"Then he said he— he missed me, and then he just hung up" El explained what Mike had said to her on the phone this morning as Max paced in front of her and Stephenie sat beside her. "He's a piece of shit" Stephenie told El

"What?" El questioned

"Mike doesn't have jack shit to do today, and his nana obviously isn't sick" Stephenie explained to El

"I guarantee you, him and Lucas are playing Atari right now" Max said
"But...friends don't lie"
"Ya—well, boyfriends lie. All. the. time" Max sat down on the other side of El

"Your going to stop calling him, ignore all his calls,as far as your concerned, he doesn't exist" Max said
"Doesn't exist?"

"He treated you like garbage! Now your going to treat him like garbage. give him a taste of his own medicine" Stephenie said
"Give him the medicine" El repeated, Stephanie nodded her head.

"And if he doesn't fix this? If he doesn't explain himself, dump his ass" Max said
"Come on" Stephanie said grabbing the two girls hands

"Where are we going?" El asked
"To have some fun. There's more to life the stupid boys you know"

El, Stephanie and Max got off the bus at Starcourt mall.
"So, what do you think?" Stephenie asked
"Hey what's wrong" Max asked, seeing El sad expression

"To many people, against the rules" El said
"Seriously, you have super powers, what's the worst that could happen?" Stephenie grabbed Max and El and dragged them in the mall.

"So what should we do first?" Stephenie asked as El turned in a circle, taking in this new place. She hadn't been allowed out of the house a lot except when she would hangout with Mike and the party— or sleepover at Stephenies... which was rare.

"You've never been shopping before, have you" Max asked El and she shook her head
"Well I guess were just going to have to try everything" Stephenie said
"Ooo, come on" Max said grabbing El and Stephenie and running into the Gap.

Max and Stephenie watched as El walked around the store, this was new to her.
El stopped at a t shirt on display.
"Do you like that?" Max asked
"How do I know, what I like?"
"You just try things on, until you find something that feels like, you"
"Like, me?"

"Yeah. Not hopper, not mike. You"

Stephenie andMax helped El find clothes and she tried them on. Max held up 2 belts for El to choose from. Max gave El and belt and she span around in circles, then falling into Stephenie and Max's arms laughing. Max put on pairs of glasses while Stephenie tried to find a pair to go with her new outfit, a red polo shirt and white washed mom jeans.
They finally found what they wanted and checked out, El and Stephenie were wearing there new outfits and Max was wearing her new sunglasses. They walked down the mall with linked arms while giggling.

"That's it girls. Okay, here we go" they took some pictures "wardrobe change, wardrobe change thank you" and they took some more. "Shake it, shake it off for me"

The girls went into a shoe store and put on heals, struggling to walk in them then falling to the ground, laughing so hard, not even noticing the dirty glances from Stacy and her friends. They all looked at each other, before laughing again.

Later they found Stacy again, talking to a guy with her friends. El looked at her, narrowing her eyes using her powers to make her smoothie explode on everything around her. They girls laughed and ran away.
