I woke up early the next day and was determined to figure out what was wrong with Fred and I.

After Ginny told me last night that I needed to take matters into my own hands, I decided she was right and I'd have to talk to him myself. We were both incredibly stubborn people, which made it hard for me to just push everything to the side and approach him.

But at the end of the day I didn't even know why he was upset. And it was taking too much energy out of me to keep ignoring his looks at the dinner table, and staying clear of his path on the way to classes.

I had given him enough space this week and he clearly wasn't going to come to me himself. During breakfast I pondered walking over to him, but I realized this wasn't the time or place to have this kind of talk. I would just have to wait until he was alone.

"Congratulations on making captain," I saw Anastasia ran forward and hug me. I wrapped my arms around he rback and was about to open my mouth when she interupted me, "Sorry but Snape will kill me if I'm late for potions again so we'll talk later!" She ran off.

"That was the shortest reunion I've ever had," I shrugged to Hermione eating the rest of my toast.

"I don't know she seems...different this year," Hermione looked down, playing with her fork.

"Different?" I asked mid bite, "how so?"

"I don't know everything. I've seen her talking to multiple Slytherin's since we've been back, her mannerisms have changed, and she hasn't even said hello to me either," Hermione listed. I suppose in a way she was right, but I knew Anastasia wasn't that kind of friend. Since we lived together all of last year, I knew I could go several weeks without talking to her and I would find her sleeping in my bed one night, asking to share a carton of ice cream like we were besties.

"I'll find out what's up with her I'm sure it's nothing," I dismissed the idea. With a final scoop of her cereal, Hermione finished breakfast and we stood up to head to our first lesson. I told myself to focus hard on the assignments the Professors were giving us but my mind kept wandering to Fred. I was nervous as hell to approach him, not knowing if our conversation would end in a kiss or a slap.

After a long day of classes I stood by a wall and waited for who I was looking for. I assumed George was my best bet to finding a proper way to have this talk with his brother since he knew him best.

"George!" I called spotting his head in the corridor. This was one of the rare times that both of the twins weren't together.

"Oh hello my favorite American, I've hardly seen you this year," he smiled down at me. At least one twin was being nice to me.

"Yeah sorry. As you've probably seen Fred's been ignoring me since we got to Hogwarts and that's what I actually came to find you about."

"Oh?" George answered.

"Yeah can you tell me what's wrong with him? Everything was going great when we were living at the order's headquarters and it's like as soon as we stepped on the train he flipped a switch," I admitted to him, confused.

"Listen I don't think it's really my place to say, plus Fred didn't really tell me much about it. I think you should go talk to him," he advised.

"Yeah if he even acknowledges my presence," I scoffed.

George elbowed me at my comment, "of course he'll acknowledge you, you know how much he likes you. Just be patient with him."

"Okay thanks George," I sighed, "I'll see you tomorrow." I began to walk away from him and mentally go through my memory of what Fred's schedule was. I had to think for a moment but I finally remembered it and headed down to Hagrid's hut. I spotted the redhead I was looking for talking amongst a small group.
