The Gryffindor common room was buzzing the next day after tryouts. Harry had come to a conclusion over who the team would be by the following day, and had the bulletin posted in the morning. I smiled happily at the power team Katie, Ginny and I would make as chasers, with a fourth year boy and girl as our two reserves.
The keeper was obviously Ron with Cormac as his reserve; the girl who played as our keeper last year ended up transferring to another school. Unfortunately stupid Aiden from last year had seemed to better his skills over summer, and he was picked as a beater along with a bulky looking 5th year.
Since it was Saturday we were just lounging around while everyone was congratulating us left and right for making the team. It was the first Hogsmead weekend for only 5th years and up, so we planned on heading out during lunch time.
"And you really can't come with us?" I frowned asking Anastasia for the third time to come to Hogsmead.
"No I'm sorry," she sighed, "Draco and Pansy invited me to go with them too, but my parents will send me a howler if I don't raise my Divination grade."
"I have no idea why you decided to continue that class," I shook my head.
"Beats me," she smiled, "but I've gotta go we have a test on Monday!" With that Anastasia waved at me and head back up the stairs to her dorm.
"Hi Ron!" Lavender jumped out from behind him on the couch and I cracked up seeing his body jump up in the air.
"Oh hello," he shrugged and gave her a polite look.
