Elenas POV
I toss around in my sleep, feeling extremly restless.
After one nightmare, I thought I wouldn't have anymore, especially when Damon and Enzo comforted me.
Oh boy how was I wrong.
I gasp awake tears in my eyes. I clutch Winnie and Wolf tightly and try to forget the worst part of my nightmare.
It was total chaos and didn't make any sense.

The nightmare:
I was peacefully laying on the couch with Kol sitting upsidedown. It was just us and we had a lot of fun.
Our moment was interrupted by a loud bang, coming from the front door.
A random man and Mikael came and roughly grabbed my arm and yanked me away from Kol.
The random man grabbed Kol while Mikael held me tightly.
"Still being friends with a trash huh?" Mikael spat and I whimpered from the pain.
"Stop!" I yelled as the random man stabbed Kol multiple times.
Mikael laughed and laid his head on my shoulder.
I shivered from disgust and I held back my tears.
"You can't save them and when you fail, I'll be there to remind you." He whispered to me and forced me to look at Kol.
My eyes widened when I saw the white oak stake in the random man hand.
"Sshh, it's okay Elena." Kol whispered.
"NO!!" I yelled tearfully when the man stabbed Kol with the white oak stake.
The last thing I heard before I woke up was the disgusting laugh belonging to Mikael.

Sob wrecks through my body from the memory.
It has been one of my worst fears here, not being able to save the people I care about.
I open my eyes and another mix between a gasp and a sob leaves me.
I look around me with wide eyes. I'm sitting in a driveway to the Mikaelson mansion, still clutching Winnie and Wolf.
I wipe my eyes and hiccup, but stand up quickly.
I run towards their mansion and knock on their door many times.
I can't help the one or two sobs.
Daamn I feel weak and useless at the time.
The door opens and reveals very annoyed Niklaus.
When his eyes land on my shaking form, his expression changes to one of badly hidden worry and fury.
"Elena?" He asks and opens the door more widely.
"Is... sob... Is Kol here?" I ask and clutch my stuffed animals.
Kol must have heard me, as he speeds next to Niklaus.
Not far behind a very worried Elijah walks over.
I flung myself at Kol and he quickly wraps his arms around me.
I wrap my legs around his middle and hold him tightly while sobbing.
"Shh shh..." Kol calms me down and strockes my head and gives me a small kiss on the side of my head.
Niklaus closes the door and turns to us.
"What is wrong Elena?" Elijah asks and steps closer to us.
"T-Thkilkol." I try to form a sentence, but nothing comes out clear enough to understand.
Kol tightens his hold on me and turns around to walk to the living room, leaving confused Elijah and Niklaus behind.
I cuddle close to him and steady my breathing.
Kol sits down on the couch and just holds me.
He was alive, well alive as he could be, he was here.
He calmly ran his hand through my hair and I relaxed against him.

THIRD POV
As Kol left the hallway with Elena, Elijah turned to look at Niklaus.
"What happened?" Elijah asks his little brother hoping that he would know what made his Elena so sad.
Niklaus shakes his head with a sigh.
"I don't know brother. I was painting when I heard a loud crack, then nothing for a while, which is weird. Soon someone knocked so many times that I thought they will come through the bloody door. She was there crying and you know the rest." Niklaus answers and throws his hands up in the air.
"Hmph." Elijah says and looks at Niklaus.
At the moment both of the brothers made a promise to kill the bastard who dared to hurt their little doppelgänger.

Kol stands up from the couch with a sleeping Elena in his arms.
He couldn't understand why, now his best friend and partner in crime, was so upset.
As he walks upstairs he thinks about all the possible ways to hurt the bastard who made her so upset.
Kol goes to a spare room and tucks Elena in.
He looks at her as she holds her stuffed animals tightly.
Kol sighs and gives a small kiss to her forehead, before leaving her to sleep.

Elenas POV
A loud thump wakes me up from my sleep.
I groan and look around from my spot on the floor.
I lay there on the floor for a moment before someone knocks on the door.
"Come in." I say and stretch my arms over my head.
Elijah comes through the door and looks at me. "Good morning..."
I see his eyes trail to my exposed stomach, before he quickly looks away.
I blush and quickly drop my arms and pull my shirt down.
"Morning 'Lijah." I say with a happy smile.
"Can I ask what are you doing on the floor when the bed is next to you?" He asks with a twitch of his lips.
"Well you already did." I smirk. "Oh well you know, just enjoying the floor. It's really comfortable."
Elijah shakes his head and walks over to me.
He looks down at me with a small smile.
"There is breakfast ready if you would like to get up." He says and tilts his head.
"Hehe hauskaa." ("Hehe funny.") I yawn and look up at Elijah with a half smile.
Elijah lifts a eyebrow.
"Help me up? Please?" I give him my best puppy eyes.
Elijah chuckles and grabs my stretched hands.
He pulls me up with quite power and we end up chest to chest.
He looks down at me and I look at his beautiful eyes.
I lift my hand and gently trace his jawline.
"How can someone look so hecking good every single moment?" I whisper and look at his face.
I leave my hand on his cheek and gently stroke it with my thumb.
He leans into my touch and I smile lightly.
Elijah starts to lean in and I follow his movements.
The door bursts open again and Kol walks in.
"Breakfast!" He yells with a smug smile.
I have no idea when the door closed again.
I quickly step away from Elijah and blush slightly.
"Uhm... Yeah sure." I clear my throat and quickly leave the room, missing the murderous look on Elijah's face.
As I walk downstairs I hear a loud crash and a yelp.
I go to the kitchen and see Niklaus sitting at the head of the table.
"Morning Luv." He says with a smirk.
I shudder and sit down next to him.
"Morning Niklaus." I say and start to eat.
"I hope you slept well." He says with a tilted head.
I take a new bite and nod.
"I'm sorry... About last night." I mumble after swallowing the pancakes.
"It's okay Love. Don't worry about it." He waves his hand dismissively, but I could see that he was curious.
Rebekah walks to the kitchen and stops at the doorway hands on her hips.
"Bloody hell. Why won't you just move in already?" She asks as she goes to take a blood bag.
"Excellent idea little sister." Niklaus says with a smirk and I giggle.
I continue eating and soon Elijah comes to the kitchen.
I look up at him and smile slightly.
He has lost his suit jacket and his hair is a little bit messy.
He smiles at me and sits next to Niklaus.
We continue eating and drinking.
I look up at Finn when he arrives to the kitchen frowning.
"Why is Kol upstairs trying to get a piece of wood out from his chest?"

"AND VICTORY!" I yell happily and get up dancing.
"I give up. I have lost 21 games to you now. I'm useless." Finn says with a big sigh.
He throws the cards to the table and falls back to the chair.
I giggle and dance behind him.
I kiss his cheek over his shoulder to cheer him up.
"You did great. You won one. That is a improvement to losing all." I say with another giggle.
Finn smiles slightly and throws a playful glare at me over his shoulder.
"That helps a lot Elena. Thank you."
I gasp and put my hand on my chest.
"Did... Did you just?! Did you just use sarcasm?!" I ask in a over dramatic manner.
Finn rolls his eyes.
Niklaus enters the study and looks at me.
"What happened?" He asks with another tilt of his head.
"Finn used sarcasm!" I yell laughing and Niklaus smirks.
"Well look at that. Our dear brother is not a total corpse." Niklaus taunts and Finn sighs.
"Well I did have something to ask." Niklaus says as he turns to me.
"Elena."
"You know my name?! That's amazing!"
"Elena, Love." I hear the playful warning in his voice.
"Neeeklaus." I giggle.
Niklaus turns to Finn with a raised eyebrow.
"What is she on?"
Finn shrugs with a small smirk.
Elijah enters the room with a smile.
"She ate two ice cream tubes and drank too much... something. I do not know what it is." Elijah comments.
"I did not! It was one and three quaters."
Niklaus shakes his head and turns to look at me again.
"What do you say about a roadtrip love?" He asks me.
Kol speeds to the room with a large smile.
"Did someone say roadtrip?" He asks.
Niklaus sighs and runs a hand through his hair.
"Sure. I'll come. Where would we go?" I ask excited.
"To make my werewolves Love. I need people to make hybrids since I already have your blood in bags and in real life." Niklaus says, though he wouldn't let the filthy wolves bite the little moon.
"Maybe you should find people who are willing to turn, so they will stay loyal."
Niklaus stares at me with a unknown emotion in his eyes.
"You my dear Elena, are a genius. More than our dear brother here." Kol jokes and points to Niklaus.
"Oi!" Niklaus yells and pushes Kol slightly.
"Children children." I giggle and sit down.
"But I'll come. Who else is coming?" I ask Niklaus.
"Elijah here promised to accompany us." Niklaus answers me and I send a small smile towards Elijah.
He smiles back and I turn to look at Niklaus again.
"So... No rippaah?" I ask with a pout, well I'm glad there is no rippaah Stefan but yeah.
Niklaus shakes his head with a smirk and Elijah looks confused.
Niklaus waves him off.
"What about me?" Kol asks after a moment of silence.
"What about you?" Finn asks amused.
"What am I supposed to do?" He asks with wide eyes.
"Have some fun, do something, I don't care." Niklaus shrugs.
'Liar, you do care.' I think with a small smile.
Kol pouts and Finn laughs with a shake of his head.
"I'll go pack, say quick bye to everyone and meet you back here." I say as I stand up.
"Of course Love. We'll wait here." Niklaus says as I leave to pack.

After saying bye to all the important people, and having a debate with Damon why should he let me leave, I go back to the Mikaelson Mansion.
I knock on the door and walk in with my bag.
"Hello Elena." Elijah greets me with a smile.
He drops his bag on the floor.
"Heya." I greet him and lower my bag too. I got the basic stuff that everyone needs.
"I thought you would like these." Elijah says as he pulls Winnie and Wolf from his bag.
I quickly grab them and hug them tightly.
"I wondered if I left them here." I mumble.
Elijah smiles and puts a strand of hair behind my ear. He backs away with a smile.
Soon Niklaus joins us and takes my bag from me.
"Shall we go?" He asks.
Finn joins us at the hallway and gives me a hug.
I hug him back with a smile.
"Rebekah is not here anymore but she asked me to tell you to be safe." He comments and steps away.
Quickly after Finn said his part, Kol joins us with a dashing look.
I look at him with wide eyes and then giggle.
"And where are you off to?" Elijah asks Kol.
"To have some fun of course." Kol answers Elijah with a smirk.
Kol gives me a quick hug and then starts to leave.
"Kol wait!" I say.
He turns to me and I bite my lip to stop the bubbling laugh.
"Hey Kol, I think you dropped something: MY JAW." I say and bite my lip shaking.
Kol looks at me and I can see him shaking silently while pursing his lips.
Finn groans loudly.
"Just please leave."
