HAWKINS BLEEDING! CHAPTER SEVEN:
THE FUNERAL

"Do you remember when Will fell off his bike and broke his finger? He sounded a lot like that" Dustin told the group. Stephenie did hear slight whimpering and it was definitely not a baby.

"Did you guys not see what I saw? They pulled a dead body out of the water! He's dead!" Lucas said
"Shut up Lucas!" Stephenie snapped loudly making Lucas jump. Mike put an arm on her shoulder for her to calm down and she sank back down.
"Sorry" she muttered, shrugging uncomfortably.

"Maybe it's his ghost, maybe he's haunting us" Dustin suggested

"It's not his ghost"

"And how do you know that"

"I just do"

"Then what was in that water"

"I don't know, but all I know is Will is alive, Will is alive! All we have to do is find him"

"This isn't going to work, we have to get El to a stronger radio" Stephenie said looking at Mike

"Mr Clarke's heath kit"

"the heath kit is at school, there is no way we are going to get the weirdo in there without anyone noticing. I mean, look at her"

Stephenie had a idea. A Makeover.

Stephenie had only done makeovers when she was little. But she was pretty good. When her and Steve were younger, she had nobody else to play dress up with so Steve let her put makeup on him and he went along with it.

To make her happy

Lucas and Dustin picked out a costume for el and Mike watched Stephenie put the make up on El. She went to put blush on El from Nancy's small makeup collection. She flinched but Stephanie nodded
"trust me" she said

El put on a pink dress and a blonde wig. Stephenie helped her and when they came out Mikes jaw dropped. Stephenie smirked and looked at Lucas and Dustin

"Wow, she looks-"

"Pretty" Mike said, Stephanie raised an eyebrow "good, you look pretty good" he tried to cover it up. El walked over to the mirror

"Pretty... good"

they got to the school and went straight to the AV room where the radio was. But it was locked
"Can you unlock it? With your powers?" Dustin asked and El went to use them before mr Clarke came around the corner

"Hey guys... and girls" he said

"Hey Mr Clarke"

"I don't believe we've met I'm Mr Clarke— who are you?"

"Elev—" El started

"Elenor" Mike interrupted "She's my—"

"Cousin" Lucas helped

"Second cousin" Dustin finished

"She's here for Wills funeral" Stephanie added

"Welcome to Hawkins Elenor, wish you were here under better circumstances"

"Thank you" El said quietly

"Where are you from exactly?"

"Uh a place"

"Sweaden"

"Ya I have a lot of family over there"

"She hates it there"

"Cold"

"Sub zero" Dustin added. Stephenie mentally slapped her head—they were not good at lying.

"Shall we?"

"We shall" Stephenie said

"Yup"

They walked into the gym Dustin opening it dramatically interrupting everyone to look at them. Dustin turned around to leave but Stephenie pushed him back and then they went to sit down.

Stephenie was zoned out the whole time sitting in between el and Dustin thinking, was Will really dead? She didn't know what to believe but she just hoped she could see him again.

After a long time sitting we all got up and Mike heard Troy saying things about Will during the assembly so Mike went up behind him.

"Hey, I heard what you were saying about Will. And I think that's really messed up" Mike said
"Didn't you listen to the guidance counciler Wheeler? Great shows itself in weird ways" James snickered

"What's their to be sad about? Wills in fairly land, all happy and gay" Troy said before he turned around to leave. Mike went towards him and pushed him to the ground and everyone gasped. Troy went to get up but he stopped and started to pee himself.

Greg McCorkle— a boy who Stephenie dated around 2 years ago, laughed and pointed to Troy with a smile

"Troy peed himself" he said laughing even more, with everyone else

Stephenie turned to El to see her wiping her nose, and than walked away
"Hey what's going on here" the principal came over. Stephenie immediately ran to go to El, not wanting the principle to see her

Stephenie found Mike and the others in the hall as they were going into the AV room

"Hey I'll catch up with you guys later"

"All right" Mike said. Stephenie ran out the doors of the school, she didn't want to be involved in whatever happened in that room, she started way to many things in that school.

The next day was wills 'funeral' Stephenie wore a black dress with her black converse and her coat. She was going with the Wheeler's because Steve wasn't going. she needed to be there for mrs Byers.

She sat beside Joyce conforming her. Every once in a while a tear would fall down Stephenies face. She would catch Mike looking at her in sadness. Mike was becoming more like a brother everyday. Even if it was just a little.

After the ceremony Joyce and Stephenie were talking at the reception.

"You know, he did mention you a lot" Joyce said with a small smile coming upon her lips
"really?" Stephanie asked
"Yeah, all the time. I could sometimes hear him talking with Jonathan about you" Stephenie smiled, Will talked about her?

"He was a sweet kid"
