HAWKINS BLEEDING! CHAPTER TWENTY ONE:
BILLY VS THE HARRINGTON'S

Steve and Dustin were putting the dead demagorgan in the freezer, Steve had it wrapped in a blanket so the slime wouldn't touch him.
"I'm not explaining that to Joyce" Stephanie yelled from the living room. She watched as Mike passed back and forth worriedly.
"Mike will you stop already" Lucas asked
"You weren't in there, okay Lucas? That place is swarming with hundreds of those dogs"

"Demo-dogs" Dustin corrected from the kitchen and Stephenie rolled her eyes
"Shut up Dustin!" Stephenie yelled
"The chief will take care of her!" Lucas exclaimed

"Like she needs protection" Max muttered
"Okay kid, coach calls a play, bottom line you execute it. All right?" Steve came in with a towel on his shoulder. Stephenie looked at Steve— he just used a sports reference with a bunch of guys who don't know how to throw a ball

"Okay first of all this isn't some stupid sports game and second, we're not even in the game, we're on the bench" Mike said
"So my point is..." Steve trailed off "right ya, we're on the bench, so, uh—theres nothing we can do"

"That's not entirely true, these demo dogs, they have a hive mind. At the bus they were called away" Dustin explained
"If we get there attention"
"Maybe we can draw them away from the lab"
"Clear a path to the gate" Stephenie said

"Yeah, and then we all die!" Steve yelled
"That's one point of view" Dustin muttered
"No, That's not a point of view man, that's a fact" Steve stated

"I got it" Mike said, walking towards the kitchen and following the blue tunnels Will had drawn "This is where the chief dug his hole, this is our was into the tunnels." Mike pointed to a place where all the tunnels meet "So over this, this is the hub, you got all the tunnels feeding into here. Maybe if we set this on fire"
"Oh yeah, that's a no"

"The mind flayer would call away His army"
"They'd all come to Stop us"
"Hey" Steve tried to get their attention
"Then we circle back to the exit" Stephenie said

"Guys"
"By the time they relies were gone" Stephenie said again
"El would be at the gate" Max finished

"Hey, hey hey." Steve clapped his hands loudly, finally getting their attention "This isn't happening"
"But—" Mike tried to say
"no, no no no no. No buts, I promised I would keep you shit heads safe and that's exactly what I plan on doing. We're staying here, on the bench and we're waiting for the starting team to do there job, does everyone understand that"

"Steve this isn't a sports game" Stephenie bitched at him
"I said does everybody under stand that, I need a Yes" Steve looked between the five of them who had annoyed looks on their face before an engine sounded out in front of the house. Max ran to the window for a minute before turning back to face the group.

"Oh no, it's my brother, he can't know I'm here. He'll kill me. He'll kill us"

They watched as Steve went out to Billy to try and get him to leave. They couldn't hear them but after about two minutes of them talking back and forth, Billy turned and made direct eye contact with Stephanie and they all jumped behind the couch

"Shit did he see us"
"He definitely saw me" Stephenie got up a bit to peek over the couch and saw Billy push Steve over— they all ran to the door and Billy came pushing in with anger.

"Well, Well, Well, Lucas Sinclair what a surprise." Billy scowled "I thought I told you to stay away from him huh, Max?"
"Billy go away" Max said
"You disobeyed me. And you know what happens when you disobey me"
"Billy"

"I break things" Billy went to attack Lucas and pushed him against the wall
"Billy Stop!" Max exclaimed
"Billy"
"Stop it" Stephenie ran behind Billy and kicked up his legs to get him away from Lucas

Billy turned to face her, and a shit eating grin came upon his face, and Stephenie attempted to stand her ground against him.
"Oh, if it isn't Stephenie Harrington" he said loudly "I thought you'd be a pussy like your brother—but your dead Harrington, dead"
Steve came from behind Billy and turned him around

"No you are" Steve said before punching Billy right in the face
"Steve!" Stephenie exclaimed. Billy got up laughing as Max and Dustin comfort Lucas while Stephenie and Mike watched what was about to unfold in front of them.

"Looks like you got some fire in ya after all huh Harrington!" Billy exclaimed "I've been waiting to meet this king Steve everyone's been telling me so much about"
"Get out" Steve said before ducking to avoid Billy's punch, then Steve got up and punched him again

"Yes, Steve. Kick his ass!" Dustin yelled
"Get him!"
"Murder the son of a bitch"
"Now! now!"
"Get that shit head" Billy took a plate and smashed it on Steve's head
"Steve!"
"Billy!"

Billy came over to Steve again
"Nobody tells me what to do" Billy said before hitting his head against Steve's, and throwing him onto the ground.
"Steve!" Stephenie exclaimed

Billy got on top of Steve and started to punch Him, and Steve definitely didn't have a chance now so Stephanie took a deep breath, before walking towards the two— Mike tried to grab her but she kept going.

She looked at her cast. So much for having it taken off in 3 days. She looked at Billy before punching him in the back of the head making him stop. Billy stood up and turned around

"You shouldn't have don't that" Billy grabbed Stephenie by her sweater and punched her across the face making her wince
"Stephenie!" The group exclaimed
"Stephenie run!" Stephanie grunted before standing quickly and punching him, making him stumble.

Stephenie stood with a fearful look on her face, before Billy came at her again and she dove out of the way before hitting him— and went to again but Billy grabbed her arm and shoved her to the ground that was close to Steve.

Billy started to punch her really hard, a few times as Stephenies vision went blurry. She saw red hair behind Billy for a second and Billy getting off of her. Stephenie let out small breathes that were really uneven as she heard metal hit the floor

"I said do you understand! Say it. Say it!" Max's voice yelled and a couple seconds later she saw four heads above her before she blacked out.
