School Library. Some days after Midterm Examination
"Yo. Sorry for making you all gather here. We'll check your errors, but first... could I see your answer sheets?" Fuutarou said to the girls, eager to know the fate of his job. If even one of them had gotten a failure grade he would quit the tutoring as swore to the Quints' father.
"Okay... but why are you so formal?" Ichika was about to reveal his scores, stopped by Itsuki.
"I-I don't want, these are personal information! I refuse to show you." She said, embarrassed.
"Don't worry Itsuki. I'm sure you did your best!" Y/N sighted.
"Thank you... But I've already prepared myself. So please show me..." Fuutarou replied in a serious tone.
"Ta-Daa. I got 30 points in Japanese, that's a first for me... The other four subjects were no good!" Yotsuba cheered.
"I got 68 points in Social Studies. The others were barely below the passing line. It's so frustrating!" Miku said, unhappy for her result.
"I pass only Math. It's the best I can do at the moment..." Ichika was depressed.
"I failed everything but English. I assure you that I did my best!" Nino claimed.
"I-I only managed to pass Science..." Itsuki was ashamed.
"And I got around 70 points in all the subject... except a perfect score in English... Even Social Studies were too hard for me this time. What a shame!" Y/N contemplated his results.
"I see... Despite all that study... not reaching 30 points it's a bit... How dumb are you girls?" Fuutarou was depressed.
"Quiet you! At least we managed to pass a subject each." Nino was angry due his statement.
"And compared to the 100 points combined... It's an improvement." Miku saw the positive side.
"It's quite like us pass everyone a different subject!" Ichika giggled.
"Well... That's it. Y/N please, for the time being continue to help them studying. They need another push but don't be too lax. I'll be busy with other part-time jobs." Fuutarou said to his friend.
"I-I'll do my best... Although even I don't have much free time..." He replied, embarrassed.
"What do you mean? Other part-time jobs?" Miku was worried.
"Actually... I'm no longer..." Fuutarou's reply was interrupted by a phone ringing.
"It's Father... He want to talk with you." Itsuki passed her phone to him.
"If you judge him only by grades... I inform you that THE FIVE OF US PASSED ALL THE FIVE SUBJECTS." Nino replied to his father, slightly twisting the truth, the presents were speechless.
"This time I managed to trick Papa, it won't work again... so make it reality next time. Surely I don't want other jerks tutoring us. You two are enough for my nerve!" Nino saved the guys with an unpredictable move.
"... You bet I will!" Fuutarou recovered from the surprise.
"Fuutarou... My heart is pounding. Is it love... or a heart attack?" Y/N asked, mesmerized by the scene of the smiling girls.
"Who knows... After some celebrations we'll check our tests. But before all of you deserve a reward! We had talked about a "parfait"?" Fuutarou smiled, lightened by tension.
"Of course I'll get one extra-large!" Itsuki replied at his proposal.
"I prefer a cheeseburger, maybe two... with french fries and nachos!" Y/N said, getting hungry.
"You didn't go well in History, Mr. Great Battles Expert! At most I'll offer you a pack of salad from the convenience store!" Fuutarou joked, Y/N was extremely gloomy.
"Don't worry Miku. He'll be with us for a little while longer..." Itsuki cheered up her sister during their walk towards the diner in front of the station.
"And about you, Fuutarou? What is your score?" Yotsuba asked to him.
"It's not important. Forget about this..." The student tried to hide his answer sheet but it was snatched by Ichika.
"Let's see. You got... all 100?!" She was astonished for his result.
"That's really your trade mark!" Y/N laughed.
"It was really good this "Parfait"! But I still prefer salty food!" Y/N claimed while cleaning his mouth with a napkin.
"Pay attention to not gain too much weight Mr. Hero!" Ichika teased him after he finished his third portion.
"No problem... If there is someone who gain weight, for sure it's Its..." He interrupted his speech at the look of the youngest sister, she had a piercing stare pointed at him.
"Whatever... At least that's a good time for some news. Tomorrow after school I'll be out of town for the rest of the day, I can't attend our next study session." Y/N stated, he was planning to meet some friends in the near Z-City.
"Really? Is about some serious matters?" Yotsuba asked, a little worried.
"Nah... It's all fine. Only a meeting with other heroes. We'll discuss about promotions, fighting styles and stuff. Like a reunion among friends..." He explained his programs.
Little they knew about what was going to happen within the next twenty-four hours.
The day after, a desert near Z-City
"Okay, here I go! Prepare yourself Genos!" Y/N charged the cyborg at max speed.
The two exchanged quite some blows, they withstood their respective attacks very well.
"Incineration." Genos unleashed a powerful energy beam, aiming at Y/N.
"Eagle Style – Deflection!" He blocked the beam with his bare hands, using his palms he redirected the attack into the sky, avoiding any damage... except for some burns on his arms.
"Machine Gun Blow!" Exploiting a moment of distraction of his opponent Genos struck him with a powerful series of punches.
"Eagle Style – Heavy Barrage!" Taking some hits Y/N counter-attacked with a chain of searing punches.
After some time the two were again one beside the other.
"Despite my techniques you still looks brand new, Genos... But I won't give up so easily!" Y/N stated with a smile, the match had shown that he was stronger than before.
"You're really sturdy for a normal human. You can withstand my energy beams quite easily... I guess this is a draw. We can proceed with the next phase." Genos claimed while clenching his fist, his opponent was doing the same.
"Rock, paper, scissor. The winner will face Sensei first!" They yelled, starting to play.
After some void attempts ended with draws the battle was decided in a single shot.
"Ah, I won! I'm first!" Y/N cheered, pumped up to face Saitama.
The three heroes were doing a sparring match in a remote area, the main focus was to have a hint about Saitama's true strength.
"Guess it can't be helped. Let's do it quickly... I've important business to attend." The bald hero sighed, thinking about the new manga he was reading at home.
"Here I come! Take this, Eagle Style – Burning Sky Fist!" Y/N dashed towards his new opponent, releasing fire and flames with his ki infused punches.
Saitama dodged the combo while keeping his usual emotionless expression, not very intrigued about his friend's fighting style.
"You could save quite some money cooking this way..." He only commented.
"T-That's not the main purpose of my Eagle Fist..." Y/N replied embarrassed, he often used his sacred techniques in stupid and unholy ways... like cooking meals or drying clothes.
"Let's see if you keep up with this! Eagle Style – Fire Wall!" He unleashed his ki underground, beneath his opponent's feet erupted a beam of energy.
"Ah... Didn't you expected it, right Saitama?" Y/N laughed while looking at the smoke in front of him. His joyful expression changed after sensing someone behind him patting his shoulder.
"It was funny, nice trick." Saitama was too fast to be noticed, he was about to flick Y/N's forehead to end the match.
In a blink of eye and thanks to his incredible reflexes Y/N jumped away at a safe distance, panting for the effort of moving so fast.
"Pant... I've had only an instant... otherwise..." He was trembling, he felt an unease feeling when his opponent was about to strike.
"I don't know why... but I sensed my life at stack in that situation..." Y/N was catching his breath, pondering his next move.
"You're pretty fast! Like that knives-throwing weirdo I meet around from time to time, blabbing about rivalries and ninja..." Saitama commented, eager to see his friend's true powers.
"Okay... Seems that I must go all in! Take this! Eagle Style – Heat Bomber!" Y/N unleashed his trump card, his right arm was glowing of a bright red light while striking Saitama with all his strength. The man was blinded by the flash, forgetting to dodge and receiving a clear it.
All around the ground shook due the impact, the bare rock crumbling in pieces.
"Oh no! I overdid! Saitama, are you alright?" Y/N panicked, not bothering his weakened state due the stressful technique, this attack was one of his strongest but it always drained all the energies.
"Yeah... I'm fine. It feels like staying in a kotatsu..." The hero replied, not scratched at all by the heat.
"Oh... Good... So this means that I lost." Y/N fell on the ground completely exhausted.
"Now it's my turn. Please Sensei... Fight me without restrain!" Genos prepared himself for his long awaited battle.
"I'm hungry. It's time for lunch. Come with us Y/N. Let's go eat Udon!" Saitama won the match in a move, even while stopping the punch directed towards Genos.
The boy and the cyborg looked at the scenery, unbelieving. The air moved by Saitama's punch blew away an entire mountain.
"Despite all I did... I cannot picture myself coming closer to his power. He's on a whole other level..." They agreed in their common feeling.
"I almost forgot... Sensei! Silver Fang invited us to his dojo." Genos remembered their appointment.
"How boring. Let's skip... It's only a waste of time..." Saitama wasn't eager to meet the old hero.
"He offered us a lunch with quite expensive meat..." The cyborg reported his info.
"What are we waiting for? Don't let us wait! Wanna join us Y/N?" The hero changed opinion in a blink.
"I'm in for sure! It's a lot of time since I saw Silver Fang. He's the inspiration for all us martial artists!" Y/N cheered, eager to see again an important person like Bang.
"Rock Smashing Water Stream Fist!" Bang showed his technique to the audience, Charanko was always mesmerized by his movements and Y/N was clapping at him... alone.
The other two heroes weren't interested in the path of Martial Arts.
"Saitama, Genos, you both seem quick to the uptake. Wanna give a try with my dojo?" Bang asked to them.
"I only come here for the food... I'm not interested. Genos, give it a try." Saitama replied, bored as usual.
"I'm afraid I have to pass. I have a mechanical body, I don't strive for technique of self-defence. I seek only absolute destructive power and bigger weapons." Genos refused the invite.
"Sadly, my ki battle stances don't fit with your techniques... What a shame! They work in complete different way. As two sides of the same coin." Y/N was depressed, he would be honoured to train under Silver Fang's guidance.
"I know... And you are the current Master of the Eagle Fist. You have the duty to pass your knowledge to future generations! It's a shame your dojo was disbanded after the disappearance of the previous Master." Bang recalled the news of the past.
"Yeah. It's been two years since my school closed..." Y/N remembered with a veil of sadness.
"Enough of this Master! Except for our honourable guest, Master Y/N, the others are mocking our dojo. Face me you two! I'm the first disciple of Master Bang. It's my duty to put you back in your place!" Charanko was angry for the two heroes' lax behaviour.
"Before facing them, let's have a spare Charanko!" Y/N proposed, taking his battle stance.
"Urgh... I give!" Bang's disciple was utterly defeated by his younger opponent.
"What! I didn't even use my ki techniques... You need to train more, Charanko!" Y/N was disappointed for the outcome.
"This is your best disciple? I heard you had lots of powerful skilled fighters... Where are they gone?" Genos asked, tactless.
"Well... one of them, my best student, went on a rampage and beat hard all of the others. After suffering his fury they all quit." Bang told them his story.
"Seems pretty strong. What's his name?" Saitama asked, hoping to find a worthy opponent.
"His name is Garou... I've been forced to expel him after that behaviour." The old man replied with a nostalgic tone.
"Master Bang... If I'll cross my path with that jerk, I'll assure you to give him a lesson." Y/N was moved about that accident.
"Mr. Silver Fang!" A man wearing a black suit came in a hurry, panting after climbing the long staircase at the entrance.
"I'm with the Hero Association. There is an emergency! We have called for all the S-Class heroes! Please come to the Headquarters immediately. Mr. Genos... How convenient. Come with us too!" He stated, more scared than usual.
"Let's go my friends. Saitama, Y/N, seems a serious question. Please join us. Charanko, take care of the dojo in my absence." Bang said while leaving, following the Hero Representative.
A-City, Hero Association Headquarters.
"I'm visiting A-City. I'll bring you some presents :)" Y/N texted to Fuutarou.
"Did you ever think about working more seriously once in a while? You rarely act like a real hero -_-" The student replied, bothered during his precious free time of studying alone.
Late in the afternoon he was supposed to attend the tutoring session with the Quints, this time without the help of the hero.
"Yup, sometimes... But for your information I hadn't received a single complain this week!" Y/N wrote proudly.
"Dude, it's only Tuesday..." Fuutarou cut it short before putting aside his phone.
"It's been a while, Kamikaze!" Bang greeted his old friend, the hero Atomic Samurai.
"Hi, Atomic-san. I still owe your disciples a favour." Y/N too greeted the man.
"Nice to see you two... Silver Fang, still around the battlefield, eh? Never thought to take a break and leave the stage for youngsters like Y/N? I heard this boy is reckless as few..." The swordsman replied the greetings.
"Nah... for me it's too early for sure. I may have earned the title of Master but I still lack experience compared to you two!" The boy joked.
"And your friend is...?" The man looked to the unknown hero.
"This is Saitama, an outstanding B-Class hero.. I'm sure that sooner or later he'll climb the S-Class. I invited him and Y/N here, their powers could be useful for us." Bang stated.
Saitama offered his hand to Atomic Samurai who refused it.
"I won't shake hands with you. Only when I'll recognize you as a strong hero... Not before!" The man claimed.
"Hey! Who brought these two jerks here? It's a S-Class meeting!" A green haired girl said aloud, pissed off due the presence of the two guys.
"You only want to see us? Haven't you any shame?! And you... A-Class hero. You are the one who plays that Blizzard Group game with my sister. Out of my sight!" The girl pierced them with her stare.
"What's with this cheeky kid? Did she get lost?" Saitama asked, Y/N almost fainted in shock.
"NOOOO! Pardon him, Miss Tornado. I beg you!" Y/N fell on his knees.
Among humans, criminals and Mysterious Beings, Tatsumaki, known as "Tornado of Terror", was the only one who frightened him.
"She is Tornado, S-Class rank 2 hero. She is an esper... Seems that the others are already here. Let's reach our seats. " Genos inform his Sensei before entering in the meeting room.
"Are you ignoring me?! Didn't you realize who I am?" She pointed towards the two heroes, Y/N was trying to calm her down.
"Please, Miss Tornado... They know you for sure. You are the greatest and most beautiful LOL-" He bit his tongue, bleeding a little.
"If I say the L word in front of her... I'm dead meat!" He thought.
"We can't wait any longer... Let's start our meeting. I'm Sitch and I'll explain the current situation" A man declared, beside him were gathered almost all the powerful heroes of the nation.
Most of them were angered due the short notice with which they had been called.
"We want you to protect the Earth!" The officer of the Hero Association stated.
Apparently, the great prophet Shibabawa passed away chocked with some cough drops, leaving her last prophecy.
"THE EARTH IS IN TROUBLE!"
It could represent a warning for a future God Level Disaster, coming within the next three years.
Hearing the news most of the present realized the upcoming problem. They had to be ready for a harsh and bloody battle at any moment from now on.
But right after the officer's speech the building started to tremble.
A powerful earthquake shook the ground and alarms sounded all over.
The defensive system reported the destruction of the entire city with the exception of the Headquarters building, the sturdiest construction ever build.
"That's quite a problem..." Y/N looked at the huge mothership floating over the ruins of A-City, the alien vessel had just annihilated the city in a blink of eye.
He took a photo with his phone, trying to send it to Fuutarou.
"Crap! I have no signal..." He noticed.
The tutor fell on his knees, looking at the TV.
"No way..." Fuutarou was shocked for the images transmitted.
"What are you watching? A Sci-Fi movie?" Ichika asked, surprised for his behaviour.
All the girls gathered beside him, looking at the monitor and making a break from their studying.
"It's not a movie... It's the News Channel. A-City has just wiped out in an instant!" He trembled.
"I-It's terrible!" Itsuki realized his shock.
"He's there!..." Fuutarou screamed, the girls didn't realize his words.
"Y/N is over there! In the middle of that hell!" The boy revealed, he had just chatted with his friend a couple hours before.
"That's my greatest challenge. If I overcome this I could overcome anything!" Y/N was preparing his next move.
Some heroes were attacking the huge spaceship from distance but only Tatsumaki's esper powers were effective against the flying object.
Others were fighting a powerful alien, the mothership guardian.
Saitama boarded the ship without problems, noticed only by his friends.
"I can do it! I can do it! I can do it!" Y/N was repeating to himself while approaching Tatsumaki.
"Miss Tornado, I have a request... Could you use your power and make me reach the spaceship? I want to board it!" He asked.
Surviving a discussion with the woman would be his highest success.
