"Colbyyyyyy! Wake up!" I sang as I danced into the room. "Ugh." Colby groaned as I walked over and kissed his cheek. "I made breakfast." I said as his eyes cracked open.
"What's the occasion?" He asked and brought his arm to his eyes. "It's Halloween! Plus it's like...2pm." I said as he breathed a laugh.
"That's pretty late." He said and sat up. "Yeah, we have to get ready for the party." I said and sat next to him.
"It shouldn't take that long." He said and swung his legs over the side of the bed. "I suck at makeup so I want to start earlier rather than later." I said then stood up so I could go back downstairs.
"Come get breakfast then we will start." I said then skipped out of the room. When I got downstairs I set the table for both of us so we could eat breakfast together.
I decided to make french toast in the shape of bats. I knew it was ridiculous to spend so much time doing that but I was bored and Halloween was my favorite holiday.
Colby came downstairs a couple minutes later and walked over to the table. "Oh my god you're adorable." He said as he sat down at the table next to me.
"I was bored!" I said with a laugh and took a bite of my french toast stick. "Yeah, sorry for sleeping for so long." He said as I shrugged. "No big deal, I clearly know how to keep myself entertained." I said with a laugh.
We sat and enjoyed our breakfast then cleaned up the kitchen. Once that was done we went upstairs so we could get ready for the party that was happening at the traphouse.
Colby and I were going as the big bad wolf and little red riding hood so I had to figure out how to do Colby's makeup.
"Uhhhh....okay. Just letting you know this might look like shit." I said with a laugh as I opened up the packaging for the face paint. "I seem to remember you being great at makeup." Colby said as I shrugged. "I don't remember that." I said then straddled his hips and sat on his lap.
"I don't know if you'll be able to finish this makeup." Colby said as I concentrated on painting his face. "Why?" I mumbled as he drummed my ass with his hands. "Just because." He said then squeezed my ass causing me to gasp.
"Cole! Calm down." I said with a laugh and reached over to grab another color of the paint. "I can't help it that the hottest girl in the world is sitting on my lap." He said causing me to laugh. "You're so annoying." I said then kissed the part of his cheek that I hadn't painted yet.
I spent the next hour and a half doing Colby's make up. It actually turned out really good which was a surprise.
"Vi, this looks so good." Colby said as he ruffled his hair to be messy. "Thank you, thank you." I said and bowed then started cleaning up. "Alright, my turn to do your makeup." He said as I laughed. "Nice try." I said then turned to go do my makeup.
I decided to do a subtle smokey eye and a red lip to match the outfit I was going to wear. After I was done with my makeup I curled my hair then went into the closet.
Colby was in there, buttoning his red flannel up. He was wearing ripped black jeans and his hair was ruffled in a messy style.
"Damn." I said and smirked as he looked over at me. "Like what you see?" He asked as I pulled my outfit down. "Mhmmm." I said then started to get dressed. My outfit consisted of a short red skirt and a cropped red hoodie.
I paired the outfit with thigh high black boots and a little wicker basket with white claws in it.
"Damn, V." Colby said as I walked out of the closet. "Like what you see?" I teased as he walked over and wrapped his arms around me. "Always." He said then kissed my cheek.
"I think we're gonna be the hottest couple there." I said as I grabbed my basket. "For sure." Colby said and led the way downstairs. I made sure I grabbed makeup wipes on the way out in case Colby wanted to take his makeup off.
We got in the car then made our way to the party. I was so excited that I was off of work this year. Sophia was always so sensitive with me around this time of year because of what happened with Peter.
I was really grateful to work for someone who actually cared about her employees. It was really refreshing.
When we got to the party there were already a shit ton of people here. "Jesus, this is bigger than I thought it would be." I said with a laugh as we made our way into the house.
"Yeah, Halloween parties are always crazy." Colby said and took my hand. "We need to take pictures before we get wasted." I said as walked walk inside. "You're right...hey Ki!" He yelled and waved to Ki.
"Hey! WOW, you guys look hot!" Ki said as she danced over to us. "Hey, you do too!" I said and took in her outfit. She was wearing a skin tight black dress with fish nets and a witch's hat.
"I know." She said and wiggled her hips. "Right, can you take our picture?" I asked as Colby pulled his phone out.
"Hell yeah!" Ki said and took my wrist, pulling me towards the backyard. When we got there she situated me in front of the display they set up.
They had decorated the whole backyard to look like a haunted house and even dyed the pool water to be purple.
Colby wrapped his arm around my waist so Ki could take our picture. "Shiiit y'all are adorable." She said and took a bunch of pictures. "Thanks, Ki." I said as she handed Colby his phone back. "No problem, come on. Let's get drunk." She said then took my wrist and dragged me away again.
"Have fun!" I yelled to Colby as Ki dragged me inside. "V!" Kat yelled as she handed me a shot. "Hey! This party is insane!" I said then took the shot.
"Devyn planned it!" She said as I took a can of pineapple white claw from my basket. "That makes sense." I said as we walked towards the living room where the dance floor was.
We danced for a while, drinking and laughing the entire time. I didn't see Colby for most of the night which was fine because he was probably off somewhere having fun.
"Violet!" Sam said happily as he danced over to me. "SAM!" I slurred and danced with him. "Are you having fun?" He asked as I nodded. "It's my last holiday as a Richards and I'm having a great time!!" I yelled as he laughed.
"Hell yeah!" He said then spun me. I giggled and looked around the room feeling the happiness coursing through my veins. We danced for a while before I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist.
"Oh!" I said and gasped, looking down, recognizing the red flannel. "Babbyyyy." I hummed and leaned my head back into his chest.
"Hey, beautiful. Are you having fun?" He asked as I giggled. "Mhmm...I have to pee though." I said and twisted in his embrace to face him. "Stay here." I said sternly then went towards the bathroom.
When I got in there I stumbled towards the sink and giggled to my reflection. I fixed my appearance a little bit then did my business. As I washed my hands I heard the door opening. "Oh shit!" The girl said as she walked in.
"It's okay, I'm done in here." I said then turned towards the girl. I felt my stomach drop when I saw who it was. "Oh....Violet." Jordan said as I sighed. "Hi, Jordan." I said as I dried my hands. "I thought you moved away." She said as I shook my head. "Nope." I said then started to leave the room.
I noticed her look at my hand as I walked past. "Wow..that's a rock." She said and gestured to my ring. "Yeah." I said then started to walk away. I could feel her eyes on me as I walked towards the living room.
"Feel better?" Colby asked as I walked back to him. "Mhmm." I mumbled and wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my cheek on his chest. "You okay?" He asked as I nodded. I hugged him for a second then pulled away and grabbed another drink from my basket.
"Did something happen?" He asked as I chugged the drink. "Jordan's here." I said then continued to chug my drink. "Don't worry about her, V." Colby said as I nodded. "I'm not." I said then turned to Ki.
"Shots?" I asked as she nodded. "Hell yeah." She said then danced towards the bar. I took Colby's hand and pulled him with me. When we got to the bar Ki poured three shots then handed one to Colby and I.
"Let's get lit!" Ki said then tapped her glass to ours then downed the shot. I looked at Colby with a smirk then took the shot.
We spent the rest of the night getting drunk and having a good time. I think Colby was a little nervous about Jordan being at the party because he made sure to stay with me for the rest of the night.
I wasn't worried though because I knew at the end of the day Colby and I were getting married in just two short weeks.
Nobody was going to ruin that.
