HAWKINS BLEEDING! CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR:
DUSTINS HOME!

When they arrived at Dustin's they set everything up and started to wait. Stephenie had her walkie but turned it off as soon as Dustin was in range. They planned on ignoring him until he got home. Stephenie kept lookout for a bit then saw the car pull in the drive way. "He's here!" Stephenie yelled, and they all ran behind the wall. They heard Dustin walk in and go to his room then El started to use her powers to make Dustin's toys move, once he got out into the living room they stopped. Stephenie, Will, Mike, El, Lucas and Max went out behind Dustin with the banner they had made that said 'Welcome Home Dustin!'

Max counted down from three with her fingers and they blew the noise makers, Dustin turned around and screamed spraying Lucas with a bottle of Farrah Fawcett Spray causing Stephenie to flinch behind Will for minute as Lucas let out a high pitched squeal before Stephenie covered her eyes and walked towards Dustin to grab the can

"Okay— okay! Jesus Dustin" Stephenie exclaimed as she took the can from Dustins hand and both boys stopped their screaming

"We should've added protective goggles to the plan" Stephenie grabbed the lid out of Dustins other hand as well, closing the hair spray bottle

"I'm sorry" Dustin said "I thought you guys forgot about me!" He exclaimed

"How could we forget about you?" Will asked
"Yeah, it's not like you tell us random science facts every five minutes" Stephenie snickered

"Eyes—burning— water" Lucas said as he squinted and waved his hands at his eyes— Max sighed and grabbed his arm

"Here, lets get you cleaned up" Max said taking Lucas to the kitchen to wash out his eyes.

"I call it... the forever clock, all right? Powered by wind, very useful in the apocalypse" Dustin said as Will, Stephenie, Mike and El stood in his room while he showed them the inventions he had made at camp. He gave the invention to Will, making him look at it in awe, Stephanie smiled at how cute Will was.

"I give you, the slammer" he said extending his arm towards El and Mike making El move back behind him slightly.

"Pretty neat, huh?" He asked "But this, this is my master piece" he said taking out a big duffle bag "I would like you to meet, cerebro"

"What exactly are we looking at here?" Mike questioned

"An unassembled, one of a kind, battery powered, radio tower!" Dustin said

"So.. it's a..." Stephenie trailed off

"ham radio?" Will finished her sentence

"The Cadillac, of ham radios, this baby has a crystal, clear connection over vast distances. I'm talking North Pole, to south. I can talk to my girlfriend whenever and wherever I choose"

Stephenies mouth opened slightly and looked at Will, Mike and El who had the same look on their faces—then they looked to Dustin again.

"Girlfriend?" They questioned is sync

"Wait, so her name is Suzie? Mike asked as they carried all the supplies for Dustins ham radio through Dustins house
"Suzie with a 'z' she's from Utah" Dustin said matter 'o' factly

"Girls go to science camp?"
"Apparently" Stephenie sighed, why would anyone go to science camp? It was okay but she wouldn't use her free time for it.
"Suzie does, she's a genius"
"Is she cute?" Mike asked

"Think phoebe Kate's, only hotter"
"What's going on?" Max questioned, making Lucas pull his head out of the sink. Will and Stephenie stopped
"We're going to talk to Dustin's girlfriend" Will said excitedly

"Girlfriend?" They said
"Apparently She's hotter than Phoebe Kates— if that's possible" Stephenie shrugged before leaving, Max and Lucas not far after

As Stephenie walked up the huge hill— the biggest hill in Hawkins actually, she had sweat dripping from her forehead and panted. Dustin didn't seem fazed at all though, still happy and all cheery to show them his new girlfriend.

"Are we high enough?"
"Cerebro works best at 100 meters"
"I'm pretty sure people in Utah have phones" Stephenie groaned

"Suzies morman"
"Shit, she doesn't have electricity?"
"That's the Amish" Stephenie corrected with a 'duh' tone

"What's are mormans?" Max asked
"Super religious white people, they have electricity and stuff but since I'm not morman her parents would never approve. It's all a bit, Shakespearian"

"Shakespearian?" Max asked
"Yeah, like Romeo and Juliet"
"Right"
"Star crossed lovers?"
"I got it"

"Hey guys!" Mike yelled up the hill. they turned around to see El and Mike slightly down the hill than the others
"This is fun and all but uh" Mike said pointing at his watch

"I have to go home" El said and Stephenie tilted her head slightly and scrunched her lip— they hadn't even been with the group that long and they are already ditching.
"We're almost there!" Dustin exclaimed
"Sorry man, curfew, come on let's go"
"Good luck" El said before turning away down the hill.

The rest looked at the couple as they made their way down the hill
"Curfew? At four?"  Dustin questioned
"You really believe them?" Stephenie asked
"They're lying" Lucas said
"It's been like this all summer"
"It's romantic" Max suggested
"It's gross" Will stated

"It's bullshit." Dustin exclaimed "I just got home." He sighed "Well, there loss. Suzie awaits!"

Stephenie sighed, beginning to walked up the hill along with the others— the frustration at her friends only growing, but stopped when she noticed Will wasn't beside her and she turned around but got light headed again, she felt like she was about to faint.

Stephenies grabbed her forehead as it throbbed in pain, and winced. Dustin shouted at them from further up when he had noticed them fall behind.

"Come on lovebirds, the radio tower isn't going to build itself!" Stephenie looked down at Will, wrapping her hand around his.
