked
"Yeah, that's cool" Stephenie smiled
When they got to Dustin's he came out and got in the car, Stephenie and Steve looked back at him
"Woah" Stephenie said
"Does it look bad?" Dustin panics
"No, it just looks, different, a good different!" Stephenie reassured
They got to the school and Stephenie turned to dustin, along with Steve
"Here we are" Steve said "so remember, when you get in there"
"pretend like I don't care" dustin said
"You don't care"
"I don't care"
"I'm not sure that makes sense" Stephenie muttered
"There you go, your learning my friend- your learning"
Dustin looked in the mirror seeing how he looked, Stephenie covered it
"Hey, come on" she said
"you look great okay? You look great" Steve said, Stephenie nodded in agreement
"Your gonna go in there" Steve siad
"Yup"
"Look like a million bucks"
"Yeah"
"And your gonna slay em dead"
"Like a lion" Dustin said before making a weird gurgling noise, Stephenie looked at Dustin
"Uh, don't do that, okay?" Stephenie said
"Okay"
"Good luck" Steve said, Dustin nodded before leaving the car and walking up to the School,
Stephenie watched before turning to Steve who was looking in the school. She followed his eyes to see Nancy
"Hey" Stephenie said "I told to stop doing that"
"What?"
"Starring at Nancy. I know it's hard but I don't want to see you mopping over a girl. Your a Harrington. Your better than whatever girl try's to break your heart." Stephenie said
Steve nodded, then he gave Stephenie a talk.
"Look, I don't want to be that older brother but I mean it when I say it. be safe"
"Of course" Stephenie smiled
"Have fun" Steve said as Stephenie got out of the car and walked up to the school
"Ah Ms Harrington, it's nice to see you tonight"
"Glad to be here" she said turning into the Gym. It was decorated for Christmas obviously, blue streamers and silver decorations as well.
Immediately Stephenie looked for the group and saw them at the back talking with Dustin and walked over confidently. Mike waved at her and she walked over
"Don't you look rather handsome Mike" Stephenie teased and Mike nudged her shoulder a bit
"You don't look to bad yourself" Mike said and he caught glimpse of Will who was in the middle of a conversation with Dustin, Lucas and Max, although not paying much attention as he was looking over at Stephenie
"Go talk to him" Mike said and slightly pushed her over to Wills direction
Will stepped out of the group towards Stephenie "you look p-pretty" he stuttered nervously
"Thank you" Stephenie blushed "you look... really good" even she felt herself get a little flustered but tried to play it off
Suddenly it changed to a slow song called "Every Breath You Take" and everyone started to slow dance in pairs.
"D-Do you want to dance?" Will asked shyly
"of course" Stephenie said. She grabbed his hand and went to the dance floor putting her hands around Wills shoulders. She now realized how tall Will had actually gotten.
"You got taller Byers?" They both laughed and then Stephenie noticed Mike sitting alone.
"Do you think she's coming?"
"Who?"
"El"
"Maybe, if hopper lets her"
"Ya" she said looking back at Will. The song changed and eventually she say Mike and Eleven dancing, Max and Lucas dancing and to her surprise, Dustin and Nancy.

Stephenie decided to take a leap of faith and lean in bit, catching wills attention and making him lean forward hesitantly, the next thing Stephenie knew. They kissed
'I keep crying baby, baby, please'
Stephenie leaned her head on Wills shoulder not wanting him to see how red she was, they danced the rest of the night and had so much fun.
Everything was at peace,
but not for long
